Now THAT was useful, have run out of a £4.50 bottle of Pebeo drawing gum bought four years ago, and the cheapest price on eBay was £9, which to me is taking the proverbial. The problem is and happening more and more is that to get experience wit artistic materials you need to make mistakes and concentrate on your art not worrying about the cost of using the material, i.e. drawing gum. So thank you very much, will certainly try this.
Alma Rosa Arredondo Arce if you put a paper towel on top of your work and lightly iron it the deodorant will re melt into the paper towel, then you should be able to paint over it. Some very strong deodorants don’t remove easily, these behave more like permanent masking fluid.

No it won’t work as efficiently, try masking tape or stencils instead to block out areas you want to reserve. I have used oil pastels as a resist but only under thin acrylic, thick acrylic just sticks to it . Hope that helps

What was the final result? The video doesn't show. Can the masking fluid be removed easily?
I would expect the deodorant to spread around in the paint as well as get on the brush.
What were the long term results?
Once the deodorant dries it doesn’t spread, this is only a quick fix for experiments rather than for a final picture
@@JulieAnnSheridan than what's the point? The wax resist or crayon would work then and be easier
