Why surprisingly? KAC is 70 year old airline with excellent service & safety record, Fly with confidence!
It's always best to keep your expectations low when flying a new airline so that you wouldn't be dissapointed if the product is lackluster.
Usual attitude Brits have that anything east and non english speaking will be inadequate. Standard good ol' colonisation mindset

Emirates, ethihad, Cathay pacific, Singapore, Saudia, Oman Air just to name a few are all well known in the Uk for aviation lovers and just average people. I personally don’t like England as a country but not everyone there is like what you are saying

Most people in the uk think Saudi Arabia is a hell hole and don’t know anything about it but still know the Saudia airline and think it’s good.

I believe they need to improve their cabin services in order to compete with the competition specially in the gulf where most of the top niche airlines competing with each other Qatar / Etihad / Emirates

I love the call to prayer, when i hear it on holiday i know im far far far away from home.
My first flight as a 12 year old was with Kuwait Airways. 767-200 AMS-FCO, a cool experience.
There are no planes in the Kuwait Airways fleet 767-200!!!

I really do respect the effort kuwait airways has done I think I can compare it to Emirates and Qatar and now I think that they can proudly say that their one of the best airlines in the world

Not a big fan of terminal 4, but the gulf air lounge is great - used it when I flew with Oman Air.

Why do you say "Surprisingly" good? Kuwait airways have always had an excellent reputation.
I agree with you on that... he's also comparing it to airlines like Emirates in which their new business class literally is 3 3 3 or 2 3 2. that's worse than United old Polaris class Jesus. Kuwait airways is a refined airline and I really would enjoy flying them.

I mean… Alcohol is illegal in Kuwait🤷🏻♂️ one of the reasons why KAC hasn’t made a big revenue as Qatar, Emirates and Etihad, same issue with the Saudi Airline. No alcohol = less customers, less customers = lower quality service due to, well… low customers😂😂

I can’t understand why they would insist on closing the blinds on a day time flight. Did they give a reason? Can you refuse to close it because if I had paid for a window seat, I would want it open for the whole flight as a love looking out of the window. Great video though Noel. Keep up the good work 👍🏻✈️

Kuwait Airways appears to have a superb product on its Boeing 777s and I think Skytrax should upgrade the airline from a Three star airline to a Four Star one.

The lack of alcohol is not an issue for me. The lack of a view through the window would have been enough for me to never fly with them again.
just saying.. alot of airlines do that for time zone purposes. most of the cabin needs to sleep and they cater to the majority
KewrSpotter 2006 I have no problem when the sun is at a low angle and floods the cabin with light but at night or during a day flight when you take off and land during daylight and there is no need for the blinds to come down unless there is excess light streaming in:

well it depends on the reason why.. you have to understand if they are basing off of the time zone that you are landing into and most of the passengers need to sleep it can also be disrespectful/annoying to them to have you keep your window open lol. but yeah i feel you sometimes

Flown recently? The sunlight gets so blindingly bright to the point where other people can't see their IFE screens because of the glare.
Avantime I bet you he’s one of those people who fully recline as soon as possible with no consideration for the person behind (cuz he paid for the seat!)
@@arunsreenivasan2074 Not at all. I never use the recline function of the seat (unless I'm in bc or fc which doesn't affect the one behind) But still if I pay extra for a window seat(they are often more expensive seat option) and ppl demand from me to close the window shade, I'm not happy.

I flew on an Emirates A380 from Auckland to Dubai, Dubai to London then London to Dubai and I found the seats to be so much better than the b777 I flew on back to Auckland via bali. Emirates b777 economy seats are so dated, tacky and small compared go their a380

I'm not really too crazy about the 2-2-2 configuration on aircraft cos I usually get disturbed from the other passenger whenever I'm sleeping and the want to get by to go to the liu or just walk around. I also have this issue on Emirates too since both the A388 and 77W are also 2-3-2. Unless it's a Turkish Boeing 789, A350, or even a A330, I don't really mind flying on it since it's a 1-2-1 configuration.

Kuwait Airways and EgyptAir are not a truly "dry" airline like Saudia or PIA. Kuwait and EgyptAir will in many cases allow passengers to drink alcohol purchased from duty free and will provide ice cubes, glasses etc.

Long way from the early 2000s. Back then Kuwait airport was a dump. Much improved. Skytrax is full of nasty stuff about KU. But they have improved. I flew an A300 600 on this route some years back. The food and drinks were......

If I'm not mistaken, I think that issue with the blinds in the windows is a religious thing. I might be wrong, but when I used to work at an American-islamic college they had me close all the shades in the windows in the afternoon so they could go pray in the mosque. Maybe that's the issue, I don't know.
