@@EverySingleSunday I was only asking cuz my neighbor has a gold claim. I’ve ridden some seriously sketch trails off sailor ravine. If you’re looking for a good challenge, I highly recommend it.
@@EverySingleSunday there’s a ton of trails. It just takes time to get back up there and find em all. The mountain bike shop has decent maps last time I was up there. Sailor ravine isn’t hard to find. It’s past the town cemetery a little ways. If you get another chance, I’d love to see some footage ✌️
Not frog meadows, ride the keysville classic trail out of keysville up to the top and there is tons of super fun single track, trails called mud hen and just outstanding, there is videos on UA-cam!
TBH, I was expecting you to crash earlier at that pace. So glad you didn't dump going thru a large cut-out log/tree or it mighta been Last Single Sunday. The whole time [watching this vid] I was thinking... "where's the fire?".
All started at the bottom as I stopped to set the guy in front of me out. Right before I took off the guy on the Honda blew by me on the side of the trail. So i waited a while and the. Tried to catch and pass him Let’s just say he’s a friend of a friend and I’m not his biggest fan Either way, glad it wasn’t worse
That was deff a fast ride on this trail not used to watching toy speed through was really kool though to see this fast single track . I really like the slower ones myself can see more scenery excellent ride though two thumbs up
I forget the name of this trail but I know its a bit out there You practically need to have your suspension valved for supercross for the "close to camp trails" these days. Great ride!
This looks like more fun than wrestling with loose rocks on a mountainside... I can't decide which scenery is better though. I'd love to have access to these kinds of trails. Nice job.
All about mixing it up. The hard stuff makes days like this so easy we don't have to think about it. Just like going to the gym and lifting so you can throw your girl into bed and look like a stud :)
I finally get to take my 300 out this weekend, now that it's red sticker season again! I've had fun on my 2004 Honda CRF250X green sticker bike, it's a great bike, but.... Unfortunately, due to time restrictions, I'm limited to Metcalf Park in San Jose. Nice park but very small. At least it's there. I just wish we had something further north on the Peninsula.
I actually rode up there for a Beta Demo day last year. There's a few fun "black diamond" Trails that we're fun to play on. It was also awesome they had a trials park and some little skills places set up there. Have fun on that 300
Thanks, I did. The park is fun but small and you're right, it has some technical sections though nothing compared to what I see you guys riding. The first ride back is hard for me personally because the 300 is so much more twitchy handling, the brakes are stronger, and the engine is stronger. It's harder going from the gentleness of the Honda (not meek but more gentle) to the aggressiveness of the 300. However, in a couple of rides, I'll get there, I really like my 300. Also, I'm 60 now so I don't adapt as quickly as you young whipper-snappers.
@@fredman1085 you can always put a stiffer spring in the powervalve or adjust in the screw. That will really hold the power in till later. Also, a Lectron carb really smooths things out as the bike isn't switching jets as it's revs. Have fun, take.your time

@@EverySingleSunday no worries. I just ride a lot of the same type stuff. I do the same thing with my camera. So I'm reading ahead. So when you wipe it it breaks my concentration. Then I'm like...oh wait I'm just watching not riding. Great work by the way. If you ever get to North Eastern Wyoming or the black hills of South Dakota drop me a line I'll show you around.
I hear scary rumors about California banning dirt bikes and all this stuff. Is it true? Obviously you can ride there right now, but does the future of it look promising ?
Kennedy meadows is dope
Always a good time
Different than most stuff in SoCal for sure
Vedder Mountain in Abbotsford BC Canada is much better . Look it up on youtube . This was also pretty cool .
You can watch them all here in Thai channel. And I agree, I’d rather ride vedder, McNutt, lava flow or cat over this stuff anyway
Have you ridden the downieville downhill trail? That’s a good one
I’ve ridden there once. Not sure what trails we rode. We have a video on it if you want to heck it out

Love that area. I wonder if I could do it on the 790 ADV R or if I should bring my CRF450L?
This part of the trail would be great on both of the bikes. The tighter more technical stuff would definitely be better on a small bike
Have you rode the trails up out of Keysville ( Lake Isabella ) area up to Alta Sierra ski resort?
Is that frog Meadows? I haven't ridden anything out that way

For dirt bikers, this place is better than mammoth! Unless you’re into snowmobile trails and fire roads.🤣
It’s one of the best places in SoCal to ride. Definitely a trek but worth the drive for sure. Feels more like Oregon than California
@@EverySingleSunday for sure, if you catch this place after a rain it’s something to write home about 😂
Nice. One of my favs as well.
wooohooooo excellent ride !!!

Ya, normally not moving so fast. But, this trail needed it

what is green sticker and red sticker mean??

Nice ride. What a great and beautiful trail.
Ya, kinda crazy that it's only a couple hours from Los Angeles
Dammit..when I hear SoCal I think like L.A down.
7 hrs from san Diego. Little far for a weekend ride for me lol. Have to plan a real trip I guess

That was actually my first time down it. Well, we went the other way and thsi was heading back out. So much fun
Great trail 👍. A contingent for the Fun Factor award.
Just some singletrack will some even better tech sections. Gotta love it
Your supposed to say. Just checking my skid plate thinking I have a loose bolt or something 😁😁
I wanted to say I think I tore my shoulder...
How do I get to this trail head? I know how to get to Kennedy meadows.
Up to the lookout
Drops out right behind that parking lot
Thanks man

In this stuff, the 250 4t would be great.
250 would easily keep up on anything (except wide open top speed runs obviously). certain bikes do make it easier but honestly 90% is riders skill
“Couple Hours From LA”? 😳It’s almost 4 hours! Still worth it though.
Depends on what time you leave and what part if LA you leave from
But.... It's worth it either way

how hot was it?
About 85 at the hotest part of the day. Definitely better than not being in the mountains. It was 106 on today's ride :-(

Technically yes.... But I just act as if I'm plated
