I love Jagmeet. He's proven to be an outstanding candidate, public speaker, and cogent in terms of policy mandate. He's a third party making huge promises and unfortunately will likely underdeliver (as do all govt's) but I would totally vote for him if he spoke more to younger people. He's a fresh looking guy, and he should be talking about automation, the new coming economy, the future of work, UBI and helping people transition into green energy Jobs. I believe he's set out to do that but he could really tap in to his youthfulness. The whole idea of being a Canadian is the you intergrate into the Canadian society. Coming to Canada and still believing in your own culture and be loyal to your own country is not being Canadian. When watching football in a world tournament you cheer for Canada your home country and not for the team of the country that you are from. You are free to say or do whatever you wish but being a real Canadian means that you put Canada first. I also believe that only third generation citizens should be allowed to run for public office. Many politicians have lived here for many years and can have a conflict of interest when it has something to do with Canada and the country where you are from and that should never be allowed to happen.

In the leadership race for the NDP, one question that all the candidates fumbled on is what makes them different than the liberals. The only answer was prettymuch, "we are the liberals but we deliver what we promise". This to me is not good enough. I love Jagmeet. He's proven to be an outstanding candidate, public speaker, and cogent in terms of policy mandate. He's a third party making huge promises and unfortunately will likely underdeliver (as do all govt's) but I would totally vote for him if he spoke more to younger people. He's a fresh looking guy, and he should be talking about automation, the new coming economy, the future of work, UBI and helping people transition into green energy Jobs. I believe he's set out to do that but he could really tap in to his youthfulness.
Unfortunately only Elizabeth May has a *solid* vision and position on these things and she's the oldest candidate! 😅😂
I THINK I'm still with Liberals for my riding however, just not enthused about Trudeau and certainly considering my options.

The whole idea of being a Canadian is the you intergrate into the Canadian society. Coming to Canada and still believing in your own culture and be loyal to your own country is not being Canadian. When watching football in a world tournament you cheer for Canada your home country and not for the team of the country that you are from. You are free to say or do whatever you wish but being a real Canadian means that you put Canada first. I also believe that only third generation citizens should be allowed to run for public office. Many politicians have lived here for many years and can have a conflict of interest when it has something to do with Canada and the country where you are from and that should never be allowed to happen.

I really like this video, most the info you give is really great. But when you say "The same policies, but more" that really doesn't get to the point. NDP are left wing socially, just like the Liberals. But they are also left wing economically and politically, the Liberals are not. And this is why the Liberal's have fallen through on promises that seemed important to them, and why the NDP won't. The Liberals actually have more in common with Conservatives when you look at the entire policy.

An NDP motion that would have scrapped the Canada-China Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPA) was easily defeated by the government on Monday evening, but the NDP believes Liberal support would’ve encouraged some skeptical Conservatives to vote for it.

Under the terms of a trade agreement signed by the Harper government, Canada could be held liable for any losses Chinese companies incur during the COVID-19 crisis.
Canada’s former Conservative Prime Minister signed the secretive deal, known as FIPA, with China in 2012. Experts, labour advocates, and human rights groups warned against the agreement. Yet, the Harper government ratified FIPA two years later in 2014.
One of the provisions in the agreement could spell trouble for Canada. Article 11 holds that if Chinese corporations incur losses as a result of “war, state of national emergency, insurrection, or other similar events,” the Canadian government can be sued for compensation.
Mukesh Khanal of the University of Calgary’s The School of Public Policy highlights the “state of national emergency” definition. Canada’s COVID-19 response could very well trigger that condition. While the federal government has not declared a state of emergency, all of Canada’s provinces and territories have.
Chinese corporations can use Article 11 to sue the Canadian government - in court or via secretive tribunals. However, Canadian corporations do not enjoy the same level of privileges.
Conservative leadership candidate, Erin O’Toole, who was the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade at the time, defended the deal ardently. O’Toole championed the deal for securing protections and certainty for Canadian businesses.
The Harper government’s decision to sign and ratify the deal means that Canada will be locked into the conditions of the agreement until 2045.

In the leadership race for the NDP, one question that all the candidates fumbled on is what makes them different than the liberals. The only answer was prettymuch, "we are the liberals but we deliver what we promise". This to me is not good enough. I have work with some I was in my experience was not treated fairly properly one was paying 5 . 25 hour when it was 10.25 to start he told me later when I got paid was at 5. 25 n when I was picking apples the guy no shit fucking hit me on my head for no reason i walked off the job never looked back. Got my pay n left .this was my experience.
