I lived in LV. My BF worked for the Public Administrator. His job was to go to death scenes and secure 'valuables', like bank account records, cash, jewels, sometimes high end paintings, furnishings, Tiffany lamps, etc. They hold these items until the next of kin can be found. Guess who gets the stuff if they cant find the next of kin? Clark County. And they auction all the stuff off for big bucks to fill their coffers. NO option here. They just take charge. It's a corrupt office if you ask me.

Robert Telles also had complaints from the community about how bad of a job he was doing as the Public Administator.
When he was arrested he barricaded himself inside his house. The neighborhood had to be evacuated. When he finally came out he was sent to the hospital for self inflicted injuries. However the injuries weren't serious and he shortly was in jail.

@@doom4067 The rub here is the establishment was really pissed off one of their gatekeepers was killed. It explains the rather silly arrest and trial in this case. Explains their effort to secure the ability to keep gates regulated with their shield laws. The general public has little idea just how hard these people are working to keep citizen journalists OUT of the First Amendment. Most web properties of size censor real debate. Censor users with all manner of gating and throttling.
We needed to see Jeff German's phone records in this case. The STATE was successful in stopping that from happening. We need to know how the killer was able to verify he was even home that morning. We need to know how the killer was able to lie in wait and summon his presence to the very spot he was killed. I would submit he/they used the phone to do both. Those numbers even if using a burner phone, TRACE. They can also definitively prove the identity and guilt or innocence of the killer. I seriously doubt anybody beyond the guilty in this case were compromised by looking at his phone records. If the person making the calls had been Telles it is a certainty the records would have materialized Shield Law or not.

It all depends on the charges. I've seen someone play stupid and get the charges dropped because the courts didn't want to deal with it.
They pretended to not understand anything and said they wanted to defend themselves. They were setting it up so had they been found guilty they could pretend that the courts took advantage of them and file appeal after appeal.
The court just gave up and let them go. It was nuts.
Now a murder case there's no way I'd defend myself but if it was something that had minimum prison time, I'd definitely defend myself after seeing what I've seen and knowing what I know.

Robert Telles, the name of a desperate killer. I have been following this case since the beginning when Jeff was found stabbed. Jeff began investigating Robert after employees complained about his harsh, heavy handed, corrupt running of his office. He also had an affair with a woman working under him, and he is married. Fact is, he has been terrible from the day he was in university. He sexually assaulted a fellow classmate when he was class president and kept denying even though it was true. Then when the truth was out, he threatened her multiple times. After he was removed from that job, she lived in fear because he kept stalking her. His disgusting and disturbing actions are being looked into now that he is certainly going to prison. This is because he is representing himself because he was once a lawyer. Problem is, he was a personal accident lawyer and quite a terrible one at that. The story is he was fired because he didn't do his job and stole from clients. There is a big difference from a criminal defense lawyer and a personal accident lawyer. His lack of remorse, ability to accept misconduct, disgusting behavior, and psychotic episodes make him a terrible person indeed. However, he has not been found guilty and is presumed innocent until found guilty. Still, with so much stink around him, I am positive he did what he did.

The crime story of how "a lawyer turned esteemed politician, heavy-handed boss, and pencil pusher became a murderer of a high-profile journalist" sounds like some Hollywood story, but it's real. That is why it's so captivating to me. Also, I have some updates for those who are wondering about this case. The trial is set to begin in August of this year. He is still representing himself.

Jeff was always a great guy, he had a big heart and would have helped anyone. He didn't deserve to be murdered and I hope Robert dies in much the same way he took Jeff's life.

Hi Mike. If you ever read this amongst your many other comments, apologies in advance for waffling. I tend to read other people's comments and rarely disagree or feel strongly enough to write something, then have a splurge, so, another apology is needed because I think this might be the first time I've commented on your content despite being a long term addict. I'm a bit of a technophobe at heart and can only just about navigate UA-cam to watch things but I decided to comment today because this is the second new video about this story I've seen in a week and, as well as never having heard of it before, its really given me the shivers. Not perhaps the worst person you have profiled (in your own unique way) but you just have the feeling that he COULD be.
I like to think that I don't judge people on first impressions/appearances/'bad vibes' but this individual made the hairs raise on the back of my neck right from the get-go, even via a screen. I'm not going to list all the reasons why - for me, your narrative gave all the relevant details about this incredibly sick (psychologically) individual and the footage of him speaks for itself really. He's probably MORE unnerving when he's trying to be appealing. I was kind of relieved when you flashed up your 'Manson lamps' caption because it made me feel a bit less of a judgmental shit in taking such a dislike to this person based on two UA-cam videos!
Anyway, that's just my perception. I will try and comment more often, and more briefly, because I know it helps your algorithm and it's the least I can do for all the great content you put out there. I'm in Co. Cavan so I'm too 'frugal' for anything like Patreon!
Seriously though, I'm out in the wilds with just my dog, goats, geese and cats, which I only mention because they are the ones who keep me sane knowing that the people I hear about in your videos are real and out there. Meanwhile, your videos are what help me keep sane from the shenanigans involved in keeping a dog, goats, geese and cats! So really, as a smallholding we are supporting your channel - we'll even offer you Finbar the goat as a mascot for That Chapter (no, really, that's a joke - he's an asshole!)
Thank you for all the great content.

She stated that at one point he got so mad at something she said that he looked at her like he was literally about to kill her. This is the town I was born in and still live. I'm almost 70. I also used to work at the Review Journal. ( not during this time) When RT said that car 'looked like mine' he failed to add, because it WAS his or more correctly, his wife's. He has tried everything possible to slow this down. Jeff G lived like most Las Vegan's, meaning he did not live in a gated community. Many people begged him to hire security, long before he started writing about RT. It's a shame that he went alone to look at the possible reason for the loud banging he heard hitting against his house. The last thing on earth anyone, and I imagine Jeff, expected was to be ambushed. His neighbor also heard the banging but did not go out. Jeff was killed in the late afternoon but not found until the next day. His neighbor was the one who found him. Jeff lay dead outside all night next to the house he loved whilst RT went home to his wife. I pray he never walks this earth again as a free man. Had this monster just stepped down and stopped screwing robin, he might have been able to restart his career as an attorney. Las Vegas has a big heart when someone tries to straighten up. But he didn't do that. His job was a job that most of us never heard about. Now, a respected journalist is dead. My only hope is that he receives justice in prison, that is, assuming he is rightly found guilty. Thanks for covering this.
