- Trying the LARGEST INDIAN STREET FOOD eatery in North America. A visit to Chai Wagon & Happy Singh Street Eats...
Chaat, Chai, Chapati and more... On a wet, cold rainy day, nothing can be more comforting than a nice cup of hot Chai tea. The only thing that can top that, is feasting on the amazing street foods of India from the North to the South.
I was lucky to find a massive eatery focusing on Indian Street Food here in North America! And since we can't travel, this is the next best thing as all the street foods across India comes to you in one place. Before visiting the feasting on the Chaat, Puri, Kulcha, Lassi, and other tasty treats, I had a chance to visit a street cart called the Chai Wagon offering warming chai and delicious snacks such as a crispy stuffed sandwich filled with a savory potato filling or and curry paneer filling.
Then it's off to North America's largest Indian Street Food eatery at Happy Singh Street Eats for the snacks, breads, tandoori items, and of course, the sweets. As always, thank you so much for joining and lets do some exploring!

👋🏼 Hi Tim 👋🏼 Another mouth watering video. 🤤 Another place to try. Everything looked delicious. I wasn’t hungry before...now I’m starving. Love the great work you put into all your videos. Thanks so much. 🤩
Thank you so much Sonja! It was quite a nice find and one can't really go wrong with anything crispy and comforting :-)
The Happy Chat Basket looked incredible. It had so much in it and most of it fairly healthy.
Agreed 😋. It was quite nice and crispy... 🙂
Street food is my fav! Especially fun when prepared right in front of you like that jalebi. Thank you for sharing Tim:) Time for some authentic street food.
Thank you wild foodie tours! 🙂
Happy new year! You're lucky to have traveled to india. Also that you may be familiar with some dishes. We were going to try indian food, looked at menu on the outside, got overwhelmed and decided not to try it that time. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jun, yeah, I totally agree... It's really hard to order for the first time. I actually had quite a bit of trouble trying to figure out what is what. 🙂
I like your approach with people, genuine, sincere, humble. Not many people bother to call their food server by their name.
Thank you so much for reaching out Donnie, just having fun with these videos 🙂
So much fun to see you do street food too. You know how we love Indian cuisine:) Have to admit we've not seen an India place like this before, but the Biyrani dish looks amazing.
Best wishes, James and Kim
Thank you so much James and Kim! Hope you both are doing well and the renovations are going smoothly. The meal was very good, but really really heavy 😉
Hi Tim! I enjoy your videos so much. It always makes me hungry 😄 I will definitely go try Happy Singnh this week and try the Happy Chaat appetizer. It looked amazing! So glad to find new places to try through your videos. Happy New Year Tim! 😀🎉
Happy New Year Bren! That appetizer was massive and was really happy to be able to get out for a bit to eat. Hope you get a chance to give it a try and stay safe! Cheers🙂
♥️Thank you so much this is nice 👍
Big Street Food 🍱
Thank you big street food 🙂

What ever you are doing, it's working. You look fantastic. Thank you for all this trouble. It was a joy to be with you for a while. May you have your hearts'' desire.
Love always, Bonnie
Thank you so much Bonnie, and hope you are doing well. Warmest wishes to you and your family 🙂
That Happy Chaat Basket looked so good. Years ago I had an Irish-American friend and he loved mashed potato sandwiches. Never heard anyone else eating them. Now, decades later here you are! Watching this in late July - so lovely and sunny here in Corvallis Oregon. Hope it is there too. Take care!
Sunny and warm here in Vancouver as well😀. Mashed potatoes and crunchy dishes always hit the spot 😀
Happy 2021 Tim. I'm watching this video late, and its Delicious as usual. Stay Safe. 🌟
Hoping you're doing well also Tom! Take care and stay safe 🙂
Happy New Year
Nice to see again

Happy new year Tim - hope Tom see more vids this year
Thank you Tuk! Happy New year to you too 🙂
Amazing video ,Tim~!
Thank you Jason!
Happy New Year Tim, biriyani is my favorite !
Thanks again autumnal sunsets 🙂. LeBron was quite good, and there were so many other things I wish I could have tried... Very heavy on carbs unfortunately so there was only so much one can eat.
That was a nice one. It just really quenched my appetite. You make it look really good too 🥰 of all the ethnic food varieties Indian is my favorite. I lived in an Indian temple for a few weeks and had the most awesome food experience. Will you ever go back to again? So sorry Canada is locked down again. Cheers brother. keep them coming soon 😋 how would you rate this meal?
Ohh.. hopefully will get a chance to revisit some of these places soon. Thanks again Joe!
Happy New year. Tim . All the best. Soon it will be all over.
Thanks Thomas... likewise, hoping it will soon be over also 🙂
Happy New Year Tim 🎉, this makes me wish I lived in Canada. There aren’t too many large Indian eateries here in Maryland USA.
Thank you again Priya🙂.. and hoping you had a great start to 2021 🙂.very grateful to have these restaurants here and it was quite a nice experience... I used to work with a few people from Maryland and from what I heard, can't wait to try out some of the eateries out there... As soon as we can travel 🙂
I’d be at that Indian food hall all the time.... the happy chaat basket looked amazing. And I’ve never seen the potato sandwich. The potatoes looked like what is inside a dosa.
Hope all is well Rick! Yeah, certainly enjoyed the fried foods 😃
Happy New Year, Tim.
Happy New Year Juanda 😃
Happy New Year Tim. Food looks delicious. Stay dry and safe. The weather is beautiful here in Los Angeles 🌞.
Thank you HHGK 🙂... Still wet and glue me here in Vancouver 😉
That was a whole lot of food I couldn't eat all of that, I'm glad you enjoyed it
hi Valerie, hope you're doing well... Yeah that was quite a lot of food and I did have a struggle with it as they were quite heavy...but tasty though🙂
I always love a good chai! It's just so comforting! (Wait, have you had Madhu's chai blend? It's really lovely!)
Thanks Jess! Just looking it up... Would have never thought of a chocolate chai, but what a great idea 😋
Indian food is adictive. enjoy bro
Incredibly tasty indeed 😋
A very happy new year!!!. Not that familiar with Indian food..but looks delicious..what could be bad with potatoes and chickpeas..but I'd skip the bread 🤔🤣
Hey Frank, LoL... Skipping the bread is a good suggestion... how agreed, nothing wrong with a fried potato of some sort 😋
Yummy 🇹🇹
I really enjoy your videos. 😁. I see that they had a vegan chai option. Do they have a lot of vegan options in Canada?
Actually, I do know of quite a few vegan places... Many friends from work don't eat meat or dairy for either health or religious reasons... So we've been on the search for vegan places 🙂
@@TimLeeLetsGo very cool! I eat at a lot of Asian restaurants in the Bay Area that offer vegan options. They are very good!
Tim's technique to make a la carte a buffet experience...order 3 giant trays of food!
LoL... I was kind of hoping for small portions so I can sample more stuff 😉
Please profile Saravana Bhavan in Delta. It will probably remind you of Bangalore food completely!
Awesome place Tim ! I wish we have a place like this in Houston. You can really eat Tim..3 plates and the complimentary dessert..btw my wife got me 2 more cameras over the holidays even though I told her I'm good w/ my gears..the insta360 x 2 and the sony zv1..I haven't touched the x2 yet but the sony zv1 was pretty awesome..it was designed specifically for vlogging and its under 1k ..you told me the pocket is dying so look into this one
Check out the 59s corridor. Sugarland. Unfortunately I live closer to Huntsville. Good luck.
@@ebutuoyebutouy thanks T ...will definitely check it out 😀
Thanks David, as always, your wife is amazing! Would definitely love to see the new videos using the new Sony camera! In fact, did you use it recently for the Korean BBQ? Yeah, I'm really about to ditch the DJI osmo... The lens is quite scratched up and starting to get a lot of flares in the videos...
@@TimLeeLetsGo that was all old gears ..I used it in the Bori video ( hopefully I can release it in 3 weeks) I messed up by turning the audio off on the new camera so now I have no guidance to sync it with the zoom audio 🤦♂️
@@DavidSriracha we have all been through that before 😆
I wish we had one of these here in Toronto
I was checking their site, and I suspect they might actually have one somewhere in ontario, maybe not necessarily in Toronto. By the way hope you all are doing well over there, we've been certainly keeping up with the current events there. Take care 🙂
You made my day, there is one in Brampton which is near Pearson airport in Toronto. Wishing you all the best with your channel please continue making these great videos. I am a huge fan of yours
Making me jealous, haha! 🌺
LoL Lots of crispy crunchy goodness :-)
Added to my list for when I am finally allowed to leave the island
Hi Laura, hopefully we all can travel within the province soon... February is coming shortly 😉. Somehow 2021 is feeling a lot like 2020 😆
Awesome video Tim. BTW "chai" means "tea". In India when you say "Chai tea" you are saying "Tea Tea". Just say "chai". I love chai too. I also love a thick channa masala.
Thanks Dave... Much appreciated it... Gotten so used to the Western saying of chai tea all the time 🙂. Really enjoyed all the food there and hopefully one day we can safely sample the food from its origins 😉
I put a like on your video because it is your video. hahahaha
Good presentation there.
Thank you so much again sandog Dy 🙂
Take care out there, Tim. It's a tough time to be in public. Wish we were wet here instead of in severe drought.
Thanks Dave, you take care too. I was going to make a comment about the idiom: grass being greener... But with all this rain, our grass is indeed a bit greener 😉
Dinner for 3? Or dinner for Tim? Glad u overcame this delicious challenge ..did the girls help cart you to your car afterwards ?
Yeah, I think I overdid it a bit but quite enjoyable 🙂... Though not so much afterwards 😋
Gotta love the gloomy, cold rainy days of Vancouver! 😒😅
... and it continues to be gloomy 😉... But you know what would cheer things up, a big bag of chips...🙂 Actually, 9 bags of chips would make it perfect 😋. Thank you both so much again for the kind gift. I was hoping to film it in a video soon🙂
@@TimLeeLetsGo awesome 👏 we hope you enjoy them as much as i do (grace). Seriously addicted to them
@@TwoChefsOneknife I didn't realize you all are looking after the kitchens in Whistler and BC Place! Incredibly impressive! I had a chance to go to the summer barbecue buffet at Whistler at The Roundhouse Lodge was that run by your teams there?
First... Ty .♡. Happy New Year Tim .
Thank you so much Monique 🙂 Happy New Year to you!
I miss going up to Surry for Indian food and I really miss going to Top Gun in Richmond Here in Bellingham pretty much all our food is not that good and bland and expensive for what you get
Thank you fjordking :-) I think the grass is certainly green on the other side... I've been really missing Bellingham, Seattle, Portland... :-)
Tim, of course, it was the niceness, not the cruelty. Just try to diet the next day 🐧 I was amazed and flabbergasted with that food 🥑So Vegan, so vegetarian through and through! Wonderful New Year to You too, Tim and Thank You so much 🎄Today is the Old Russian New Year, so Happy New Year again and again, over and over again! And then there would be Vietnamese New Year, and the Chinese New Year 🎆 And The Pesah!!! And then the Japanese O-Bon festival 🐳 And the Pessah!!!
LoL Petr, so many new years 🙂... It might be nice to celebrate each and every one of them 😉
@@TimLeeLetsGo I agree... Especially, during these gloomy times. To cheer up the mood. But also to fulfill the historic covenants. Tim, if You don't mind my asking so: where was the most exiting and beautiful Chinese New Year You ever celebrated? Are You planning to make any reports on the Chinese New Year food? Especially, on the Vegan one?..🥑
@@TimLeeLetsGo Quite curious details:
According to the Jewish calendar my birthday is on Shevat 1st. Which was yesterday. And sometimes, very very seldom it does coincided with the Orthodox Christmas. This year my birthday coincided with the Old Russian New Year, which was yesterday... According to the Gregorian calendar my birthday is January 24th. Which is very close to, or even coincides with the Chinese New Year... I wonder whether my Jewish birthday on Shevat 1st does sometimes coincide with the Chinese New Year? This is the question to ponder 🧘♂️⛷🏊♂️
@@petrfrizen6078 wishing you a very happy birthday(s) 😉
@@petrfrizen6078 oh, that might be fun to look at some new year events/foods... And hoping we are able to do so this year. It's funny because here in North America, it's not celebrated as much aside from meals etc. I recall I dragged out a bunch of friends for a Chinese New year's Buffet last year and managed to film it... Unfortunately was way behind on my editing and didn't get a chance to complete it 🤦🏻♂️. Hoping we can have some type of celebration this year... Even if it's somewhat limited 🙂. Do they do anything for lunar New Year where you are?
You gotta try mutton biryani next
Man....at least you have indoor dining. We in Illinois are still under lock down😑😑😑oh well. Health is number 1
Hey Jonathan, we're certainly paying attention to the numbers out there and hoping you and yours are safe... We're looking at the numbers here closely as well and hopefully things will flatten out soon
@@TimLeeLetsGo yes, hopefully everything everywhere gets back to some normalcy soon. Also, I just want to say that it's very commendable on how you actually take time out to reach out and react to your subscribers! Thank you for taking the time. Stay safe!
I envy you guys in BC. Here on Ontario it’s another state of emergency. No dine in for us 😭😭
Hi Jazz, yeah, we've been hearing of the tighter restrictions and hope you're pulling through... I think we are in the same boat as well and cautiously watching the numbers here. Hopefully it'll be flattening out soon
Okiedokie let's eat 🍴
😋
We can't even get two days of rain in a row? let alone two weeks worth. Lucky ducks over there.
Very sad to hear Ben, is it drought season again over there?
What do you do for work Tim? Love the videos
naver tastes any indian foods... have to try it sometimes 🤔
Certainly worth a try!... After all given the current situation, it's kind of fun to give you things a try 😋
how does he always know everyone's name?
Just having fun chatting with the folks there... And very grateful everyone was such good sports 🙂
the food looks great, but the system seems confusing to me.
LoL, I'd much prefer a buffet style where you can just go up and get the food without worries about tickets 😉
@@TimLeeLetsGo totally. i'm not really familiar with all indian food, so i would be lost immediately
Indian food is strange in a good way, you know when it is the time to order some and then it is the only option
Thanks Gardini... It certainly satisfies the cravings from time to time 😋
I'm gonna have a full order of chicken biryani all by myself tomorrow, no sharing.
Nice Ron😋

this review seems very sus considering all the bad reviews people have been giving it........
Definitely not an expert by any means, but thought it was pretty good...although there may have been special attention paid to the preparation of the food... Especially since I'm holding a camera 😉. On a serious note, I thought it was good, but you be the judge 🙂
Go to better places...
Certainly on the hunt for interesting places...
