Thank you for the beautiful comments. Mon started his farm in May, when low season started. I'm a bit worried and sceptical about his farm in high season (and the lost time for me) but he keeps reassuring me that everything will be okay, so let's see 😅
My thoughts, exactly! In addition to all of the above, I'm just curious as to how you get to include yourself, as those scenes are not always static, so your phone isn't just being held outstretched or propped up unheld. I'm also curious as to what program you use to edit, as I never imagined that it would be possible to collate and edit all the footage this way!
@ReelLifePhotos hi my lovely friend! Nice to see you here again! Most scenes are static as I just put the phone on a tripod. I think I only have 2 scenes where the camera is moving and I asked Mon to hold the camera, hahaha...
Nice that it looks so dynamic. Maybe also because I try to film from different angles to keep it interesting. So for example when I was exercising, it wasn't my best session really because I kept moving the camera around instead of really exercising 😂😂😂
I do it all with Kinemaster. It's very easy and straightforward app and I'm been using it since the beginning so I'm really good at it and fast. I would like to start using a more professional program, but I need to find a moment in my life where I have more time and I can really dive into it.
@SweetLifeLanta Wow! Well, you are really good at setting up your scenes so that you actually capture what you intended without sacrificing the feeling of spontaneity! I would really struggle to do that! You have become so good at presenting yourself, no-one would have guessed all that. One good thing , if actually holding your phone yourself is to use the pause button, which then allows you to change angle, shot size, or subject, so long as the next shot happens soon afterwards it looks as if it has been created that way by editing it, whereas it's just how you shot it in the first place. I used my Samsung S21 that one and for some little videos, including one gypsy wedding video shot whilst also shooting photos on my professional camera, but my previous phone, and HTC11 also had this feature, so your phone might have it too. Although most people just watch videos on their phones, some do watch on TV screens. I haven't checked if yours are also available in 4K?
@@ReelLifePhotos oh I'm really not sure to be honest! The thing is, the technicalities of it all are really too complicated for me to understand. It's all feeling here and intuition, but no technique if you know what i mean. So I don't even understand the meaning of 4k hahah. That's exactly the reason why I stay away from good cameras and professional editing programs because they always use difficult technical terms and I'm a real dummy in that sense. But I'm using the Samsung galaxy s23 with 1 TB memory and a really fast processor. So it can do everything I need it to do at this point.
This video is very special, Mon reminds me my dear grandfather, we always had many animals at home, even a parrot called Pepo. But the surprise left me very emotional. I lost my father a bit more that a year ago, and while grieve can drive you to so many emotional stages, like being very angry at the begging, today when I saw your father I realise how much I’m missing mine. I’m missing the connection, the talks, but what I miss the most are his hugs.

I like all of the content you put in your videos. Your filming and editing are even more impressive knowing that you use just your phone. When the videos drop I try to stop what I am doing and watch RIGHT AWAY. This one was no exception. From my NE Florida corner of the world, I find inspiration from how very creative you are in the art of living, loving, giving. One thing that has struck me over the recent months if how good Mon’s English is.
Obviously, Maayan, being brought up in The Netherlands your English is perfect. It puts to shame those of us brought up in England as we were not really encouraged to learn another language.
I’ve always loved Thailand, visited several times and had a Thai friend during his years in England whilst he was training to be a doctor.

Mon grows so many things, like banana, dragon fruit, cucumber, durian, coconut, lime, chili, lemon grass, coriander. The best question is what he doesn't grow 😂😂😂
