It is really nice of the grandpa to offer to look after the children and the animals (you have goose / geese not ducks) for a few days. But the 2 of you really deserved it.❤😮
Don’t feel guilty for taking a break, you feel rejuvenated and are more patient with the kids when you are back. My parents used to come from the the Netherlands (to the Yukon in Canada) every year spent time with all of us and gave us a break when the kids were your kids’ age 😄. I still feel fortunate and grateful ❤️

Your current situation about taking a break and holiday sounded like my family. We went to Europe for our honeymoon in May 1994 and for almost 3 decades we just concentrate on bring up our 3 children from birth until all completed university education. Last year 2022 was the 1st time we flew to Sabah from KL by plane again after 28 years. Planes were using propeller then but now Turboprop. But our family, 5 of us we did go on holiday to Thailand and Singapore using our MPV - Multi Purpose Vehicle. Now all children have grown up and we can fly once again just like the old days 🎶 Just the two of us 🎵 so enjoy your free time vacationing dearest Maayan & Mon.

Hope you guys enjoyed the vacation. My Dutch parents never even left us with a babysitter and we were always together as a family until both passed away though we moved from home (South Florida) at an early age we didn't go far and continued to holiday together till they passed. Your island is beautiful but living all my life in the heat I will never vacation anywhere hot.

That is so nice of your Father to offer you a break, but also enjoy quality time with Millie, and Manu, making memories, whilst you both enjoy a well deserved break, and an adventure. Myself, and my partner have not had a break or a holiday in thirteen years, but am happy for those who can. Mayan, you are right, people are being introduced to products, ideas that they never knew that they needed, industries praying on consumers, convincing them that they are not enough by being their natural authentic selves. We are coming to Thailand with my Thai step son at Christmas, but he will visit with his Mother and we get a three week childless vacation in Thailand. :)
It’s difficult to not feel guilty when leaving your children when taking a trip BUT don’t! It’s important to take care of yourself so you will be refreshed to care for the children….me and my husband went on a cruise for our 10 wedding anniversary and my parents watched my children, ages 3 and 1! I never worried because I knew they were in the best hands possible ❤️

AAAhhhh the way i was smiling so widely for you two, youd think it was me getting the break! Your dad is so kind I know he will bond with the kids and they will survive but im so so happy for you and Mon that you get some much needed couple time!! 8 yrs is a long time not to get a break for a few days from the kids you guys more than earned it dont feel guilty for a second! The kids also learn to appreciate you when you come back its good for them to miss you a little.

Also i love what you said about being natural and shaving. As you know I prefer to be natural but i do occasionally find myself shaving because i do like how smooth my skin feels for a bit. But then i go right back to growing the hair esp in the winter :) But if more women learn to feel beautiful in their own skin, maybe one day shaving (and makeup) will be the uncommon thing to do! Keep enlightening ppl cant wait to see where you end up going. Shana Tova!
