Hi! Just started making this and I'm super excited. One question though, are the measurements for the pillow right? When you folded it in half, yours looks like a rectangle and mine looks like a square. I double checked the measurements and I even made it half an inch bigger, but it's still not big enough. thanks.
Hi 😊 thanks for pointing that out. It really is a bit misleading. The measurements are correct but you need two of those panels. Pin them together right sides facing each other and sew them. I ended up cutting out a long piece that I‘ve folded in half but I should have had 2 pieces in the video as well!
@@OwlipopDIY gotcha! I ended up going with it so I guess I got it right! Haha. Thank you so much for posting! My little guy loves the swing! Another question, would you say canvas is the strongest fabric you can use? Or can you use another regular type of fabric? Is there any chance it’ll rip?
I've watched a few tutorials on how to make a baby Swing / Hammock and I have to say yours is the easiest to follow. great diagrams and informative without being too much :D Thanks x :)
Excelente como lo explicas y quedan las medidas anotadas. Muchas gracias!! es algo que he estado buscando hace tiempo, así es que me quedo con este video!! Saludos desde Chile!
I just completed this! My first time sewing since I was a teenager. 20 years ago. However mine doesn’t look like yours it’s gaping more at the back. Oh well, my little one loves it and super proud of myself
The only thing I'd like added to the video is an image planning the most efficient use of new fabric! As in, how to lay out the pieces so there's as little fabric waste as possible
Great project to follow - I made one for my grandson. I managed most things myself, including the drilling. However, I asked someone to saw the wooden dowels for me. I would love to share a pic or video of my swing, but don't think they can be uploaded here.
This is one of the BEST diy tutorials I've seen. Thank you VERY much for posting! I'm going to make one for my first grandchild, he is now 3 months 💙 Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Gracias .
1.5-2 yards canvas fabric 6m braided rope 7-8mm 2x 1" dowels, 1m each, cut in half Sand paper Swing attachment set or 2x 8mm cabiners 6 wooden beads that fit your rope Drill 1cm drill bit Saw + sewing supplies

Hi! Thanks for de video tutorial! I love the finish product and the video is really clear and easy to follow. I have a question, whay kind of thread did you use? Is it a cotton thread or nylon? Again...thank you! Great job! ❤
