Happy Monday! I spent allllll week last week filming and editing this video so there won’t be one out on Thursday this time. I hope you find a lot of value in this one! Anybody have any video requests for next week? Feeling pretty creatively tapped after doing and filming 10 activities in five days 😅
Thank God for this video. My boy will be 1 November 23rd and I've been trying to figure out more developmental toys to get him and just entertaining things to get and this helped SO much. I'm not ready for him to be 1.
Love the book recommendations! I have some more to offer - Color Dog by Matthew Van Fleet (there are a whole series of these), Noisy Farm by tiger tales (there are a whole series of these too), I love you mommy by igloo books, and finger puppet books for younger ages
Thanks for the great ideas! My 1.5 year old loves to play outside, but it's just too darn hot mid-afternoon. I'm so excited to try some of these ideas for when we stay inside, impatiently waiting for a cooler evening.
Such great ideas! I was wondering how helpful I'd find this since we don't do Montessori, but oh my goodness, I want to get pompoms when I go to Target!
Thank you so much!!! This was so helpful. I like the diy! It was easy to follow your voice and guidance. As a new mom, everything I have to be responsible has been mentally and emotionally overwhelming. Now that she's turning one, it's a little bit easier knowing I've kept her alive thus far. Haha. 😄 subscribed! Ty!
Thank you!!!!! My second baby is 15 months and I have been looking for 1 year old sensory activities! It's been 5 years since my oldest and I've forgotten so much. I know he will love these activities!
Thank you Megan for all your great videos. I have a 16 month old so hard to keep him busy. I look at the link for the table from ikea but it’s the same one from the stacking toy not sure if you double posted. Thank you again for your great advice👍😍
Aaww Can't believe how small rowan is here ! So cute! Thank you for the ideas 😊😊 my baby is turning 1 at the end of the month and I am definitely in need for a few new ideas 😊 I am impressed that you rotate toys once a week. Wow! I cannot be bothered and only do it once a month 😂😂
I’d love to hear more toy recommendations that you can get from stores or Amazon. Love every looks so good and fun but with a tighter budget almost $150 is a little too expensive
I totally get that. $120 is a lot of money! I wish they had smaller kits for $40 per month so you could just get a few of the toys. We don’t usually buy any one-off toys because I can’t often find ones that I love developmentally in stores and boutiques are so expensive but I think Lovevery has a collection with Target that’s more affordable! The items in the toddler collection are anywhere from $13-$25. We don’t have any of them but I’ve loved all the toys we’ve gotten in their kits and I’m sure these are just as great!
Omg yes I love those stand up kitchen helper things! I've never used one, but they look so fun for the kids! 🤩 And then you don't have to kill your arms anytime they want to help you in the kitchen 😂🙏🏽
Great video! I'm definitly going to save these ideas for when my baby reaches Rowan's age! Have you heard of the nugget play couch? It looks awesome for open ended play.
We got the IKEA playkitchen for our son when he was 11months old, which was way earlier than planned, but someone was selling it really cheep with a bunch of other kitchen toys, so we jumped at it and didn't find a reason to hide it from him. And he already loved it then! Obviously he doesn't do 'cooking-pretend-play' yet (he is 14months now) but he loves putting things in the cubboards and taking them out, looking trough the 'oven' glass and turning on the stovetops :D A great thing is that it came with leg-blocks that can make it higher as he grows. We've hidden most of the food-toys, for a later gift, but I can definitely recommend the kitchen from 1 year on! He also got Boobles blocks for his birthday which we use for climbing and he LOVES them! Wish we could get a Pikler Triangle but we simply don't have the space. But we're giving our son a learning tower for Christmas, I think thats an essential piece now :D
My daughter taught me about cloud dough when she was probably 12 or 13 years old... Cloud dough and slime like activities will grow with kiddos... Especially girls for some reason... We have had so many interesting adventures with slime over the years .... Some more fun than others lol... She is 15 now... I think we just stopped buying slime and dough supplies for her maybe a year or so ago... She has better things to do now I guess lol
