This was interesting. I have donde this many times, but it's weird, my RX470D from XFX, did work perfectly for a around a whole year... then, suddenly, really suddenly, the temps went as high that i could not be able again to use furmark because always failed... since then i did make undervolt and manage diferent kind of disipation curves in order to control the temps, but in addition i am forced to use riva tuner to block fps, because even with undervolt, if anygame exceeds 60fps, the temperatures again go higher... this week i'll try to patch the original BIOS, just in case that my card don't have the original one, and let's see if it works... Nice video, and just in case, i did try to change the thermal pad, and it's not the 1mm.. it should be a bit wide, but i can't find any cheap one of 2mm in order to test. Best wishes!!
well done; i see on google that some other guys who have this weird behaviour, with high temps, but, i think this happend because electronic wear, caps, solders etc and in the end you just have to let it go to the bin and replace with something newer videocard . Thermal pads there are 1,5mm also...

Hi. Yes, you can replace, or replace the whole connector, or replace with another mother-father connector, or you can solder wire directly on board. Good luck.
@@matejkoo3075 if they are not shreddered, yes. Put a little amount of thermal paste only on one side. In this way, you let them alone, original pads where remain stickit, on mainboard or on metal radiator, to prevent rip off any other pads.
do like i do in video, clean very good, if metalic radiator is very dusty, even wash it(and then dry perfectly), and use some very good thermal paste, like Arctic MX-4

salut; da, sunt Român; nu stiu de chestia respectiva, stiu ca xfx este un producator bun, nu entry level; insa, daca sunt multi care se plang, probabil asa si este; vezi ca rx570 au fost folosite maxim in minat; sfatul meu e sa mai strangi ceva bani, mai astepti 1-3 luni pana mai aduni si sa iti iei ceva mai nou ca chip video

@@DaneluRepairs dada am sursa de 550w cablul 6+2,dar dupa ce conectez placa totul ar trebui sa mearga bine,gen pe ecran ar trebui sa am imagine,nu mai trebuie sa fac nimic,nu?(e primul meu pc nu cunosc asa multe)
@@sirolf7762 da, merge din prima. Sa nu uiți sa muti cablul hdmi din placa de baza în noua placa video. Și driver in Windows, ori pui tu, ori lași Windows Updates pornit și își face Windows ul update la driverul video, singur.

there should be a bios switch near the power connector get that bios then reflash it to the broken bios,
I have the same card. When I try it on Furmark, the temperature rises to 89. Could it be that the thermal paste has dried?
Furmark is a killer videocard app, it's stressing way too much.
But, if your thermal paste has already more than 2 years, it's time to replace it.

99% sure is 1mm thickness

@@DaneluRepairs Rx 570 and 470 are coming same body so sizes change of that both GPUs?
@@alirazasolangi9001 if you ask for thermal pads, buy enough to be sure. But on gpu you have to put thermal paste, not pads.
