When I was just a kid,I and my folks attended his dad’s church in Kansas City, Kansas one particular Sunday, a young Tommy was preaching, the convicting power of the Holly Spirit was so strong, he gave an alter call and I went forward to accept Christ as my savior.
That is an amazing story. I used to go see Johnny and June's graves in Hendersonville. I was always impressed by the scriptures on their site. But, I was even more impressed that he and June gave two plots in the Carter family area to Joe Maphis qnd his wife. He was one of the best guitarists ever that struggles later in life financially and Johnny took care of those plots for them. The Carter family area at the Cemetery is an amazing stop if you love music and history.
Before I was saved... I sat right behind Johnny Cash in Newburg NY armory. and. enjoyed their music (2 were with him). I actually got saved = Born Again .....about 14 years later and have prayed for Johnny [and June too] through the years (now about 60 ? years ago) and was. so so SO thrilled to learn they had indeed gotten saved ! He was an amazing artist !. My fiancé introduced me to his music. (city girl = Rock & Roll !) and my guitarist husband's very favorite singer ! [ His family were farmers in the mountains and all of them loved Johnny Cash. = don't know anyone who didn't love him!]. Now John can see his Savior's face always. and. forever. ~. I have trouble being patient and look forward to Thanking Jesus face to face and forever and ever.
Dr. David Jeremiah is One of the Most Respected & Loved Men of The Faith!!! I Follow him wherever I can!! I know he’s coming from a Godly Biblical Perspective!! I Trust his teachings & judgements!!
