As someone who is homeless and also living in their truck I am gaining alot of tips and tricks from your videos so a big thankyou to you Nathan.
Great job finding a Canopy for Rusty! Once you get those leaks on the windows sealed, you could get your bed on one side with your food/storage underneath. & a countertop on the other side with room for your Fridge & PowerStation. You gotta lot of room in their. You could also Save some Money & go around Town Grab some Pallets from Behind the Stores & build your bed frame & countertop with that for Free.
Canopy looks great, can’t wait to see you turn it into a living area. 👍🏻

Move tubs inside and put living area in back. More room maybe. Lots more room to move about
That is great you have that you can make that into your sleeping area. Also put your bed back there because I know you know how to do things like that so that would be better for you sleeping and that.
Flex tape will fix it Butyl tape underneath between the camper and the bed

Maybe you can Use the containers as a base for a bed/cot inside your cap?

That transmission fix stuff will renew old fluid that has a tendency to shudder once hot. Don’t forget to check both front and rear differentials and the Transfer case. Preferably replace the fluids. Darn , hopefully you can fix that lap top. I fixed on years ago, the wife had paid a repair shop to replace the fans.. but got it back and it smelled like WD40.. they didn’t replace anything.. and changed her 150$.. I had her order 2 new fans was 75$.. I took it all apart.. was a pain in the butt.. but got it done.. and it still works perfect still 6 years later.. lol

Now that you got your camper top, put your solar panels on top of the cap and truck for extra power.
They have these flexible solar panels I think you can get up to 160 watts each. They have a super sticky adhesive on the back. So no need to drill holes into the roof. Just a thought.

You have to think if the laptop went down that easy it could have stopped working after you had a ton of work on it. Take it to a shop and they'll get it running. I can hear the frustration in your voice. You did nothing wrong I'd a done the same thing. So glad to hear about the job. Once they see how hard you work and how smart you are you'll be in huge demand. I can even see on your face you are feeling a little better. Keep digging brother. BTW that camper top is great! The cover looks amazing why don't you put bed in back when you sorted it be more comfortable glad you got some work keep up the good work hopefully patches be with you soon
I like your new camper shell it’s a good design if I were you I would just throw the mattress in the back moved the Bins to one side and sleep back there regardless you can stretch out
Nate, long time fan, first time commenter. If you get the chance, look into getting a thinkpad. I know you have to take what you can get, but you can get an extremely powerful thinkpad thats a few years old for about the price of a new crappy PC. A T480s with an i7 and 16gb of ram is around $250 bucks and is gonna be more powerful that what you have going on now. Again, I understand your situation, and it might take some time to save the money, but thinkpads are built to last and for the price you really can't beat them. Wish you the best man.

Congrats on the canopy that is awesome. Watching the video when you open up the back hatch and seen all the space I had an idea for you if you haven't thought of it already. You can take your two containers pick a side. Stack them on top of the other two containers and it leaves you plenty of room to put a bed in. That way you can stretch out properly and be more comfortable while sleeping. Can just be a temporary day-by-day use rolling out a Matt at night and folded up during the day.

INSTEAD OF MINI SLEDGE HANNER TAILGATE FIX consider letting your truck help herself, it's quiet and safe won't break your wrist etc..i had same problem I just backed my truck up to brick wall and used my horsepower in reverse gear to push it back inboard of your payload area. Hope this helps you may need a stump or maybe that hammer to place between truck and brick wall so you may need extra hands..love your channel My Friend! I got a 91 700R4 transmission that needs to be rebuilt but it’s yours if you want it.

Have you tried changing the filter in the transmission. I noticed that when transmission sit for a while they need the filter and oil changed I have done a couple 700R and L80E & L60E. And got pretty lucky the filters were nasty and the oil was gummy had a little bit of water in it

Hello Nathan I’m happy for you. I’m glad you got the camper. Top things are slowly working out for you. I’m glad you got a job all the best with that you know you made the right decision by not taking up new offers for going and staying with somebody especially after the experience you had at the ranch I know sometimes folks mean well, but you don’t want to put yourself in another precarious situation trust me, I know people mean well but sometimes they change up on you without you even see it coming even if you have to stay in your camper van for a while at least it your own roof over your head and be careful with roommates cause that’s not always a good decision. I lived with one and trust me. I was glad when it was time for me to leave but anyway all the best to you when I get a chance in the next few weeks, I will send you a donation to help you out, all the best to you bud.
