Very Concerned about your 12 Volt Socket Install! You can not expect to run the 12 Volt Socket with any significant load along with the already loaded and fused circuit (sounds like your trailer brake controller) that you tied into. You’ll either blow through fuses or heat your wiring and melt thing potentially…. A 12 volt Socket like that should have it’s own fused circuit from a previously unused fuse slot, or a fused cable from your battery, but wire sized appropriately for at least a 10Amp constant draw, which should be a 12 to 15 amp fuse to protect…. If you have any questions as to what I’m trying to convey please let me know! TRYING TO HELP avoid issues for you in the future….
