I recently bought the 75”-85”inch one for my 70”inch tv and it covered it perfectly I do recommend sizing up and just hold down the left over cable

I have the same problem i had to use a thick piece of plastic using double sided sticky pads just to give some more area to stick camera on, been working spoton

@geeky stuff, did you have an issue with sticking the camera on, I have a very thin OLED tv and there’s no part for the large sticky pad of the camera to stick to
What quality is this camera? Got this as a gift. But concerned about govee having access to seeing the inside of my house. Is it just a light sensor or is it like a 1080 type of camera?

Can you connect more than one strip light source?
So will this work on a 65in Samsung curved tv. Just wondering if the curves will affect camera at all.

Hi, so I just got these in today and took your recommendation of plugging them in before installing. But mine didn’t light up which I found to be weird considering the little blue light on the camera was blinking, just wanted your thoughts and what you think the problem could be. Thanks !

Hi, do you know if there is any difference between this product and Goveee DreamView T1 TV backlight?
Only I ordered the DreamView directly from Govee, but when it arrived it said Immersion on the box.
They are completely the same . If you want the best one it's the gaming box . It's about 200 But does way better than the camera lights. I have both the regular and the drain here and they are nothing compared to the gaming. The gaming box actually gets all the colors on the screen right exactly where they are, unlike the camera.
I wasted money on these because they did not meet my expectations that I wanted for my lights . But like I said the gaming box is what you want . . The price for these are not what they should be. I'd pay 60 for these , but the gaming I'll pay 300 cause they are wayyyyyyyy better .
I bought the TaoX ones first but they have audio issues where they don’t really let my tv play audio for the longest time while they’re on and off they’re off I can’t switch the audio source back to tv workout unplugging them which is a real hassle, how does the govee kit handle audio?
Is there anyway I can fit this on a 45’ inch tv like if I move the light strips?😊

Does it set and save your settings and turns off and on automatically when your tv is turned off and on? Or do i have to turn on the tv and govee separately and configure the settings i want each time i turn on the tv/govee?

I dont lile how the camera sits on top of the TV. I've seen people connect them to bottom of the tv. I have tv on wall 6 inch above the tv and was wondering if I can sit the camera on the tv unit?
not sure if i missed it, are you able to turn it on and off with a remote or its exclsuively the app where you can power it on and off
The controller which I put on the back of the TV has an on and off switch.
I had a similar but far superior product called Dream Screen for a long time. Looks like they went out of business which is sad. It didn’t use a camera and was perfectly accurate. Oh well maybe another will come along again.
question bro 2:24. is there a indication in the strips on which side of the tv it is supposed to be stuck on? or you can just put them randomly and they will still work the same?
It doesn't really matter where. They'll work whatever. Always best to start in a corner then work it round though.
Hi there, I've been trying to set up the govee immersion for days but cannot figure out how to set up for DreamView. The camera won't calibrate.
It's on a 2ghz router, all wired up correctly, lights work fine but i really wanted this gadget for the DreamView, so i can enhance movie viewing.
If it's not to much trouble, could you please talk me through your set up on the app.
Also, the app has uploaded the latest firmware.

Only question I have, how do you get it to turn off with the TV? When I turn my tv off the LEDs remain on. Do I have to manually turn it off in the app every time?
I had trouble calibrating using those orange tabs. There was too much reflection. I found the BEST way to calibrate. Find on UA-cam "white screen". There's a very long video of white screen. Play the video and whole screen is white. You can see exactly where your calibration lines should go.
Thanks for this tip! I'm considering buying this kit. I already have their bars which I currently adjust manually more like an ambient indirect light rather than something that responds to the screen but I'm drawn to the LED strips. Anyway, everything is fine and I'm okay with sticking stuff to the back of the TV but I abhor the idea of sticking anything to the front!
@@CrazyBunnyGuy I have the bars on my TV upstairs and the strips on my TV downstairs. The bars work good but the strips are definitely better. More immersive!

Hello I just started getting into led lights
And found out yesterday that Immersion tv led lights are a thing.
My tv is a 49in tcl roku tv.
Do you think I’ll have an issue with set up? (I think it’s kind of foolish that this brand doesn’t make smaller led lights)
I’m also curious of this as well
I’ve set up the 2 camera version and tested movies like Blade Runner 2049, Tenet, Dune and Interstellar on 65” C2 and it’s just not doing it for me. Sometimes it seems to output quite accurately and adds immersion - other times it looks way off and seems more a distraction. Even in this video if you pause at 7:32 - why is it displaying orange in the upper corners when it’s clearly blue/white? I have Hue+ with 3 light bars for my computer, wanted a cheaper option for my TV and I wasn’t necessarily expecting the same quality but I guess it’s relative to its much lower price. Not sure if I’m gonna keep it. It literally sometimes seems like I just have a light strip doing its own thing while I’m trying to enjoy a 4K UHD Blu-ray and at that point I’d rather focus on the TV.

I like this unit for the price. But the Phillips kit has corner and midline mounting brackets for the light strips which look to be valuable. You might be able to 3D-print similar brackets for the goveee.
The Phillips strip is a nightmare to install on those brackets and way over priced; I just sent it back.
@@fadedlogic1 Exactly what is the issue with the installation? is it the mounting of the brackets or that the led strips don't stay attached? Are the instructions not well written or clear?
@@PWingert1966 the light strip is quite difficult to place into the grooves, at least for me. After placing it in the top groove, installing it in corner groove would cause it to fall out of the previous groove and half the strip stopped working. I also found out the hdmi sync box is not 2.1 compliant and does not pass along a 120hz signal. 5 times the cost, increased points of failure, and not nearly as easy to install as the Govee.

Phone doesn't need to be connected.
can you connect other led bulbs/strip or you are limited to the one connected to the tv?

I just ordered them few days ago and they came in today. I have a 55' would there be any left over LED strips?
Nope there won't. It's all one strip and you can't cut these ones either. Just one length.

With the heat generated from the TV, does the adhesive come off overtime?
If it does you could just use Velcro stickies to stick it back on.

I dont get. Is the led strip longer and you cut some of it? Because if this is 55" tv and led is perfectly around tv then for 65" you wont cover all the tv back?
Nope you can't cut this unfortunately. The 65" it will fit perfectly all the way round. Should do anyway.

Quick question, since I’m an Apple guy and this doesn’t have Siri support, will this turn on automatically if I connect the power to a Siri enabled smart plug? Basically does it turn on as soon as it gets power or do you have to manually turn it on every time?
Hi Bob! In the app you can set timers to turn on or off. Otherwise you have to do it manually. You could get a smart plug too though. I set timers in the app for mine. 👍 On and off timers.

Just for govee app only.
Do you have to install the led strips in any order? How does it know the orientation and where to display color from the camera?
Yea the camera does all the work mate. It captures colour from the TV and sends it to the LEDs. It doesn't matter which way you install it

Yep, works on my curved TV fine.
Hm my TV stand is in the center and bulky. Not sure how I'm going to install the bottom strip. I'm afraid if I go above the stand the lighting will be weird and if I just stick them over it I'll have similar problems.
I have an lg g2 series for ps5 and I installed govee. It’s ok and nice but is not as accurate as a my main tv for movies etc Phillips which works fantastic if you add hue and add other lights of your house.

My TV is about 60 to 90cm away from the wall behind it, will the LEDs colour stretch all the way to the back wall? Are the colours quite strong?
The colours are strong if you turn up brightness and saturation. You will definitely see an effect on your wall, but the closer the better really.

My TV is 77" so I purchased the kit for 75-85 inch TVs.
Can I simply loop the excess evenly at the corners or do I cut off the extra length as is done with some other brands? Govee answered someone on Amazon who asked by saying you should never cut the lightstrip. Thanks in advance!
Hello - Yea, DONT cut these one. You can simply fold the excess in the corners just like I did on my installation. Hope this helps.

I have a 70' tv, i honestly thought i had a 75' tv, so i got the 75-85 one, its too long on each corner, about 4 inches too long on each corner. Stupid me. So i was just about to order those clips so i could cut it down so it would fit perfectly, but i was reading the questions on the Amazon app and on the answers it says no you cannot cut these, but one answer says you can, so can you cut these and use the clips?
Nope, you cant cut these mate. You can try and fold them and stick on TV.
Noticed your TV is not smooth plastic. Looks like samsung with rough surface ridges. Do the LED lights stick properly ?

What these reviewers and Govee do not tell you, is that it takes 21ft of LED strip to cover an 85"inch TV from corner to corner, they sell and advertise a set of immersion lights for TV from 75-85" but that kit only comes with 16.5 ft of LED strips, that does lot cover your 85" inch TV, and the corners will be awfully dark.

Nope, but you can set a timer for them to come on and turn off. Or just do it manually.

Can we use govee immersion 55-65 RGBIC on a 24 inch monitor?
Nope, it would be too long. You can't cut this type of either. So it's one size.
Obviously this would work best against a flat wall, but our TV and stand have to be at a 30-45 degrees.
Any thoughts on how well this will work when not very close to the back wall?? (I know it's not ideal)

Installation issue-app never asks me about connecting to wifi and can’t get to camera installation. Followed instructions and have a bright blue light on camera, but will not initialize. Everything I read says to make sure you do not skip the wifi connection portion but it never asks for it. When I try to go to wifi settings it just goes straight to initializing camera which fails. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the device on the app and deleting and reinstalling the entire app on two different phones that are connected to wifi. Any ideas??

Yes it would technically work, but these are made to fit 55" - 65" TV's, so it would work but you'd have to route the lights round your TV and hide any slack you have left. The roll of lights are too long really, but you could make it fit if you play around with it.

“How long is power cable?”
Everything mounts to the back of the tv.
-LED power cord is 2.5-2.95 ft and goes straight To the back of the TV,
-Camera cord is short just like the led power cord (goes to the control box stuck to back of tv.)
-Main power cord goes to 12V plug 3.1-3.25FT.
If you are on a entertainment center (power strip is built into the back of stand, every thing is perfect being short.)
But to answer your question Main power cord to the control box- to the 12V plug is about 3.25-3.5 ft.
