Application of the lights on the 42 inch tv is definitely possible. Make a few loops of the light strips in each side section of about 2 inches in diameter. This way, the sides stay on the correct side of the panel and correspond to the light sensor, and you will also have enough room to use all of the strip light. You have to be precise, use clips, and tuck the lights in a way that makes them not stick out but it is possible. You got this
I agree it is possible to do… But I honestly think it’s better to just get the flo pro bars from govee with camera and attach it to the back of the monitor. That’s what I ended up doing on my 43 inch. Will have a video of the flow pro bars on my channel soon.

Yes this system works with a fire stick. This kit uses a camera to get the colors on screen to mimic the colors on the LEDs. This is compatible with any content you display on screen.

Some people found the camera works better with a cellphone ND filter. I seen a few videos of people trying it out and it can be better but it’s a DIY thing so won’t look as clean attached to the camera

Great vid, wish I’d have seen it before buying. Any hacks for putting this camera on an OLED Screen that’s only 2-3mm deep? Right now I’ve stuck one of the orange pads on the back of the tv the the camera is delicately resting on it but it won’t hang on forever!
If you attach the 3M sticky on the camera from its top and front and add the orange block to help the TV be a little thicker….my tV is thin too so I had to add the orange foam to assist the camera to hang on too. It’s been up for almost 6 months and it has not moved so keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏽 Think this is the only way lol
Great video. I have Samsung and use Bixby/Smart Things in my house. Did I see that you can turn the lights on and off through the app? I don't want to purchase an Alexa based system if I don't have to and I don't want to have to reach behind the TV every night to turn the lights on and off via the control module. Is this something I can do via the app?
Hey Takesha. Yes that is correct. You can control on and off functions and so much more from the govee app. @ 6:58 I show a demonstration of the app features and I show how you can turn on and off from the app. You can also set a schedule to come on and off if you prefer that. I love the Alexa cuz I can tell it thru voice what to do faster instead of pulling out my phone and app etc.. I hope this is helpful

yes and no. Govee LED strips power supply are designed for it's original length of strips. Lets say you had a 16 ft LED strip. I think it is a bad idea to now make it a 64 foot LED strip. if that makes since lol But yes you can reuse
Ahah right!!! These are the Las test immersion kit but they now make a kit with the strip and light bars that work off of one camera mounted to change colors to what’s on the tv.
Great question. The answer is yes. The camera has 3m sticky on both the top and side parts. The camera has a lip design where the 3 M contacts the front of the tv and the top (hop that makes sense lol) my tv I installed on is thin too so I ended up adding a cut piece of orange foam from the kit used for calibration to make the top point thicker…. But even with the front 3m it is sticky enough to hold on. Hope this helps
You can cut but won’t be able to reuse the cut LEDs easily. The only problem with cutting is the segments in color mode would be off. You can’t tell this led strip how many LEDs it is. Besides that slight inconvenience you can cut. For a smaller TV version, they do make flow pro bars with immersion camera or maybe even the G1 pro gaming lighting kit which is a LED strip around the TV and 2 upgraded light bars.
@@toddmcfarlane8327 it should be ight. You can always not cut them and continue to go around the tv but it’ll throw off the immersion a little bit so there’s options. Like I should on this video trying to use this kit on a 42 inch tv.

If you don’t want the lights to sync with what’s on tv you you can get Govee RGB LED TV Backlights this kit is like 20 bucks and will give your tv the colors your looking for. It can only be a single color at a time.
Naw it doesn’t fit behind the 43 inch. I installed on a 65 inch. For a 43 inch you’ll have to get the flow pro bars from govee. I have those setup on the 43 now and will be dropping a video soon
Mines does not work that well and I have the T2 camera which is suppose to be the upgrade. If i have it on the “all” option where its just one main color for it all. When I do “part” is when it gets crazy. Wish i could attach pictures but on the right side of the screen it could be a blue ocean and the light is red. I know about the blues to red calibration but wouldn’t make that big of a difference. I did learn that it seems it picks up stuff even right right of the tv like a color oof a box or if i had a yellow light to the right of the Tv, then the TV light might show some yellow on that side. Be nice to shows pictures but hp[efully someone understands what im talking about/ going through. Camera is 90 degrees to screen like it says too. I know that was long but PLEASE if anyone can help me/ recalibrate with the sticky orange boxes

Honestly I bought the dream view t1 kit and installed it and it doesn’t sync with the tv colors whatsoever. Just mainly purple and red lights at all times
dont even bother sticking the foam blocks to the tv if you have the calibration video up. Also, I found a calibration video that has a black screen instead of white so the camera is getting washed out with the bright screen.
Yea it does stick out a good amount. On my tv it’s wall mounted and damn near up to the ceiling so I don’t notice the camera that much but I agree, if this setup was on a stand at eye level it could be distracting. You can also bottom mount which may look a little more discreet. But yea if they can get it smaller would be almost perfect

It’s possible but janky. There is a better solution for a 43 inch tv. I just added the Govee G1 Pro to my console 43 inch setup and it’s the perfect fit! Dropping a video a few days of a full review and details

That’s great to hear James. It’s a very easy process to hook govee lights up because they use Bluetooth and WiFi. It’s great because if for some reason your lights disconnect from WiFi you can still use all the app features thru Bluetooth. Govee ftw 🙌🏾
Mode > Diy > click plus icon at bottom > click yellow plus button top left corner > name it effect and start to customization process then save. @ 12:00 in this video I go over how to create a Diy mode.
Try seeing if the firmware is updated, and make sure you plug everything in the right slots on the controller. There is a small reset button you can press and hold on the controller; give that a try as well.
I would say at least 6 inches so the lights bounce off of the wall and spread the colors good. The further from the wall the better but as long as it’s at least a few inches you will see the color lights. Hope that’s helpful.
you ever forget the size of your tv then realize its only a 50 when putting mounting the lights lol.... i gotta figure out the best way to finesse this without making it look sloppy, for when people sit more to the side
dang! yeah I tried on a 43 inch and it was not Happening!!! But this is meant for a 55-65 so you should be able to Finesse it maybe try and center the bottom and wrap around the corners if needed and mount the sides the same on the inner part of the longer ones if that makes sense!! Yea I haven’t really messed around with the saturation once I sat to 0 but can definitely see what you mean. Good they have it to where it can be changed to dial in good settings depending on preference
You can calibrate the camera with the lights on. However, when in use if you have other lights on shining on the the tv and is being reflected it can cause the colors to be less accurate…hope that makes sense lol

Nope. You can use this with Bluetooth Only without even connecting WiFi to still use all the features. WiFi gives you the ability to control the lights with Alexa or google assistance plus control from anywhere. With Bluetooth you will need to be in range to control the lights. Hope that makes sense.
No. This kit is meant for 55-65 inch TVs. For a 32 inch you would need the flow pro bars plus which is the bars with a camera. Works the same but fits in smaller size TVs.
A little ways from the edges to get the best experience. I believe I showed a clip on how I had it installed with the white included pieces. Also keep in mind you will want to leave some room for the camera as well

I just checked and they all work. Are you outside the US? It’s unavailable some place so the govee link would be your best bet plus you can save 10% on your purchases
The immersion LED strip would be too long to fit in your tv. It’s compatible with 55-65 inches due to size of strip. So I’d measure the tv sides…in this video I mentioned the size of the strip and showed it not fitting on my 43 inch. If you’re okay with the strip bending around it could work but you’re better off getting the flow pro plus bars which has the camera where it can mimic the screen colors.
This strip LED sections are 120cm top and bottom & 70cm for left and right sides..you can make it work by sliding the top and bottom along the sides a little if you really wanted but your TV is a little to small to fit perfectly.

@@asryan7582 oh I see. I put the strip box and camera on with removing the tv because I didn’t want to Take the tv down from the wall mount either so it’s possible. As long as you have space to do it. If you can’t put the strip on then you will have to take it down. Hope this makes sense. The tv mount I have can be pulled forward and backwards if the mount you have is the mount that don’t move you will likely need to take the tv down.

Like I should on this video trying to use this kit on a 42 inch tv.
Is there anyway to just set it for a single stationary color glow? Or would it be a better option to get a regular light strip from Govee and place it on the tv? Thanks for the help!
If you don’t want the lights to sync with what’s on tv you you can get Govee RGB LED TV Backlights this kit is like 20 bucks and will give your tv the colors your looking for. It can only be a single color at a time.
Matter of fact get this one amzn.to/3J3cO4n it has multiple colors all on one strip if needed avs can do solid colors as well.

Yes that’s correct. I have them setup on my 43 inch and works good. As I showed in the video the led strip don’t fit around the TV

Naw it doesn’t fit behind the 43 inch. I installed on a 65 inch. For a 43 inch you’ll have to get the flow pro bars from govee. I have those setup on the 43 now and will be dropping a video soon

Would you reccomend it for gaming monitor?
These are only compatible with TVs 55-75. If your monitor display is smaller you will need the flow pro bars with camera to achieve the same effect.

Mines does not work that well and I have the T2 camera which is suppose to be the upgrade. If i have it on the “all” option where its just one main color for it all. When I do “part” is when it gets crazy. Wish i could attach pictures but on the right side of the screen it could be a blue ocean and the light is red. I know about the blues to red calibration but wouldn’t make that big of a difference. I did learn that it seems it picks up stuff even right right of the tv like a color oof a box or if i had a yellow light to the right of the Tv, then the TV light might show some yellow on that side. Be nice to shows pictures but hp[efully someone understands what im talking about/ going through. Camera is 90 degrees to screen like it says too. I know that was long but PLEASE if anyone can help me/ recalibrate with the sticky orange boxes

No idea where they are based out of cause they only respond at 4am lol. I’m thinking of switching to Philips Hue but their TV kit is just so expensive. And i wanna say if you game, my PS5 wont operate like its suppose to when plugged into the box. But love your videos and setup. Keep it up

Anyone know why my back-light is one solid colour, it picks the most dominate colour on screen instead of multiple colours around the screen

It’s a 58 inch roku TV from Walmart
Honestly I bought the dream view t1 kit and installed it and it doesn’t sync with the tv colors whatsoever. Just mainly purple and red lights at all times
try recalibrating the camera. Make sure other lights don’t reflect off of the tv getting picked up on the camera. Play with the white balance as well
dont even bother sticking the foam blocks to the tv if you have the calibration video up. Also, I found a calibration video that has a black screen instead of white so the camera is getting washed out with the bright screen.
Yea exactly. No need to stick the foams on of your have the video. The orange blocks represent anchor points to match the circles when calibrating.

Yea it does stick out a good amount. On my tv it’s wall mounted and damn near up to the ceiling so I don’t notice the camera that much but I agree, if this setup was on a stand at eye level it could be distracting. You can also bottom mount which may look a little more discreet. But yea if they can get it smaller would be almost perfect
Do you have a way to hide the camera because imo it looks ugly & try to find ways to hide this camera.

It’s possible but janky. There is a better solution for a 43 inch tv. I just added the Govee G1 Pro to my console 43 inch setup and it’s the perfect fit! Dropping a video a few days of a full review and details
But basically mount everything centered to the TV and wrap the corners in on all corners

I've been debating on the govee and the neo, after your (excellent and very informative review) I ordered it looks amazing and I shouldn't have any issues Installing it or using functions thank you for reviewing this
That’s great to hear James. It’s a very easy process to hook govee lights up because they use Bluetooth and WiFi. It’s great because if for some reason your lights disconnect from WiFi you can still use all the app features thru Bluetooth. Govee ftw 🙌🏾
How do you add diy mine allows me to create a name but no effects or anything really
Mode > Diy > click plus icon at bottom > click yellow plus button top left corner > name it effect and start to customization process then save. @ 12:00 in this video I go over how to create a Diy mode.

Try seeing if the firmware is updated, and make sure you plug everything in the right slots on the controller. There is a small reset button you can press and hold on the controller; give that a try as well.

How far should the TV be from the wall
I would say at least 6 inches so the lights bounce off of the wall and spread the colors good. The further from the wall the better but as long as it’s at least a few inches you will see the color lights. Hope that’s helpful.

you ever forget the size of your tv then realize its only a 50 when putting mounting the lights lol.... i gotta figure out the best way to finesse this without making it look sloppy, for when people sit more to the side
dang! yeah I tried on a 43 inch and it was not Happening!!! But this is meant for a 55-65 so you should be able to Finesse it maybe try and center the bottom and wrap around the corners if needed and mount the sides the same on the inner part of the longer ones if that makes sense!! I hope it works out with out looking ghetto 😀😬💯

Yea I haven’t really messed around with the saturation once I sat to 0 but can definitely see what you mean. Good they have it to where it can be changed to dial in good settings depending on preference
I can’t get it to match my screen color please provide settings I want the colors that are on my tv
Settings > calibration > Match the dots > then select “movie mode”

Nope. The video calibration shows where the orange sticky pieces go on screen which eliminates the need to use of them.

Did you do the caméra setup with light un the room ? Or in dark room ?
You can calibrate the camera with the lights on. However, when in use if you have other lights on shining on the the tv and is being reflected it can cause the colors to be less accurate…hope that makes sense lol
@@WilliamNevius seems like the only way my video tv light works correctly is when i have lights on. When i turn all the lights off in the room its turns solid blue and doesnt change color to match the screen. Any suggestion?
Does it need to be connected to wifi all the time
Nope. You can use this with Bluetooth Only without even connecting WiFi to still use all the features. WiFi gives you the ability to control the lights with Alexa or google assistance plus control from anywhere. With Bluetooth you will need to be in range to control the lights. Hope that makes sense.
Will my 32in tv work or nah?
No. This kit is meant for 55-65 inch TVs. For a 32 inch you would need the flow pro bars plus which is the bars with a camera. Works the same but fits in smaller size TVs.

No. The lighting actually reflects better and bounces off of the walls the more space you have between the tv and wall..

A little ways from the edges to get the best experience. I believe I showed a clip on how I had it installed with the white included pieces.
Also keep in mind you will want to leave some room for the camera as well

The immersion LED strip would be too long to fit in your tv. It’s compatible with 55-65 inches due to size of strip. So I’d measure the tv sides…in this video I mentioned the size of the strip and showed it not fitting on my 43 inch. If you’re okay with the strip bending around it could work but you’re better off getting the flow pro plus bars which has the camera where it can mimic the screen colors.

This strip LED sections are 120cm top and bottom & 70cm for left and right sides..you can make it work by sliding the top and bottom along the sides a little if you really wanted but your TV is a little to small to fit perfectly.

@@asryan7582 oh I see. I put the strip box and camera on with removing the tv because I didn’t want to Take the tv down from the wall mount either so it’s possible. As long as you have space to do it. If you can’t put the strip on then you will have to take it down. Hope this makes sense. The tv mount I have can be pulled forward and backwards if the mount you have is the mount that don’t move you will likely need to take the tv down.
