      Hi emma, your videos are so helpful. I have little concern about my baby that she is 10 months old, and she stand in her toes and also try to walk with pusher on toes, is it normal or i need to consult with doctor? I hope you will reply me. Thanks for your useful videos.

    Just a reminder to parents that although these items are great recommendations, they're still not necessary!
    I grew up in a poorer family that DID have toys but not any of these activities (except a ball!) or other item with promised benefits. My siblings and I all hit our milestones on track or early (I started walking at 8 months).
    Out of ease and frugality, my parents let us play on the floor, at the park, at jungle gyms - all free. My Mom was a HUGE fan of Chuck E. Cheese and McDonald's for their free play places - we would stay there for HOURS. Free water and bathrooms, cheap food at McD (though I wouldn't suggest THAT part now), endless play and social interactions.
    All to say, you're good.all extra things are extra. If you're watching these kinds of videos, you're clearly a parent who cares, who is/will be attentive, and will spend time with your Babies. Those go way further toward your Babies' growth and development than most any toy.

    Now that my baby is 14months, I've realised that A LOT of the toys out there which are supposedly 'perfect' for the development of our babies are actually just marketing jargon and my baby does not really need it! However, If I had to recommend one I would put my money in a push walker! She is so used to pushing it now that she pushes everything she can find in the same way and walks around the house with it....chair...footstool...even a box! 😀It helps to learn to walk for sure! Thank you Emma I love love love your videos! 💜

      I totally agree. I got my little one a little wooden push walker, now at 16 months she still uses it as seat, a trolley, a stepping stool and has started to make it her toys pretend pushchair.
      It's had more use than anything and still played with regularly.

      There's some nice cheap walkers on Amazon - we have a Pitpat and Radioflyer. The downside of the Pitpat is that it's not heavy enough for baby to pull themselves up with it, but the positive is that it's cheap, really easy to turn once they're able to get up themselves, and comes with a set of blocks! A square laundry basket is an awesome walker too!

      I can't afford new toys either but i get them from charity/second hand shops or fb marketplace. • @EmmaHubbard
      @EmmaHubbard  Рік тому +3

      I think you may be confusing baby walkers and push walkers.
      Baby walkers, where the baby stands in the centre of them with a slung seat between their legs, are dangerous and I don’t ever recommend them.
      Push walkers, where the baby stands behind them and pushes them along (like the one in the thumbnail of this video) are great and are what I recommend
      I hope that helps clarify 😀

    • @EmmaHubbard
      @EmmaHubbard  Рік тому +1

      Hi! Sorry if I was confusing. You are right I don't recommend using baby walkers. Baby walkers are very different to baby push walkers. Baby walkers typically have a plastic frame with a slung seat in the middle which the child sits in while they propel the baby walker forward. Generally the child gets the baby walker to move by leaning forward into the slung seat and going onto their tippy toes. A baby push walker is a toy which the child stands behind and pushes along while walking. Baby push walkers are great for a baby's development and building their confidence.
