    just like every other part time 4wd going from 4wd or 2wd or both. it can flash saying its in transit. you can still drive and it will complete transition.

    I just do not understand why the car companies feel the need to install a cramped third row of seats in these vehicles. Are there really that many large families these days? Sure, offer it as an option for the few who need it, but I suspect most would prefer the increased cargo area if the seats were not there.

      some of folding third row seats theyre robbing the space as well as the tool compartment. while this one is easy to remove which gives you more space for larger object. my captiva robs large amount of space

      When 3rd row seats are not available, people complain, when they make it available, people complain. It pops out if you don’t want it...

      Not cramped at all in my prado 90. Probably the most generous by any car maker are Toyota’s

    Part time systems bind up usually in the transfer, if it is flashing, stop; in 4h or 4l reverse in a straight light with hard accelerator then immediately change into 2wd

    The old 4runner was never discontinued overseas think Toyota Surf was called fortuna in south east Asia. My old vzn130 totally killed my prado for ground clearance hence it did not have a ding underneath. My prado been hit on the front diff drain plug, front crossmember, sump, transfer case crossmember, fuel tank, muffler, control arm mounts and bash plates really get you suck in the mud. If the 4runner didn't have a totally shit engine I'd still be driving it.

      +Corporal Punishment I agree. Put the new 2.8 turbo and a standard diff lock in the rear in a 4runner and Toyota would have sold millions. Some people don't want 7 seats or want to buy a duel cab.

    Fortuner is never a new product from Toyota. The way it is been described by the reviewer, is that the Fortuner is a product in which to field the gap that Prado had left for the competitor to dig in. However, it is been around for more than 5 years and it is very successful in other market. Not until it is been introduced here in Aussie.
    In Asia, it is Fortuner vs Montero ( Challenger).

    Does the 200 series cruiser ride the same as the 150 Prado on corrugations? in terms of smoothness?

    • @bimosalexandres
      @bimosalexandres 8 років тому +1

      i think the 200 ride smoother and more compliant than the already very comfortable 150

    • @Perogam
      @Perogam 8 років тому

      I've driven both and 200 series is much better on corrogation. price difference is huge though.

    • @bimosalexandres
      @bimosalexandres 8 років тому

      +Perogam very agree.. you get what you paid... anyway it makes me wonder.. does the LX 570 is even more comfortable than the already very very comfortable lc 200? since the the lx 570 is the more luxurious version of the land cruiser 200

    pretty sure toyota has retracted that spec about 270 ground clearance. its now spec at 235 i think, from under the rear diff.

      +Loft Togo 225mm, same as the competition. No way you could get 279mm from an IFS with 265/65/17 tyres

    The problem with Toyotas is - you have to take the top range to get better features and the base range compares with the top range of other cars. The drawback with Fortuner or the prada is the third row seats. Why cant they adopt fold down seats like the captiva( fuel tank issues?

  • @AusJackal
