Hey mate, honestly grateful for this vid. I am basically a few days away from getting a car but I was tossing between a Pajero and the Fortuner. The Fortuner’s swept look obviously appealed to me but was unsure about what’s it like. You helped a lot. Also the new updated engine puts out 150kW and 550Nm torque which is welcome. Thanks again!
Great walkaround man. You've definitely peaked my interest about swapping out the wheels. I was planning on just sticking with the factory rims and going 265 70 17 but that rub on the control arm isnt something i'd thought about! Cheers bro!
Great vid. Im in dilemma to get used Prado (more comfy ride, however more expensive) or a fortuner (cheaper, more inclusions, etc.). I heard fortuner is sturdy to drive. I'm just wondering if upgrading the shocks would correct the sturdiness of Fortuner then it will make driving experience more comfortable. Your answer will be much appreciated. Thanks legends.
100% changing the rear suspension would fix the ride, the fortuner is a really nice car to drive, I would always go for a new fortuner over a 2nd hand Prado, same driveline just a bit smaller inside I would say, even same towing capacity I believe.. Hope this helps.
@@mtmjoziadventure1409 Mmmmmm, not really, the gear we use is either custom or may be a bit heavy for most with what we tow, if your in Sydney give Heasmans a call, alternatively old man emu is known for a soft ride.... Sorry, just all our stuff is sort of done in house...
Thanks mate. The brown looks great. Did you get the GXL over the GX for the hill descent control, or something else. Do you think it's worth the extra $5k. I'm about to order one. Did the dealer give you any discount or solid on the RRP? Thanks!
To be honest he did a great deal on this actual car on the day we went to look, so we saved a considerable amount, which made us not even look at the other models features, I did not want leather and this one had fabric... Being at the right place at the right time, very happy with it, a trouble free motor vehicle it has been indeed....
Hello, this video made me fall in love with offroading, and would like to thank you. If it is not much to ask, do you have any cars like these that you would not mind donating to fans like me here in Uganda? I can't afford a car right now but would appreciate it if you would consider my request. Thank you
The N80 factory tyre rim combo is identical to the GXL fortune, If not a standard N80 tyre rim combo, You would need to test that, unfortunately I can't answer yes or no without obviously seeing .. Thanks for question
We love it, but yet to hit a roo, and don't have a winch that we use of it, so really at present, just been for show... Just nice to have some protection up front that isn't a giant bulbar, quite stealth sitting there....
@@Hillzy_Eighty7 what bad stories have you heard? I’ve got a arb bar on my current truck and was looking at a rhino for a more stealth look on our new fortuner.
Cheers mate, They are 265 70 17, so a touch under a 32x 10.5 wide, but maxxis razr is a big shoe with its sidewall lugs.. Offset of wheels is the key, Probably got 60mm out of the suspension kit.
Yes the cheaper prado i guess most look at it like.. But from a 4runner lovers background I loved the compact size of it.. It really is a nice car, maybe a bit dated now as it hasn't really had any improvements or facelifts in a long time, when all models around it in the Toyota range have changed..
I just bought a 2022 Fortuner, so excited and your videos are great to get amped up for it. Cheers :)
Congratulations, they are a great vehicle...
Well done - it really looks nice, make me feel like my job is not paying enough.

Great walk around bud, thanks for sharing and giving us a few tips on what you found out. That's going to save me some time and frustration.

Thanks for taking the time to do this vid. Considering a Fortuner as an option. Car looks great and you have included lots of good info. Cheers !

Look so good Mitsubishi Challenger or Prado but it has them both covered with the rear diff lock anyway go the HiLux wagon
Quite a nice little rig
I like what you’ve done. Looks good!
Cheers mate, hope all well......
Thanks I found this vid really helpful. Just wondering though is it necessary to get a suspension lift to fit those rims and tyres?
I don't believe that offset or tyre would fit without the lift.. Thanks for the visit
more videos for this fortuner please.

May I know what sort of UHF radio and antenna you are using. I assume you drilled on the bullbar to install the antenna?
Its a GME3120x and the rhino bar comes with neat little bolt on brackets for the antenna. Thanks

Hey mate looks awesome just a question do you think I’ll fit a 265/70/17 with 0 off set wheel
