Why do you want Battlefront 3? So EA can mess up again? Heck no. Epic Games will do a much better job with Star Wars multiplayer. It won’t be like Fortnite though. Move on from Battlefront 3, it’s not going to happen.

At this point I'm not expecting any multiplayer content close to battlefront in at least 5-6 years. It's truly sad but I don't think the higher ups want to touch the battlefront titles because of their own mistakes.
Considering the last time a company did, they lost a stupid amount of stock market value.
even if make battlefront 3 to be honest I think battlefront community is fine we have 6 games in series and mod community on pc

Honestly I've noticed having a live service game to play alongside my franchises has a BIG impact on how much I like and spend on it. After all, how many times can you watch a movie? Surely not hundreds of hours a year worth, games keep people engaged with and thinking about a series much longer. And gives people more things to find joy in. I've been so much less into the MCU since Marvel Heroes died in 2017. And I've noticed in the last year maybe, Star Wars is fading for me after an entire childhood, over a decade. I realized, I've been struggling and kind of forcing it ever since Battlefront died. I don't dislike the modern content like many audiences, I LOOOOOOVE Bad Batch, really liked Ahsoka (should've been animated though), etc... and yet it's not captivating me now. It's not holding my love and attention day and night all year every year like this franchise used to. Because what can I even immerse myself in daily now? Clone Wars Adventures died many years ago and after a gap Battlefront came out, and now that's gone too. There's just not enough to invest in anymore, not when there are other games I can enjoy instead, franchises that WILL put out a game to go with other aspects of their multimedia franchise. But Disney is failing in this regard both Marvel and Star Wars. Money on the table.
On the bright side, there's a chance it could be Republic Commando 2/reboot and feature a multiplayer.

I would lose my mind over any sort of follow up / reboot of Republic Commando, great gameplay, immensely cool setting, fun story, dang, I love that game!
@MrNey-wq7ccI think there was a follow up to this leak, and it was reported that it is actually some sort of mandalorian game. Hard to be disappointed with that, but I’ll keep holding out for a Republic Commando reboot!

What if respawns first person game is a Republic commando sequel or reboot? If it’s something we’ve been wanting for awhile then that definitely fits, we need a new commando game

Tbh I think we are well served with BF1 and 2 for this generation. Unfortunately many ppl took them for granted and backlashed them while they were in their peak. In life we tend to give worth to things only when we miss them.. anyway I think there could be another big multiplayer Star Wars game in the next generation.
If and ONLY IF the day ever came I found out that a reboot reboot Battlefront series or even BFIII was as definitely in the works, even more so by EA DICE. I swear I’ll have a heart attack.

Well EA managed to bury Dice, many of the workers that did SWBF2 are not on Dice anymore, that's why BF2042 floped in part in another part is because those devs did SWBF2 with passion and heart as they were huge fans of star wars, that come to show even on the dialogues that even last friday surprised after having over 2000 hours on swbf2.

Damn, I was really hoping for a battlefront 3. I can't even get a game of BF2 here in Australia, no players on Xbox.
Buy a pc and play it on pc, is really easy for me to find matches on PC although you'll probs have to play on other servers, i'm in europe, also sometimes you'd get cheaters on pc
Eventually they will make a star wars multiplayer just have patience and let them focus on battlefield never say never
I remember going back home after work, running down the sidework and yelling like a maniac to myself: "pew, pew, pew" because I know I will fire up console and play some Battlefront in a moment. It will never come back :( The feels :(
the moment dice is done with their new battlefield game i know the community is going to go crazy and annoy them to make battlefront 3 right after as yes all the guys who made those games have all left dice but idk when it comes to star wars that IP alone always brings out the passion for a lot of people and idk it just wont feel the same if the next game doesnt have that DICE logo right there next to the other supporting studios

EA is still salty that the community pushed back against the stunt they tried to pull in 2017 so BF3 will probably not happen for another 6 years and when it does happen you know they are going to add some goofy shit

I was disapointed to go back to Battlefront II recently, and not see Baylan Skoll or Shin Hati added to the game.
I think companies are scared to take on sw multiplayer bc of the pr disaster that was the battlefront 2 launch, and star wars multiplayer is synonymous with battlefront. Any AAA star wars multiplayer shooter is going to be called battlefront or referred to as basically a battlefront game, and no studio is willing to take that risk when they can make a solid singleplayer and not have a constant team working on it.
Y’all should’ve appreciated BF2 when it was active. Y’all let the internet fool you into thinking the game was bad. And it flopped
@sosamanotf642 I've played battlefront since the og 2, I did not take it for granted whatsoever. I still hop on every now and then. I'm just saying why I think no company wants to go near it. I thought the game had amazing potential and it was flawed. They fixed the issues, and I loved it. And it absolutely did not flop.
pretty much EA killed battlefront with lack of content and loot boxes never came close like OG battlefront 2004-2005

I find this slightly ironic. I agree with what you are saying, I would LOVE a new multiplayer SW game, but when we had a lot of Multiplayer content everyone was mad we weren’t getting single player. Now people are getting frustrated there is no multiplayer. The creatives are listening to us, it just takes them years to match the whims of the community.
As a daily bf2 player I've talked with some of my friends I don't necessarily think battlefront 3 is out of the question because ea doesn't own it anymore and there's so many studios out there that know what all Star Wars fans truly want and I think we could eventually get one also there no game called eclipse it was a trailer to get people interested to come and work in the studio and that already went down the drain
I would never say Star Wars multiplayer is dead. The popularity of things like Call of Duty, Apex Legends and other shooters virtually guarantees that somewhere down the road there will be another multiplayer Star Wars shooter. Sure, they’ll have whatever “Star Wars in Fortnite” experience they’re looking at, but this also gives Epic the opportunity to create a realistic Star Wars shooter within Unreal Engine.

Yes but that should be a given that we get a bunch of games since Star Wars is the biggest franchise in the world.
So yeah I should be positive but we should be demanding much more. And we've barely gotten any games at all for ages since the Disney Empire acquired Star Wars in 2012.
BF3 would be tho only saving thing. I stopped playing last month because it’s simply boring knowing we will never get new characters or maps.
We know what we have to do then. Keep Battlefront 2 alive. Let us keep having fun with it and keep asking for a multiplayer game. We can not loose and I am sure, we will get a SW multiplayer game at some point in the future.
We need battlefront 3. So many battlefront groups and the community is still very active.
IMO, Tom’s comment could mean several ideas:
1. Republic Commando (remake or sequel)
2. 1313 (possibly Boba Fett)
3. A Mando game
Star Wars is really lacking a multiplayer game. A trooper and hero combat focussed game would do so well.
i think the strategy game has a very good chance of having multiplayer modes. it's extremely unlikely to be another empire at war cus of today's video game standards but empire at war still has an amazing community and it would just be stupid not to take advantage of that when you're creating the first proper star wars Strategy game since then.

Hmmm. I dunno, that would be a first for Disney to suddenly start adding to Legends EU content, unless it was a complete reboot for the Disney Canon I’m not sure about a new Jedi Knight game.

I want to fight AI with other players but is co-op the only mode for that?
You can play supremacy and co-op offline vs bots. It's called instant action under the singleplayer section

Oh ok thanks, I forgot. I hate playing against online players (PvP) & wish it was more PvE besides just co-op mode. I wish I could be online & play supremacy vs AI with capital ships included but that's not possible, right?
And is it really co-op if I just play it solo though?
Honestly I think any multiplayer is going to be linked with Fortnite going forward, which completely sucks. However, if they give us some creative freedom over it then we could make some fun games to play
It’s so sad that a big part of the reason BF2 was forgotten about was because they put so much focus into Battlefield 2042, which was a complete failure. Battlefront 3 would be so much more successful😭

Tbh I don't want a Battlefront III, I want a Battlefront: Clone Wars. Just a Battlefront game that has more maps, heroes, vehicles, droid types, and clone specializations from the Clone Wars era that Battlefront II does not have. They can then release sequels that just focus on the Original trilogy and Sequels.
just be like og battlefront 2004-2005 base on content OT and PT era or hell battlefront 3 base on content from PT and OT Mandoverse over sequel trilogy content.

This is a shame. We really do need a new MP game. I am still playing BF2 MP and enjoying, but we need something new. I would like to see them expand some, perhaps into the Old Republic era. Im actually kind of glad we're not getting any SW multiplayer games just yet. The whole time EA had the license thats all they produced was multiplayer with one single player title in the midst. Now that there's the open license, and all these studios are signing up to produce games, I say lets see what they produce and the quality they can manage first. Then, once everyone has their established titles out, we can see and choose who should focus on the multiplayer aspect. Whether it be a Battlefront 3 where there are numerous studios who could nail the title or other multiplayer games. Let's just be happy we're actually getting so many new titles. I guarantee if EA still had the license, they'd be jangling everything in front of our faces
