Why We Need Star Wars Battlefront 3 NOW More Than Ever...

- In this Star Wars games news update video we discuss the current state of Star Wars games and the need for a new Star Wars Battlefront 3 game. Last time, we discussed the controversy surrounding Star Wars Outlaws, and the future of Star Wars games. We believe that a lack of a current Star Wars multiplayer game, such as Star Wars Battlefront, is one of the biggest problems in Star Wars gaming because a game such as that would serve as a great compliment to the phenomenal Star Wars single player experiences (Star Wars Jedi Survivor, LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, etc.) and a way to stay actively engaged with the Star Wars IP in between the multi year development cycles of these single player games.
Star Wars Outlaws is a game we have been looking forward to ever since our Star Wars Outlaws gameplay walkthrough breakdown & reaction video where we did a frame by frame analysis of the brand new Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay reveal walkthrough from Ubisoft Forward 2023. This gameplay provided us with so many great new gameplay, story, and combat details. We got our first look at the Star Wars Outlaws blaster combat, the Star Wars Outlaws speeder gameplay, the Star Wars Outlaws ship & space battles gameplay, and so much more!
Star Wars Outlaws is the upcoming Ubisoft Star Wars Open World game made by Massive Entertainment. The Star Wars Outlaws release date is currently set for 2024 on PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi where players will become Kay Vest, a clever scoundrel in the galactic underworld. The article from Star Wars states that the Star Wars Outlaws story will feature Kay “looking to attempt one of the biggest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen, all in an effort to start an new life”.
Although Star Wars Outlaws is a new & original single player story with exciting new characters, we still got some familiar Star Wars planets & characters in the new trailer. This includes: Han Solo frozen in carbonite, Jabba the Hutt, Pyke Syndicate, Canto Bight, Cantonica (The Last Jedi), & Kijimi (The Rise of Skywalker). In the article for Star Wars Outlaws the Creative Director at Massive Entertainment provided “With the Galactic Empire on the heels of the Rebel Alliance, and the criminal underworld thriving, an outlaw like Kay Vess has a whole galaxy of opportunity in front of her”.
Needless to say we are INCREDIBLY excited for this game and can’t wait for more Star Wars Outlaws gameplay, trailers, story details, and news updates to breakdown and analyze on the channel!

we would've had one if EA decided not to throw the entire game in the trash when it was like 99% finished
Me and my brothere were hoping outlaws would be coop up to 2 players because avatar was and ubisoft usually adds a coop mode but for some reason this game doesn't just imagine travelling the universe with a friend as your gunner/copilot making narrow escape from stormtroopers on planets and yet ubisoft didnt see the potential for a coop mode in outlaws it sucks. The biggest issue is lucasfilm wants it canon, so having a coop doesn't work, and i hate that everything needs to be canon. It's definitely possible to have coop in outlaws
Why is it so hard for Battlefront 3 to become a reality lol. But we need more co-op star wars games in general, from PVE types, maybe a star wars battle royale? Or just Battlefront 3. If we ever did get BF3, it would need to have everything from the get-go that Battlefront 2 had by the end of its lifecycle.

The thing that really gets to me when it comes to battlefront 2 is basically what you said about all the new stuff we have that they could have added.
Imagine what we could have now with all these new shows
New heroes
New skins
New maps
New emotes
New weapons
New ships
So so many cool things that we will almost definitely never get
I played For Honor during the Star Wars event a few years back (converted all weapons into lightsabers) which really showed how awesome a melee focused star wars pvp game could be
It’s been 5 years since bf2 content ended. Someone needs to step up and make the game. It’s pot of gold just waiting there
Arguably there is also the problem that as soon as EA said they were dropping Battlefront 2 so many people instantly dropped the game on console leaving the rest of us waiting in almost empty lobbies.
So what me and my friends have talked about is a game like Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint, but we're you're a clone commando.

Having a live service multiplayer that we can play in between the solo's would be so perfect.but sadly thats not the world we live in currently.
They should have just released duel mode for Jedi survivor. They did it with force unleashed back in the day
Absolutely, I just got locked out of a game, there were hackers using aim-bot, Also there's too many game modes and waiting on a server for players is wasting too much time, they can use more heroes like "THE MANDALORIAN, ASHOKA, THE ENDOR, DarkSide: Dark Anikin Dark Rea etc.
I don't see it happening. An expensive project because of the license, and an audience that can be less than appreciative of the work.
I wouldn't even be mad if they just took bf2 added all the things that currently exist in starwars and buy it as a new game bf2.5 if you will
I would love to see either a battlefront 3 or a bounty hunter multiplayer game
Battlefront 3 should definitely be made there would be a huge market for it if it was done right maybe add different variants of characters will different or more abilities and progression to keep it fresh
Also, I think Star Wars fans are hard to make happy now because we’ve been neglected for so long that when we finally get news on a game, if it isn’t exactly what we want, we get pissed.

Just an optimistic view: I see new players on BF2. I’m still playing and the game feels different when new player join. The meta strategies change.
I still play Battlefront 2!
Dice got the look and graphics on point, better than anyone before them or since. Dice needs to make BF3 - to do that they'll need microtransactions but many won't allow it to happen. I rather have a game with microtransactions then no game at all.
Think they need to do a smaller spin off, making a 3 trilogy game would be far too big and take so long to make it get anywhere near the size if bf2.

i agree with everything you said. Battlefront is the ultimate playground for Star Wars.
but there are so many obsticals at the moment that prevent a new BF to be concived i fear...
First of all after BF2 and all the lootbox stuff i am pretty sure DICE will never touch this franchise again. EA already made i pretty clear that they will focus on Battlefield.
And who should this game build other than DICE? i don't know any other studio at the moment that can make sandboxes like they do.
Respawn maybe but they have already so many jSW projects in the works that i doubt they have the time or capacity for BF. And i NEVER want Activision to touch BF especally now that they are owned by MS.
The next problem are the liscenzing costs. this is what ultimatly killed BF3 by DICE. Any smaller studio/publisher could simply not afford them.
You said that all the toxic parts of MP games these days should not appear in a new BF game. well i guess stuff like battlepasses or paid cosmetics would be absolutly necessary to sustain the live service model.
also what should this new game feature at launch? my best guess is ppl would at least want the same amount of content Battlefront 2 ended on.
considering all this i fear the only realistic kind of game we could expect is something small scaled like Star Wars Hunters on consoles and pc. a cheap, easy to sustain hero shooter...

i would love a new battlfront ive been playing battlfornt 2 whenever i crave some star wars multyplayer but i just wish more then any other game that we could get a new battlfront that isn't ruined by ea
At least perhaps they can release some DLS or Expansion while removing some of the elements that no longer worked over time, you can crouch Heroes and you can cling or climb stuff in the map, so yea ...I m 6 min into the video.
I don't like multiplayer action games but I might play it if it has a decent single-player campaign with it. I'm just glad we're getting some variaty. That was my problem with Star Wars games in general in the 7th and 8th gens. In the earlier gens you had tons of games of different types. I wish they would give us a singleplay starfighter focused game. Something like the Rogue Squadron and Starfighter games or even a Multiplayer focused Squadrons type game but with a much longer single-player campaign, and single player mission packs included whenever any new starfighters get added.
The original Star Wars Arcade game, which was tthe Battle of Yavin the game, was the first video game I played, and I grew up playing the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games plus the Rogue Squadron games when I got the chance plus the Starfighter games after I got my PS2. I never understood why that section of the gaming franchise got so little attention after the 6th gen.
I agree. Big miss by the industry. It seems like EA bought the exclusive rights just to ruin the gamers experience.

With regards to both sides of the entertainment sphere for Star Wars, I think that video games need to find an equal ground to have both multiplayer and single player titles. You can't just have one and nothing from the other. I don't care if we get Battlefront 3 or some other multiplayer title granted I would prefer Battlefront 3 since I did enjoy playing the first two modern titles A LOT! With regards to film and television, I've been saying this for a while but Star Wars needs movies. You can't just have television and animated stuff. Star Wars started with movies and it needs that medium back. So that's my view on Star Wars right now with regards to both those areas. If they can get back to doing movies, and then if we get a Battlefront 3 with everything the other games do with a campaign AND galactic conquest then we are cooking!
star wars extraction shooter would be a perfect idea, bunch of bounty hunters put on a world to explore and gather resources/bounties to do and sell

@@commandercody4169 so basically the way I see how the state of multiplayer and online video games are right now is that the big problem they all face is that they seem to only want to copy each other for their successes and not do their own thing. Also microtransactions that too. My problem will be is that if an extraction game was made for Star Wars it would be like that. In fairness, there aren't as many extraction shooters as say other brands and genres of gaming that keep copied endlessly like battle royales for example. However, we are now seeing that people want to try and be like Escape from Tarkov which some say is the best extraction game. In my opinion, I feel there are probably so many other better ideas for a multiplayer game that you could do for Star Wars. Honestly, if you take away Battlefront 3 from ever getting made, I would love to see a multiplayer game made out of Galactic Conquest. Just one game made out of that mode, expand the mode out even more and just make it its own thing.
id like a single player battlefront, with decent bots and a bunch of game modes to extend playtime past 1 hour that you can THEN ! chose to go into multiplayer ... that would be awesome.
mulitplayer or single player doesn't matter happy enough we are getting Star Wars games even if end up being delay/cancelled /good/bad but battlefront 3 was make probably would be good or suck.

Honestly the easiest online multiplayer game they could do and they wouldn’t have to do much but there are 2 exclusive Star Wars Battlefront renegade squadron and elite squadron games on the psp there so much fun I used to play it all the time but it would be even better if it was on the Xbox, PlayStation and pc please talk about this thank you

Only if it had space to ground battles, galactic conquest, a large heroes vs villains roster and having vehicles that were able to be driven or piloted similar to how you can hop in vehicles in halo. Also it needs offline single player and split screen instant action with high quality bots. Basically remaster the PS2 battlefront 2 and add all the features added to the game the Free Radical was making with battlefront 3 15 years ago.

I actually couldnt stand battlefront. It was clearly based on the lemming rush battlefield mentality. Little tactical aspect like cod did. Plus the flight dynamics with no yaw control in battlefront 1 SUCKED
Id much rather have a detailed space based single player or mmorpg to give eve online a run for their money or to replace elite dangerous.
Sadly finding a decent single player game is harder and harder to find. I want games that I can play solo or not have to rely on teammates, but then can also play with friends too.
