I got these after previously using the adipower 1s and I really like the 4s. I like the weight. And my foot is relatively narrow. I’m still breaking it in but other than that I’m happy with it and have felt a pretty decent amount of support. Love your stuff tho!
I've been working out in these shoes for a month now and love them. Don't let one review from someone stop you from trying these out. Shoes will work different for everyone, some will like them and others won't. If you're on the fence of buying these, just do it.
These shoes are absolutely fine. I have all three Romaleos. Romaleos 2 yes are flat as hell but each provide something unique. I’d choose 4s over 2s. But I love the look of the 2s more
I bought these shoes despite seeing this review (partly because literally every other shoe was sold out. I wanted to buy the Antas). I was really reluctant about buying these shoes from this video. But from my experience, I really like the shoe. They're very stable laterally. The curve at the front does make you rock forward INITIALLY. However, once you break into your shoe, it no longer becomes an issue. I would say the same thing for the "heel slip." The Nike logo at the bottom of the shoe does NOT stick out or cause any problems for me. If you have wide feet, these may not be for you. Try them on at a store first. I got them in size 10. I usually wear 10-11 in sneakers. I tried 9.5 in Legacy Lifters 2 and could fit in them as a side note (10s were not in stock). I picked the black Romaleos 4 because they just looked cooler to me compared to the green Legacy Lifters 2 (the only thing in stock). I previously wore the Adidas Adistar 2004 (size 12, which is WAY too big for me but I somehow managed). I wore the shit out of them until someone pointed out that I should get a new pair since they were literally stripping apart. To conclude, I like these shoes. Never tried the Rom 2s though.
the nike logo on the sole doesn't protrude at all on my pair. my sole looks more like a bow when you look from the front, where the sides are in contact with the gound and the midde part is 1mm off the ground. weird. you're totally right with your other points. i only use them for squatting 3x a week and they're really comfortable. good enough for me.
Finally a comment on the curved shape of the outsole. Clearly not flat on the stock images and no one has even mentioned it! I ordered a pair but don't really have high hopes of them taking over my 2's.
the 2's are not totally flat either with the shoe off but when they are on the foot and floor on the outsole is flat. I've seen a few lifters with these and the curve is pretty evident even when lifting. I guess we'll see how the 4's feel for me. Maybe the out sole could soften up over time as well?
