If anyone is considering this I would recommend it! They are pretty good and to me much better than the 4s. I would also recommend going true to size. It’s a personal preference but I like mine to be snug which reduces any slip.
Hi! Well, I started weightlifting some months ago and used an old power perfect 2 pair in size 39 (I think womens, 24.5 cm) which I think are kinda narrow generally (In the beginning they definitely felt so) and I recently found in stock the romaleos 3xd and the sizing is unisex. To be honest, those adidas were not mine so I don't know if 40 would be the proper one for me, but they fitted exactly and would hurt me at all, even with thick cushioned socks. In general, in Nike sizing is complicated for me and really depends on the shoe, and I am between 39 and 40 (in sports shoes), also my feet have a noticeable difference so if I get a pair bigger than it should be, for my left leg it may fit too big. So, I can order the shoe but shipping expenses will be high in case I need to change it cause I am abroad... Should I go for 39 (24.5) or 40 (25 cm)? EU sizing apparently...
What’s your opinion on Nike now not having any other option than to simply replace anyone’s 3s that have ripped. By bringing out an XD model they are kind of admitting the original 3s had an issue.
I'm about to order these Romaleos 3 XDs and I'm just wondering if these are at least at par with the Legacys or just go for the Legacys? Taking Powerlifting a bit seriously so recreational? , since I work in the office.
Thanks for the review. I saw you said to go tts with metcon and adipower's, so if I wear a 10.5 in metcon 2's and 10.5 in the old adipower's go 10.5 with the XD? Also any further impressions you could give on the shoe after a few months? Thanks
Yeah go with the 10.5. To be honest I haven't used them a ton since. I like them but they're a little too narrow to use for me. Honestly I prefer Legacys or Adipower 2 if I was using lifters.
Performance should be fairly similar. There isn't a huge difference in flexibility, the minor increase in weight probably won't be noticable. I just don't care for wearing Oly shoes for wods.
Having tried them all with amazon prime wardrobe recently - I can say I absolutely like the legacys the most (heavy, durable, very stable/secure), and I would not consider the Addi 2s at all for powerlifting in my opinion (too insecure for anything over 3 plates) Hope that helps :)
@@Chritter thank you so much man. I originally got the adi2s due to being super confused and realized legacies are the best options and found them for $100. Planning on returning the adi2s when they come.
i got size 5 which is same as my romaleos two, and it was so so snug it kinda hit my big toe when i jerk or squat ? so i thought maybe i better half size up! I'm not sure if i should keep the very snug one or take better the half size up lol! i have both ! gotta return one! some people said give it time it will stretch but im worried they don't?
Peanut Tiny-Tuber take the size up, in my review I said these should be sized up compared to Rom2. They just run smaller and more in line with training shoes.
I'm considering getting a pair for like 100 bucks. just wanna figure out two things: 1. are they worth it for the price? 2. are they true to size? (i haven't tried any WL shoes before so use normal metrics please)
For 100, sure since that’s pretty cheap. These run maybe about a half size small, but in line with most Nike products. Size them like your other Nike shoes.
Hey man, I'm a powerlifter and I've been using original adipower's for squats for as long as I can remember. I use them several times a week/whenever I do meets. I've made tons of progress with them/had good meets, but prolonged wearing gets uncomfortable. My primary pair are of five years old, so they're def broken in. I can sometimes feel my foot flooding/shifting over. It's not monumental, but I'm in the market to try a new shoe. Many agree legacy lifters are the widest, but I'm not a big fan of the design. I really like the XD but it seems to be a narrow shoe.
If you feel okay in adipowers, you'll be fine in romaleos...they'll still get comfortable after prolonged use though. You might get temporary relief using Legacy's but even those will get uncomfortable as your feet swell...still probably a better fit than romaleos. My suggestion is to pick some Legacy's up when they go on sale so you're not so committed. If you can't stand them just buy romaleos XD...make sure you go a half size up from your adipowers though.
@@AMRAP Thank you for the quick input. I'm thinking I'll make my move on the 3.5's then. Wish I would've grabbed the all black adi-powers before all the normal foot sizes disappeared. The black on black 3.5's are still pretty fresh though.
My Metcon 4 looks like it has the same tongue as the old Romaleo 3. I've never had any issues with the tongue nor have i ever pulled on it over the last 12 months of owning them. Why are people pulling on the tongue, just your foot in the damn shoe.
JFomo it happens? People use different ways to get their shoes on, that way just happens to rip the tongue for some people. I haven’t torn mine but I still think it sucks for people that have done it.
thanks buddy. I was looking for an exact video like yours which is explaining the exact differences between 3 and 3xd. you saved my bucks and life :)
Pleasantly surprised to see STA gear :)
Thanks man. They were 40% off, figured it was the best deal I was gonna get.
I ordered my Romaleo 3 XDs for the aesthetics lol
the colorway of the 3s is dope
I went tts and there was heel slippage so I went down .5 size, they fit nice and very snug but not uncomfortable.
I have narrow feet btw.

What is the narrowness of the romaloes 3 xd?

A lot of people I know got their shoes warrantied...I mean they obviously know but it's not up to them to make any claims.
Well nike never denied anything. They knew they had to go back to the drawing board

Trying to choose between romaleos 3, adipower 2/1s and legacy lifters. I don't do weightlifting and am looking for the best possible pair for squats.

I purchased mine from Shopanta.com

Do you know any brick and mortar stores I can find these to try on? I can’t find these anywhere
@As Many Reviews As Possible your thoughts Nike Romaleos vs Reebok Legacy Lifter?
They're pretty much the same in performance, romaleos are better for narrow feet and Legacy for wide

Roberto Rosado flex repel shorts
I have some Nike running shoes that are size 9.5. Should I stick with the same size in the 3 XD?
Are the Nilke romaloes 3.5 and xd the same thing?
Yes

To answer your question I just bought mine and tested them out. I would buy them true to size. They are so much better then the 4s
do the xd look as aesthetic as the 3’s in real life?
I think they look better, more full and higher quality
Can I wear them casually
They are a full size smaller than true to size.
How’s the sizing on these? I usually wear a size US 10.
R C in oly shoes or normal shoes
As Many Reviews As Possible in normal shoes. Some people said that get a half size down or true to size.
R C for the XD it’s going to be true size. For normal 3s half down.
