I think Nike has a surplus of ripstop nylon cause they're using a ton of it in a lot of their models
Thank you for the good review!
No problem Sharan!
Hi man, thank you for the review. I have a question about the arch though, do you get it from the insoles that come with the shoes or does the inside of the shoe actually elevates to give an arch support directly, thus supinating the foot ?
I hope it is not the latter, I already have over supination, I was hoping to get them but I really need a pair that is flat laterally speaking. Thanks in advance, and hope you recover well from your knee injury.
Just double checked, the arches raise in the shoe AND on the insole (more of a slope). The shoe also seems narrower where your arch would rest. I wouldn't recommend these if you want something more flat.
Appreciate it! Hope this helps.
@@trainershatehim I guess I will pass on these then, thank you for taking the time to check. Still waiting for an awesome looking weightlifting shoe with neutral foot and sufficient heel raise... I am currently wearing the inov 8 fastlift 335 with a small hard heel insert under the insole but they are starting to look pretty beat up now. It's a good time to update for the 325 model and have a cobbler add 5 mm of heel height.
They probably are the exact same length but the heavier material adds up around the foot to make the shoe internally smaller. At least this seems like a proper oly shoe again vs the 3 which seemed like something inov8 would make, only way worse.
kcb5150 definitely agree, that’s what it seems like. Still waiting for the day Nike re-releases Adistars.
@@trainershatehim I use 2008 adistars, bit I am old and 96-08 Adidas are what I am used to.
@@kcb5150 The golden age of Weightlifting shoes
@@trainershatehim 04 are not that good. I would take the 96 with the strap over the 00 but not the 96 with the two backpack buckles. 08 are just awesome because your ankles are so out there and free but everything cupping the heel and mid is so hard. That and the got the flexibility perfect. I do have a pair of matocha m which are great shoes, but heavy.
I have a question: which are narrowest: Romaleos 4, Romaleos 3 XD, AdiPower2?
I think both Roms are the same narrowness, but I'm basing that off of using the original Rom 3's not the XD's. Haven't worn Adipower 2's, but judging by Adipower 1's, the Rom's are tighter. Rom 2's are wide though!
very very good review bro
Appreciate it my man. 👍
Cool video 😌
Can you guys help me? I have a narrow feet (3.5 inches / 88.9 mm) my usual Nike running shoe size is US 11 i'm considering on buying Nike romaleos 4 should I also get size US 11 as well or should I increase the size by US 11.5?
Wish I could help - not sure how to size from Nike running shoes to these. Part of me wants to say you should go down to 10.5 but don't quote me on that.
Just got the Romaleos 3xd still have little time to return it never have a weightlifting shoes before should I stay with the 3xd or go for the 4
Honestly I'd tell you to stick with the 3xd's. The 4's are cool, but if you've never worn weightlifting shoes before, the heaviness is going to be overwhelming. Indulge how you will.
Agreed just use the 3xd to experience it but when you go to 4 you will notice the changes. You have to feel it and it’s hard to explain.
How's the heel slip for you now? About to pull the plug on these but I have relatively wide feet. They look so dope though.
Chris Fernandez Honestly man, the heel slip never went away for me and I stopped wearing the shoes entirely. I will say though that I’ve heard other people are loving the shoe so far, so it deserves a chance.
trainershatehim that’s a shame, I’m just gonna send it
Great video brother! I am size 7.5, I run most of my shoes true to size 7.5 should I size up on this shoes?
I actually went with a women's size 10 when I normally wear men's 8, and they were a little big on me, so my knowledge on sizing will be a little off. I'm assuming they're mostly true to size but check other reviews just to be sure.
I got these! I returned them though just cause the heel slip was too much for me
I'm starting to get more and more frustrated by the heel slip... I don't blame you for returning them. Hope you find a pair of shoes you like.
@@trainershatehim Luxiaojun barbell released their Anta Panda colors again, it was sold out and now its up for reorder, free delivery and 70 bucks off so i got a better deal with the money i got back. The only thing is i gotta wait till August .
@@charleschou5276 That's a long wait but I think you'll be happy with the Antas, especially with that deal.
Charles Chou where did you order from
I'm a powerlifter looking for a new heeled shoe. What do you guys mean by heel slip? Also is it something that bothers you when squatting or just when doing snatches and c&J's?
The heel slip is insane. Mine are already very tight and uncomfortable and still the heel slips a lot.
Horrible, it was bad for me too. I've heard from a one or two others that they aren't experiencing heel slip at all, so I'm curious as to what's causing it for some.
Where’d you get those laces from they’re 🔥
Yes whereeeeee!
Oh they're olddd. I kept them on my 3's, and then on a pair of training shoes before that.... I don't remember the store, but the brand is Mr.Lacy
What if im a size 13. There's no 13 and a half so should I go to 14 ?
I wouldn't size up in these, but what do I know, I only wear size 8 :/
Managed to snag a pair of rom2s
Im really surprised by how stiff the forefoot is. WAY less flexible than the adipower 1
100% - The Rom 3 is the only Rom with a flexible forefoot.
@@trainershatehim so much better for squats, but i wonder how do you split jerk in them properly
Im a useless weightlifter so ive never tried but they seem highly rated for those lifts
I might know a place for new ones depending on your size if you felt like adding a pair👍🏾
What place???
@@R.sjoegren depends on what size
@@getstrongby4038 10uk
the heel slip is probaly becouse you half sized up
They were still too cramped on the sides :/ they ended up just not being a good shoe for my foot shape.
Heel slip oh noo Nike releasing Rom4 XD
:/ Feels like another cash grab from Nike.
