Saw DM in Sept 2013 and was very disappointed with their sound and the fact that they played a very short set given the many hits they had. They left out many of their big hits both in the USA and UK. Yet I will give him credit for nailing this one! Very true to the original both in his voice and in the music.

I'm a Joy Division fan, but Ian Curtis as a vocalist couldn't hang with Dave Gahan. Ian was a talented writer, but not a poet. Poetry has a structure often not found in musical lyric. People misuse the term poetic for something that has a loose rhyme scheme and depth, but isn't considered an actual sonnet.
