@@TennisLegends-ebay he’s right. Peter Hook and the Light are amazing live. Sure, Hook doesn’t have the best voice but neither does Sumner. The bass of Hook was the biggest element to the sound of Joy Division. I just saw Hook and the Light a week ago, they played both Joy Division albums front to back and it all sounded amazing. New Order couldn’t ever.
Wow! I was graduated high school in 1981 and college at Iowa and we were into punk, post punk, new wave and reggae. I really didn’t know Joy Division until the Marines. Sad about Ian Curtis. However, this song and Ceremony lift my spirits.
Hard to believe that it was over 40 years ago when I first heard this song and knew a Rochdale lad Mick who had done work with a lot of the Factory bands.

Why don't NO play an Anagram of Ian Curtis or performing his awkwardly iconic dance on the big screen while they play ? That would be something the fans would go absolutely mental over. Give Ian his due. His legacy continues
hello , never been to glastonbury one of the biggest cities over in greenwich for live shows while the skater live for lollapalooza and warped tours is the brand in the side of no accent. elle for smell our pits here
This takes me back when I used to jump up and down this it was energetic song I miss them all the sex pistols the clash and the stranglers and undertones
Saw them in Austin on their first continental tour of the US, 1983. Barney, Gillian, and Hooky. Between songs Barney asks if there's any requests. Barney: "We don't do requests so fuckit!" Was a Joy Division fan while Curtis was still alive, but never saw them. Felt like I was seeing something rare and unique - that was New Order in 1983. Fantastic show.
That photo of Ian Curtis on the screen behind is haunting. Forever young.
He’s beautiful xxx
Still one of the greatest songs of all time. It just kills.
So fuckin true dude
yep! who needs a right twat!

I love how Bernard is singing like Ian on this. So awesome ❤
Joy Division were so ahead of their time, Beautiful performance

Only New Order should ever be allowed to cover this (or any) Joy Division track. And this is why. Majestic!
Does this cover change your mind: ua-cam.com/video/TEXw4KbSczc/v-deo.html
Peter Hook has as much to do with these songs as anybody and his band "The Light" delivers a more authentic, faithful version

When Ian Curtis died the rest of the band reagrupes and form New Order honoring the pact they had if someone left Joy Division.
