I’m absolutely a fan of SOFAD and earlier albums. BUT, this song almost without music, just with an exceptional atmosphere and extremely clean and natural voice of Dave with very few effects on it is something PHENOMENAL! Such a trap for my heart! I can’t get out of it! The original song is very great, but totally different, has nothing with this piece, except the chords and lyrics, but brings an atmosphere which I cannot describe. I did not feel anything closer since Walking In My Shoes. Truly amazing!
I am also a believer in the early DM, but I’m now realizing David has continued crafting his voice into a perfect empathic instrument. The DM cover of So Cruel, his solo cut Kingdom, and the recent Depeche Mode tracks My Little Universe and Cover Me feature these subtler vocal stylings. I hope you enjoy if you have not heard…

I no lie have been waiting for this for 10 years. At age 15 was going through some hard times I thought could never get worse (but did) and would never get better (which also eventually did) and the two most important bands to me were Depeche Mode & Metallica. Both bands being driving forces when I wanted to quit both as a musician and in any other aspect in life. My top 5 artists/bands still (in no order ) are Depeche Mode, Metallica, David Bowie Christian Eigner & Iggy Pop
Music does that and so glad things got better. I am you at age 15, except I’m a grown ass adult after a horrific 16 years I don’t have much more strength to go on. I have a cat and she’s the ONLY reason I haven’t ended my life. I rescued her and I feel that’s an unwritten contract that I cannot break. She was mistreated and it took her 3 years to feel safe with me. She did not like my husband and one night he threw a tantrum and he permanently moved out of our bedroom because I didn’t laugh at his joke. My kitty finally started to get in the bed which she never did with him there and snuggle up to me. Eventually, we got divorced and once we got in our place, she came into her own. IMHO, there’s no love that like that of a rescue. She feels my pain, has literally wiped my tears away, lays with me on the bathroom floor when I’m passed out sick 🤮 and has literally has grabbed my hands when I’ve started to go for my readily available end it all supplies. I know that’s probably TMI, but DM is one of my favs as well and they have so many songs that really cut right through to my heart. This looks like an excellent collaboration and I’m glad I found out about it. Best of luck to you and keep on rocking on Hunter 🤘🏼.

Every time I see a new one I tend to give it a name. I completely understand I have what my mom calls a therapy cat. He literally fell out of my grandparents wall from a few days old and I’ve been his pick sense. I have Autism and bipolar so sometimes I have trouble regulating my emotions or sleep and he picks up on that. I’m sure your sweet girl does too.
