- The brand new 2024/25 model year GR Yaris Four and in this video we unveil the car before its pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and we peel of the protective films and do a little of the PDI work and then go for a first drive to put some Shell Vpower in the fuel tank.
Watch the video for some of my first thoughts.
Keep an eye out for our first drive video when we go and collect the car as it’s currently still undergoing its PDI. - Авто та транспорт
Thank you guys for taking the time to do this review 🤘🏻
That’s RRG in Macc. Great team, always took my GT86 there during the whole time I had it 👍
Yeah they are a superb bunch of guys highly recommended
Indicators on the left finally! Must be the first JDM car to have that.
Good spot, should have realised but its been a while since my older JDM cars.
I don’t think the “quality” of the dampers has changed, they’ve changed the spring rates and the mounting points on the front but they are not a more expensive damper. But to be fair you kept calling it a 2025 car so I’m guessing you don’t know much about them.
Thanks from down under 👍
No problem. :)
I'm here watching this thinking I know this bloke...took me far too long to realise it's Gibbo from OcUK 🤣 Funny how the algorithm has worked.
Still so very interested in this car but the price has always put me off. I was slightly underwhelmed when driving the prefacelift. On paper it's everything I want but in reality it seemed to be a bit wide of the mark. Will keep an eye out at my local dealer anyway.
It is the problem with newer cars and a lot of the safety features, as much as I love the GR Yaris now having owned both a MK1 and MK2 I still have fonder memories of my EVO's, the GR is fabulous but an EVO FQ is an incredible car.
Great car but considering the OG was £32k and this one is nearly £15k more expensive I don't think it warrants the price increase!
I somewhat agree but once we collect the car and drive it some more shall be better positioned to see if it is worth the extra or not, but in fairness if the MK1 was released this year with inflation I suspect the new OTR for the gen1 would be around 38k.
Never heard of QE or inflation? This is likely a loss-making car for Toyota. In any case it is not available to buy as numbers were limited.
Drop the bonnet, don’t push on it, aluminium and looks like he dented it to 😮
Agreed, camera anxiety but no marks or dents in bonnet. I shall also be doing a professional machine polish and then protecting the car with a 5yr Gtecniq ceramic coating.
The Toyota centre caps are always way harder to put in than Subaru caps.
Tight fitting, which is good as less likely for them to spin or fall out over the years. :)
Sorry but they are insane charging almost 50K Euros for this over here in Germany. This is a 3 cylinder with hard plastic interior, and no fake limited production numbers can hide that fact. I can get an Audi A5 for this money with some extras which is much higher quality than this thing. I know they will be sold out but that doesn't change the fact that the price is based on greed and nothing else.
I just can’t warm to that dash surround, just a big square block of plastic!
The Yaris is too noisy on motorways. Shocking really for what they cost. The ride quality on the larger alloys makes the interior rattle over poor surfaces. Its okay to have that sort of setup but the cars needs to be more solid with premium interior materials to cope with it. Just not good enough.
Should have bought the automatic transmission.
Why?
@@Gibbo205 it's faster around a track and 0-60. Which is faster a PDK 911 or manual 911?
Faster does not mean better or more fun though and hence why Porsche brought the manual back in the GT3
I'd totally buy a manual one. 0-60 times are irrelevant. Fun and involvement are very relevant.
@@typhoon-7someone who understands and gets it 👍
Dash looks terrible, like a toy dash. Not that it matters as there is no way i would pay the vastly inflated price toyota are asking.
There not very clever at toyota as i put a deposit on the last two gr models and not bothering with this one due to lifting it to an unrealistic level ,they think they are now as good as porsche.
Dash/interior is terrible..
