Agree about the pops and bangs from that 1.8L 4-pot. Too much like a 'yoof' in a Corsa VXR. They should be switchable through a specific settings option, not an engine map.

That GR Yaris competed in the British Rally Championship in 2024 and won with Chris Ingram driving it. I believe the car on display at the show is his team mate Merion Evans’ car, Chris Ingram’s car is still in Japan after competing in the WRC2 at Rally Japan in November.

Great car but they really messed the dash up. It looks like the sort of thing you’d see in prototype or a lorry, I can’t be,I’ve that’s how they left it. The phase one which was far from a great dash looks a lot better

6:07 that is a Brisca f1 stock car they are a full contact motorsport run in the uk and Netherlands. I recommend you watch some racing out in the track. A track will never be more than an hour away, littered around the uk. We race at tracks in Bradford, Buxton, hednesford, Skegness, Ipswich, Great Yarmouth, kings Lynn, mildenhall. 2025 is looking to be a competitive year in brisca f1

I got 245/35/19 on my i30N 19x8 rims .. conti sport contact 7 s and they feel soft compared to the oe PS4s i had. Not as responsive

I still disagree with you on the GR Yaris on track. The GR Yaris lightly modified is faster than a 991.2 GT2RS on the right track (lots of turns without huge straights). When you say your Alpine is faster than modified GR Yaris's I'm sorry but that's just not possible. Maybe stock vs stock (I still doubt that) but there's absolutely no way when light mods are allowed. When I say light mods they are just the basic clubsport mods and not fully stripped race car mods. ua-cam.com/video/8ZK-LQ53gew/v-deo.html FYI the fastest GT2RS on this track runs a 1:50.xx and the Alpine A110 is at least 5-8 seconds slower. This GR Yaris driver is considered an amateur driver (but very good) and the Porsche driver is a Super Trofeo season champion in the PRO class, and even a driver like that doesn't set a faster time than the Yaris with clubsport mods. Not trying to have a go at you... just respectfully disagree.

Which generation yaris gr is better for a really bumpy road? I'm thinking of getting 1 and some of the roads in Malaysia can be worse than a typical British B-road.

A wonderful non rustable aluminium car but I suspect you'll be happier when it's out of warranty, so you won't have to pay £500 for an oil change and can do it yourself for about £50.

there is only one thing you can dislike about the A110...and that's the lack of a manual gearbox. Everything else can be overlooked and are in the category of small details anyway(aka, of little importance).

I think it’s so stupid to pay more money to some greedy person than what the manufacturer is asking for. If you can’t get your hands on a particular car, accept that you arrived too late to the party and move on. There are and will be plenty of amazing cars out there.

Two points I call BS on: 1) that you’ve driven hundreds of cars. There aren’t enough models out there to drive 200+ different models. 2) that the Alpine A110 is faster on track (and your words were “any” track). There are so many Alpines and GR Yaris where I am and there is absolutely no way an Alpine is faster ANYWHERE. Not touge, not b roads, not any track.

Commenting from Australia here - Continental SC7's are superb, best road tyre I've ever used in 31 years of driving.

I have driven both tyres on the same car and I have to agree with what you say, however the Conti SC7 do last a lot shorter when driven hard as compared to the PS4S
