Hello polly! I have a question. Whenever i do the spin stop, i naturally go into a plow stop and sometimes end up crashing. Do u have any advice . Love your videos ❤
I used the t-stop into a spin stop for the longest time before I finally figured out how to hockey stop. I still use the t-stop to scrub off speed when I am going really fast.
This is a great video Polly. Spin stops are fun at a slow speed. I like to do a toe roll pivot method too which is similar to the scissor method in your video.
Hi, Polly🤗 Is it safe to learn a spinstop with softboot fitness skates? I only have fitness skates and want to learn this stop. I hope it is possible on fitness skates even though they have less stability around the ankles
Dear Polly, do you have some video related with standstill exercises? Like... for improving balance and strength over a carpet or sth like that? I got my wrist twisted and maybe I would be out of rolling for a couple of months and I don't wanna waste time
I do method #3 all the time and it was an accident I learned very early in my skating when I slightly messed up my foot position and pressure on T stop after a few times of doing that I got pretty good at controlling the outcome into a spin stop even at a medium speed. Doing this a dozen times per skating session does put uneven wear on the back wheel that you pivot off of for me this is my left rear wheel most of the time. I am not as good doing a spin pivoting on my right dominant foot. When I rotate and measure the wear after about a week of skating the left #4 usually is 2 to 4 mm smaller than the other wheels and it has a more rounded profile.

Omgosh Omg yay!!! Makes me so happy this video helped you!!!!

It’s a fun one! 🎉
Thanks!
Thank you! I really needed this after falling twice while practicing the spin stop 😅
Amazing I will go try this right now!
I tried the first one and it worked!

Great video I know everything you showed here
Can you do a bio video about how you got into skating? 😊
Great video!!
Your a natural at skating

Helps a lot to have a rockered 5 wheel setup 😀
💯💯😄
You can totally do it on any skates tho, these were just more dramatic for the visuals 😁🙏🤙🫶

❤❤❤❤❤ Nice 👍👍🙂 thank you 🎉🎉
Welcome 😊🩵🤗
I’ve been practicing this a lot!! But for whatever reason I can turn to the left but I can’t do the spin stop to the right 🤣 More practice I guess
That makes sense! Most people can only go one way for a long while. You really have to decide to practice both directions. Keep going! 😄🤙🙏💚
