      @@pramitpratimdas8198 I think this is exactly why I freaking love Life is Strange. The name itself is saying it to you: the life is something that happens, and you are just one person in the middle of it. It is gonna be weird, dangerous, sad, happy, funny, boring, exciting... And it will be the same for everyone so, when you think THE ENTIRE WORLD is about you, well, it probably isn't.
      You need to understand it, to know everything and everyone exist in their own. You need to let things happen, you cant can't go back and change it or stop the time so the bad part never comes, because it is necesary for the rest of the good things to happen.

      I always wanted to break the 22m cycle for good, maybe because I am very accustomed to time travel loop desasters. Regarding the supernova. Actually we solve how to enter the eye before the supernova occurs, so the eye of the universe deletes the current universe together with the dying sun before it explodes. Temporarily seen you stopped the supernova - together with everything else.

    I love the impact the sun station has. That moment of realization that there's no machine prompting the end of your star that you can stop and the game gives you a few minutes in the station to process that fact. There are tons of great moments in this game but to me, that one is underappreciated. An answer you have been looking for since the beginning and the brutal silence that comes with understanding it.

      This is one of the main parts I watch for when someone else plays the game.
      Everything leading up to that is discovering the history of the Nomai and their search for the Eye, leading to the Ash Twin Project.
      It’s so obvious that you just need to deactivate the sun station and save yourself and all of your friends, because that’s what we do in video games.
      Then you get there.
      And find out that the Nomai have seemingly been dead for >200,000 years.
      And the sun is simply dying.
      And there’s nothing you can do.
      It’s such a powerful, humbling moment, and it always brings me right to the edge of tears.

    • @gabiruman
      @gabiruman 2 місяці тому +26

      @@hazamax2139 the funny thing is I didn't come to that realisation then. When I found out the sun station had failed, I thought the Interloper was the cause, then I watched it crash into the sun and I was sure I knew that was what was causing the sun to go supernova.
      Hell I didn't even realized the sun was dying on its own until a few days after I finished the game, I didn't read the tablets inside the Eye version of the observatory so I didn't get the summary of the story, and I was very confused for a while, then I started thinking about the game events and some stuff wasn't adding up so I started watching other people play and then it hit me.
      It's amazing how the order you discover events in this game can totally influence the way you perceive things.

      i seem to have had a different experience with the sun station to most people, but one that still resulted in similar feelings i think
      i found out very early in the game, from talking to chert near the end of a cycle, that all the stars in the universe were going supernova, so i kind of already knew the sun station wasnt the cause. but i still went there, clinging onto the hope that there was something i could still do. "maybe every star in the entire universe just also has its own sun station?" i thought to myself. the sun station *had* to have been involved somehow right?
      i already figured out what was going to happen at the sun station, but my desire to potentially save the universe still made me cling onto the hope that there was something i could do. i spent those few minutes in the sun station finally accepting something that the game put me into denial about, staring into the sun as it got bigger and bigger.

    I have a funny story about the end of the game. So, my first time playing, I didn't actually get the real ending, I just thought I beat the game. I never realized that I could go to the Eye etc, so what I did is that I just took the core and went to watch the Sun go supernova together with Chert. And then I stopped playing, thinking that I was just supposed to let the game be once I figured out what happened to the Nomai and the system.
    Only a year later when I watched someone else on UA-cam play the game and realized that I could actually get to the Eye, I stopped the video immediately not to spoil it for myself and then went and did it in the game finally (since you can literally beat the game in one loop if you know what to do). In a way I had two different endings to the game, the first time kind of just accepting the inevitable, and then the second time having that beautiful catharsis of starting a whole new universe.

    This piece of art here has done more to help me and countless others except death and our own mortality more than anything I can think of. The fact that it effects so many people reminds me that we are never alone going into that deep unknowable void. Who knows if we'll be a conscious observer of what is next, but i do believe there is a next no matter what. The rules may change, but as long as some sort of consciousnesses emerges there will be experiences and that is really what life is about. i loved how enthusiastic you were in throwing yourself into the immersion of the game and empathizing with all of the characters and their stories. also love that you didn't edit out your strong emotional reactions, and even kept in some discussions about them (particularly mentioning your anxiety and needing to take breaks). gaming isn't typically a space that welcomes emotional openness and vulnerability, so it's really cool to see more people who are willing to wear their hearts on their sleeves unapologetically. outer wilds is definitely a story that will demand extreme emotional intensity if you choose not to force a layer of dissociation between yourself and the experience of playing it, but that intensity is what ultimately builds the foundation for the unparalleled catharsis delivered by that final orchestral sting as the new universe is born. i'm glad to see another person who opened themself up to that experience so completely.

      I also tried to ride the black hole forge up to the top and I must say that is much harder than it looks. It is really easy to slide off of it and then your loop is basically over as you warp to white hole station. Also, would you believe that I had a slightly closer call with the warp to the eye? I didn't have any of the coordinates in when I heard the nova start and I only noticed that they were on screen a second or two later. I kept messing up the coordinates because I was so nervous and I made it just as I heard the supernova about to hit. I had to take a break for my own sake after that stress. For some reason it was the most high stakes moment in any game for me even though I could technically just come back next cycle but I think the finality of it all got to me in the best way. I love this game.

    its amazing how quickly you solved puzzles and asked the correct questions. Your intuition is scary and how easy it is for you to pick up on things. What always made it for me with this game was the fact that *everything* was right there in front of you, and it is only your curiosity that leads you instead of any quest markers that allows you to unveil the mysteries of the past that make it possible for a future to be built.
    The fact that all the Travelers play the same song at the same time is also a soul-crushing (in a positive sense) concept. Thank you for sharing with us!

      Nobody makes games like this. Something that is driven by the curiosity inside you that can only be experienced once. It's so selfless of a game Dev to make something like this. Truly pushed what the boundaries of this medium can do. I understand why some people can't get behind it but it's such a shame that we don't incentivize making more experiences like this.

    Outer Wilds is simply one of Those™ games. It's difficult to sell it to people without potentially ruining an experience. But what an exciting and emotional ride we all strap in for in the end. Coming to terms with the finality of it all and resolving to make it to the end anyway in order to go out in the Biggest Bang possible, after overcoming the fears and challenges presented on each planet you visited. Peak.

    In my own experience with this game, I only worked out the warp towers on Ash Twin long after I'd got the Eye coordinates and found the Vessel, and it's helped me realise something.
    Solving the warp towers early is seriously such a gamechanger for anyone's playthrough of this game, and it's hilarious that it has no notes in the Ship Logs. It's a big mental note, and helps contextualize a lot of the information you discover later. Obviously there's tons more to find elsewhere in the system, but Ash Twin is kind of the hub point to all of those discoveries.
    In other news, this video is incredible. I'll be watching through your experience with Echoes of the Eye as well.

    Everyone gets to enjoy this game differently, and i've watched at least 20 playthroughs to say this hahaha - But the best ones are those were the player connects with the ingame characters like you did all along, recognize their names, their relationships, and all. You noticed the small details, and that made things hit really hard every time you realized the many tragedies that are at play here. Also thanks for remembering Solanum is a 'she', I don't know why but it feels important to me ::) (noticed how Nomais have two genders, but Heartians only have 'they'? such a neat detail of worldbuilding)
    For the DLC, regarding how you reacted to some of the scary elements of the game, I suggest you enable "Reduced Freight" option right from the start (or wait until you realize why I say that if you prefer, hahaha). The DLC is absolutely awesome, but it gets quite scary. Can't wait to see more of your playthroughs!

      I think it's because she kept trying to match velocity instead of just relying on the initial momentum from the first jump to cross the gap. Everytime she stopped with match velocity, the Sun's gravity starts to win over her. Kinda interesting ngl because yeah, I never see anyone really struggle with this section lol.

    • @noelthemighty
      @noelthemighty 4 місяці тому

      @@sajhino Ohhhhhhh, is that what's happening? I saw Lil Indigestion do the same thing many times over. On the screen it looked like he's thrusting hard to the left and I couldn't understand why someone's instinct would be to de-orbit themselves like that. But maybe it's Match Velocity trying to match.... the sun, I guess?

    • @silphv
      @silphv 3 місяці тому

      @@noelthemighty Yeah it's to do with how orbits work, which is not intuitive. If you're orbiting you actually have to have the right velocity pointing tangential to your orbit (if the thing you're orbiting disappeared suddenly, you'd go flying at a tangent to the circle like a rock from a catapult). If your relative velocity is zero then you just start falling straight down. (When she was velocity matching to the sun station itself, she could mostly stay in place, but the correct speed depends on the radius of the orbit, so dipping below the center of mass of the sun station at all then means that velocity is too slow and you start drifting down.

    • @silphv
      @silphv 3 місяці тому

      It also means if you get too close to the sun or something else you don't want to hit, it's actually way more effective to accelerate sideways and try to slingshot around the side of it, rather than accelerate directly away. The more tangential speed you have, the more the gravitational pull goes to orbital motion instead of falling motion (in perfect orbit all of it or nearly all becomes orbital motion, the force is always pulling at a right angle to the velocity all the way around). You can also slingshot around stars to gain speed for free (without spending fuel, in a realistic scenario where fuel is a thing)

    • @noelthemighty
      @noelthemighty 3 місяці тому

      @@silphv Yeah i understand the orbital dynamics here.
      I think the issue here is Becca is pressing match velocity, expecting it to match the sun station, but because the station isn't targeted, it actually matches the sun's velocity. That means thrusting hard to the left to slow her angular momentum.
