When I was on the far left, I was sick, obese, with blue hair and piercings in my face. I was absolutely unattractive. I have found since becoming more conservative, and embracing my more natural features, losing the weight, going back to my natural hair color and growing it out, etc- I look a LOT better.
When I was on the left I was slightly overweight and addicted to multiple drugs, truly amazing what a new perspective can do for you

People need to have a family.
Almost as if having a family is a physiological necessity for happiness, would also go a long way to explain why many men feel lost in today's society.
Just don't have facial piercings and pointless tattoos everywhere.
Even if you take the "my body is a canvas" approach, it doesn't mean you should treat it like an alleyway.
I've been around long enough to realize this truth. When you have a good attitude, when you're not being angry or easily offended, when you can laugh at funny things, you don't need cakes of makeup or revealing clothes, you're already beautiful.
I mean, this is only true when you compare American Conservatives with American Liberals.
Go to Scandinavia, specifically Denmark, in which the country is by far liberal, people are overall healthier than Americans; Scandinavian women are way hotter than American women (no offense, but let’s be honest) and the people there are literally the happiest people in the world. For like.. how many years in a row now?
I mean, but we are discussing AMERICA. Also, googled Scandinavian women, gorgeous, agreed; AND they remind me of the women from NC. We are getting less happy in America as we move away from traditional values, and dating with no intention of anything. Men are doing a lot of one night stand promises.
@bluesh0es well, in Denmark the meaning of being a "liberal" is A LOT less extreme than in America, so I don't really think you can compare it, since the way we do politics in Denmark is in a very different way than how they do it in the US 🤷♀️

I think a big part of our happiness stems from a deeply rooted idea that no one gets left behind and a general lack of judgement.
An argument could be made that our way of doing politics has shaped the way we think - or perhaps it is the other way around? Our lack of an adversarial system is probably a big factor. Moving away from religion and the insane judgement that is rooted therein definitely plays a part.
We also have what I would call “true” freedom. Our system takes away a lot of our worries, especially financially, these are all liberal principles, which allow for a more care free life and thus more freedom to go do what we truly enjoy. In contrast to the US wherein people can do whatever they want except because of the economy.. they cannot. We have created true opportunity for everyone here. They do not have a lot of opportunities in the US.
Notice the difference when you ask “what do you do?” We typically respond with our hobbies instead of our work, and in my experience, more often than not, they are the same thing. In the US they are defined by their work. What they (and thus who they are) is their jobs. Quite significant.

Smiling amiably probably raises attractiveness 20% in either gender. If you exercise, you likely realize that some things that affect your mood are within your control. I think the left/right differ in terms of views on agency and locus of control (evaluate things more in terms of cultural tides - which might create a skew towards being disempowered). So beyond the uniform of being bohemian (and needing people to know it), there might be reasons for leftists to be sourly unsmiling, anxious, anaemic or sallow.
Attractiveness would favor being vital and loving life. Dating someone where you're saddled with making sure they take ALL of their antidepressants might not appeal. Same with the prospect of someone incapable of having a conversation that doesn't involve Karl Marx, deconstruction or Edward Said. Constantly running around screaming the 'the world is on fire' seems like a lot of drama.

I recently moved to Northern Idaho from Oregon and it is so refreshing to see so many young families out and about. I swear I almost never saw that in Oregon. I work at a thrift store and I swear some days all the Mom's are out and about with all their little babies. They're all so cute.

For the most part I'm on the right (conservative) because I choose to live in the real world and not in lala-land. I see things for what they are. People have forgotten the difference between what's right and what's wrong. You don't see other animals having an identity crisis or killing their own young unless it's for their own survival. Married almost 20 years, 5 kids, I lift weights and my wife does calisthenics, plus we run together (leaving for a 5k race soon).
In our early 40s and we feel and look great and love our kids.

This is Off topic but, The Court System needs to be fixed.
I don’t know enough about the court system to say you’re wrong but I put more blame on the people upholding the court system rather then the system itself but I guess it could be another chicken or the egg situation, is the system so flawed that the ppl are making bad decisions or are the ppl making bad decisions and saying it’s the system?
Most definitely. You want to see something scary, go look up Shalena Cook Jones in Chatham county. She refuses to prosecute cases. They have thousands of cases backlogged as far back as when the pandemic first started in 2020. For all the attention Fanni Willis gets, Cook Jones is much worse and is being groomed to be Willis’s replacement

Yeah, I think conservatives miss the point because affordability is a major issue. Even conservatives are having less or no kids. If people can't even afford a house, how can they have a kid? I guess you can cram kids into a 700sq ft apartment, but is that a valuable and enriching experience for a child? The map she showed is more of a map about home affordability than anything.
I'm in a similar boat. If people have a love and drive to have children, please go for it! For some people, children are a blessing. And for some people, such as myself, I have no desire to have children. I find it very disheartening that so many on the right have this narrative that your life will only be fulfilled with having lots of kids. It's like being back in middle school with kids trying to pressure you to do something just because _they_ think it's great. Parenthood isn't for everyone, and those who choose not to forgo that path shouldn't be thought of being unfulfilled. There's a plethora of reasons why people choose not to have children.

I'm a conservative I dated a guy who wasn't a liberal, but had left leaning views and policies and I gained a lot of weight in the relationship because I felt secure in the wrong way possible. He said he didn't mind chubby women but preferred skinny women or both? which kinda made me let myself go because I felt secure after hearing that. After I broke up w him, I was at 124 and now i'm at 108 and still counting down i'm 4'9'' so 124 is overweight for me, I feel a lot happier and healthier and i've been taking care of my personal hygiene more. i'm not blaming him i'm blaming myself for used to having a weak mind. Now if someone says they don't mind chubby women i'm gonna get mad at them.
So happy I was born from immigrant parents and grew up at church, good chore values established for even what ever Ive been trough, dame for choosing partner or friends, praise the lord
I have been homeless for many years in life prior to getting HUD for the first time ever. I finally got a chance to get skills training and I have brain damage. I love a lot of what @brettcooper says on her shows and I agree a lot with because being conservative with values and resources is important. With a disability and not much money and not being able to be hired at places because of severe brain damage, MONEY is a big sign of if you will have a family, if you will stability, and money dictates who will even hire you or not. I do believe in the American values and dreams but it's hard when no one looks your direction and see the value of adding you to a job or a permanent place to live, etc.
Yup. Being grateful and humble to God for everything you have, results in a heart that loves Charity and kindness, Forgiveness, and Mercy to all Men.
But Being Un grateful and arrogant to God, results in hating what you have. which results in envying and coveting every one else's good things. AKA, calling every one privileged.

Yes!! I’m not gorgeous or anything lol, but I work out and try and eat healthy homemade meals that I make myself or my sweet husband does! We have 2 kids with one on the way. And we’re only 25! Truly I feel so blessed and I feel like I just glow.

Adhering to traditions, stability, and organization; such values of Conservatism offer safety and consistency for both people and the community. But when overdone, it may obstruct change, become inflexible, or exclude some individuals.
On the flip side, Liberalism is based on freedom, equality, and progress among other things. This can create an atmosphere where new ideas are born; foster social justice as well as promote independence at personal level. Nevertheless if much emphasis is laid on individual freedoms without considering social responsibility or common good; it can result into disorderliness which lacks unity with disregard for vital societal institutions.
The connection between happiness, healthier, hotter, and either conservatism or liberalism cannot be determined generally because what makes one person happy, good health and hotter, may not necessarily work for another within the same political ideology. It is therefore important to appreciate different views rather than assume that our beliefs are always right in relation to happiness.
Well both have a strength and weaknesses. Well what you guys think? Well guys are you having a good life in this situation that being conservative or a being liberal? Or you being a good life on your own?

@@omotayosatuyi252 It does actually, Conservatives tend to have stronger values and are more disciplined, which can equate to better habits that contribute to your physical appearance such as exercising, getting more sleep, skincare, better diet, etc. I encourage you to do some research on the topic before blindly commenting "this dumb makes no sense"... But overall, conservatives tend to be more disciplined and exhibit habits that contribute to a having a better physical appearance. There will obviously be outliers, as with any set of data.

When I was growing up my mama put us outside and we were out there all day. In school we had PE class and in elementary school we had play time and played on the monkey bars, the slide and was active. We didn't have our faces in iPads and laptops and things of that nature. We learn things in school not all this BS that they're teaching now. I'm called old school but old school works
I'm glad none of those are gatekeeping, only tendencies. I'd call myself conservative-minded for the most part, but I have no plans to ever have kids. It has nothing to do with the environment, though.

Seriously! I’m more left leaning and believe in taking care of one’s health (just not starving oneself to do it). I have no problem with people wanting to have children or get married (just not the government forcing to do it for the sake of the population). This video represents the same lies I was told by my conservative family and community growing up, but most people on the left are not this extreme.

I’m more moderate myself though I’d say farther left than right. This so so subjective there’s no argument. The conservative Internet personalities are all going to be good looking… because they’re Internet personalities. I’m from rural Ohio, deeply conservative area, and obesity is everywhere. Meth is everywhere. Conservatives tattooed and pierced all over. Low income. Welfare. Wealthier areas have healthier people. Politics have little to do with it.
We (whether you mean the US or the world as a whole) are objectively not in a population decline (1:09 mark). Population decline means the POPULATION is decreasing (which it isn't). It does not mean THE RATE OF INCREASE is slowing down, which is what I assume you're basing that claim on. Defining it in the latter way is just as scummy as when politicians claim they've reduced the budget when in reality they've only reduced its rate of increase marginally. Don't be scummy.
I feel like a disappointment to conservatives since I struggle with low self esteem, depression, and anxiety plus I’m not outgoing or attractive 😢

It is so tiring to hear people on the right say that those on the left hate families, don't want to marry, don't exercise, blah blah. That they hate Holidays. That they are 'woke' - oh please let's let that tired old word die. Etc.
I have always been a democrat. I am also married and have been for many years. I am a grandmother so obviously I have had kids. My family has always done Holidays.
While I am not religious I don't hate mainstream religion. I just feel exteme religion is something that should not be mainstream. And separation of Church and State should stand. I am a history buff and care about our long term foundation with the running of this country like separation of Church and State. And not messing with the Constitution as Trump is thinking of doing.
I also find the right's fantasy of America being a Christain Nation odd. Our founding fathers were not traditional Christians but, actually most were Deists. It has similarities to Christianity but, also beliefs are different in other ways. I suggest googling this. But, yes, it is true about most of the founding fathers.
I never hated the right. At least until recent times. For many years Republicans were a mainstream political party. They worked with democrats and many were friends across the aisle. Neither side demonized the other. Made them to be evil. But, both sides were politicians who went home, had town halls, worked with small businesses and the local clubs like the rotary club, etc. And things worked very well in this country. We did very well.
Then certain oligarchs and think tanks got together and decided to change the Republican Party and remade it. No longer allowed to compromise. Suddenly democrats were evil. then this nonsense about democrats hating families and marriage. Hating everyday life. All to gin up votes. With Fox it became gospel. Fox and talk radio demanded fealty of the politicians and demanded they hate certain groups and the other side.
Our country stopped running well and we are falling behind. We cannot get anything positive done. because the republicans began the demonizing and the democrats wanted to get back.
This. nonsense of are conservatives better looking? Please. Good looking people exist on both sides. Both sides have healthy people and those who work out. Both sides have positive and upbeat people and depressed people. People on both sides love to laugh. Go to the beach. Have a picnic. Cookout. Shop. Go to stylists. Go on trips.
Both sides care about their kids education. The left just feels the whole teachers, etc. are trying to make your boy a girl, or fill the kid's head with sex, or turn kids gay, etc. it such a political ploy designed to freak out their supporters and its another bogus 'let's scare them' silliness. Only Teachers, who work hard, do a good job, teach normal things and don't do nefarious things to your child are getting hurt and scapegoated. As well as innocent librarians. That is wrong.
My great wish is for the republicans to go back to being normal like they were before. Go back to at least the 80s. There are a lot of democrats who wish this and for the right to come out of their Trump daze and see the real Trump. He is a bad man. Not because he is republican or anything else like that. It is that he is really a bad man.

This has everything to do with environment. I live in rural Ohio. Very conservative population. And the obesity epidemic has hit this area extremely hard. Most people are not healthy and most are not happy. In fact it’s difficult to live here because it’s full of miserable people.

It all comes down to selfishness. They avoid anything that requires either responsibility or effort, all in the name of what they consider 'personal freedom'.
I'm a conservative single father of 4 girls, and despite the absolute hell of living in a blue state, I've never regretted my choices to have children or to BE conservative. Looking at the types of people stating that they 'live for themselves', I've never been more confident that I've made the right choice. It's blatantly insane that the things they condemn are what makes life worth living.
But as always, we appreciate the free marketing ;-)

I'm not either nutjob, liberal or conservative, I'm myself, I don't live my life according to some political nonsense. I also eat good, exercise daily, in perfect health and raised with values that carried over as an adult. People obsessed with politics is what makes them unattractive.
Lol. I was center left my whole life while I was fat. I got fit in my late 30s and ended up center right after my glow up. There might be something to this.

I'm really flabbergasted, I guess that's the most appropriate word to use for how I feel, at how so many conservative people stumble upon these kind of liberals. I have many liberals friends and relatives, but none of them exhibited signs of so much hatred as the ones I'm stumbling upon this channel. They also never invalidated my more conservative views (a lot of them are from the city, I'm from a village) and even when we disagreed, we never hated each other.
This content exposed me to so much radicalism, I'm grateful I never had to experience such thoughtless behaviour from these individuals.
Maybe consider that this channel has a vested interest in making up a strawman about the left? It will obviously pick the most extreme examples and make you think that the zeitgeist of the clip is mainstream among liberals.

As a fat who is working out more, taking my holy girl walks and the last time I went to planet a girl with purple hair and face piercings told me , a fat, that I was entitled, shallow and fat phobic because I walked out the shower stall in a towel and she can’t do that… I believe we entered the twilight zone.
We had less people in the 1980s, and we all got along way better.
