@@k-fsh The cloud 2 plugs into the ps5 controller just fine so I think the 3 is the same. I actually plug the long wire with USB into the front of the ps5, that way you can use the 5.1 surround, but, if you're not sitting near the ps5 yes, it has the 3.5mm to go directly into the controller.

I really tried to like the EPOS H6PRO. I tried to get used to it until the end, even exceeding the one-week refundable period, and even tried to get more gain by connecting it to a HyperX Cloud 2 USB sound card, but the slightly artificial sound was annoying to my ears. Of course, it's not an artificial sound, but to my ears, certain parts sound unnatural and somewhat annoying. I ended up giving it to my friend's son as a birthday present. I've tried many headsets, but for me, connecting the Alpha to the HyperX Cloud 2 sound card still provides the best sound. Unfortunately, these days, Reddit, where ordinary people share reviews, is more trustworthy than UA-cam. But I still think your channel is the most fair review channel. I like your review videos
For wireless headsets the Maxwell is definitely the best one I've tried so far. When I'm on pc though, I use the VZR Model one and it's definitely the best wired headset I've used so far, Especially paired with a Game DAC. I only use the Maxwell with my consoles and it's fantastic for that.

I've been using RIG 500 Pro for about 2 years, gave my old set to my wife and ordered a new set of the same only Gen 2 version. Simple changes gen1 to gen 2 but very light weight and good clam pressure. But the sound. With partial open ear design, they offer some of the best audible ranges and clarity that I've personally heard with my ears for gaming headsets. Very worth the money and was able to get the gen 2's for like 60 on Amazon recently, which was cheaper than my previous pair. now, I also know hearing is very subjective. Each person needs to hear a headset and wear it for themselves. That said I'd say most people will probably find the RIG versions of gaming headsets pretty usable and very durable. My first pair still look new and even the ear cups are still in very good condition. The mic on the Gen 2 is detachable as well as the cord for connecting to the PC. Its not proprietary either, if you have any Male to Male 4 pole cable it will work. Mic also mutes when either removed or rotated up. I've not personally used the mic so can't qualify its clarity or noise cancel ability as I use a Tonor transducer style on a mic boom. The adjustability of the RIG was a little off putting at first glance however, they offer 3 adjustment points. You remove the ear piece entirely and place it into one of those 3 slots and with the comfort band not being part of the actual clamp bar, it sets very well without issue on the top of your head. RIG also offers pretty inexpensive replacement parts should you need them. I carried my first pair in a backpack nearly daily for the first year and as stated before, they are still in nearly new condition. Edit: FOrgot to mention. They offer Dolby Atmos as well with them, as a free download app for windows if using on a PC. Really super rich 7.1 surround sound style audio for gaming or movies.
Idk, this sounds like an ad more than a review or even an opinion. The headset only has a few reviews and it looks very gamer-ish, not saying these don't but the quality looks subpar. Just my opinion of course.
Honorable mentions below. - Turtle Beach Stealth Pro. Sound quality and feature wise it should easily be over the Cloud III. However, the launch price of $330 is ridiculous considering the other options on the market. It's not the best at any category, so I can't justify telling someone to drop that much money on the Stealth Pro when the Pro X 2 and Maxwell exist. - Astro A40. Another device that I personally would pick over the Cloud III. However, with the PC38X dropping in price, I found it to be redundant on this list. They have a similar EQ curve, but the PC38X has more detail and the bass has even more impact. Power handling at max volume is a bit suspect on the PC38X though if you use an amp. The A40 also can't touch the Cloud III in terms of comfort and microphone audio quality stock, but it gets close with the Mod Kit. - SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro. This thing does well in terms of detail in the highs and upper mids, but that's it. The H6PRO is a straight up better choice for those who like that sound signature but without completely punting on the lower mids and bass. The H6PRO is still very light in the lows compared to the rest of the top 5, but it actually tries - unlike the Nova Pro.

ive had the pc38x for some time now and id recommend them to anyone. i will say that sometimes the sound will leak out of the headphones and into the mic but there are ways to fix that with software. another note is that the clamping force was only uncomfortable for a couple weeks, if that. now they are the most comfortable headphones ive ever had.

@@jasonwelge6522 not really. i just make sure to have the input volume in discord all the way up and the volume in my gigabyte audio software all the way up. other than that im not sure what might be different
I've had the PC38X since about a month after they released, and they've lasted this long. I've only added a hook and loop section to the head pad so i can remove it for cleaning, as i do with the ear pads. Actually the most durable headset i've ever had. I also don't have any creaking issues.
I have the earlier version that was the Sennheiser Game One before EPOS got involved. As I understand it there are some differences in the drivers but I have been using them for 8 years. If they are still built the same way, they feel flimsy but hold up.
@@rolandk2403 The response is the easiest to EQ to neutral on the PC38X and comes better out of the box. The stock, preinstalled sporty-textured earpads also dilute the muddiness of the velour earpads. The sound stage of the 38X compared to the 37X and One is noticeably better. I got the One for my daughter.
HyperX Cloud Alpha S Never want anything else. Great sound, comfort for all day use, and the mic...everyone on my TS and discord say i sound like im in the room with them.

Question for pc do I have to go buy a separate microphone and a headset together to go and be able to talk to people, or can I buy a headset alone that already comes with a mic attached to and it’ll work fine without a microphone?
You can buy a headset alone without getting a separate microphone. If it's one of the USB wired or 2.4 GHz wireless + USB dongle ones, it's basically plug and play. Easy. If it's wired 3.5 mm, you might have to use a splitter cable though. The headsets that need those come with one in the box anyway.
Hello, I want to buy a logitech g pro x. I actively use hyperx cloud alpha s but I don't have a sound barrier. Their sound is very low. Do you think I should buy the logitech g pro x or hyperx cloud 3 wirrles?
sennheiser(epos) taking spots 2 and 3. made the switch to them from turtle beach probably close to 10 years ago. wont buy anything else now. the neutral sound and wide soundstage is really hard to beat for the price range of each lineup. the drop hd58x are great.
Man my first watching video from you i love how the way you explaind everything from the headphone and the editing video is damn 🔥 please continue this kind of video double thumbs up
Yeah I reviewed it. I think it's way overpriced for the headphone audio quality. The build is decent though and the mic is above average. The best part of the headset is really the software, but you can use Sonar with any headset now.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews thank you for the comment! I’m on PS5 so I guess I miss out on Sonar. Do you think it’s better now with all the updates since you reviewed you a year ago?
Went from Logitech g pro x (broke after a year) to a Beyerdynamic dt770 pro, massive improvement in sound quality. Got no mic, but those on headsets always sound bad (g pro x was ok). thhe dt770 pro are build like a tank (made in germany) and very comfortable on the head even after unhealthy amounts of playtime. And music is also a joy to listen to, just eq the highs a bit lower, turn up the low base and this thing purrs.
Not better. It's a different sound, but they both have great detail. The Cloud III soundstage sounds a bit wider, but I wouldn't say either is better for FPS.
How is the Cloud 3's 2.4GHz connect reliability and latency compared to the X2? I ask since Lightspeed seems like a standard everyone weighs everything else against.
Great review, seems you value the audiences time no fluff just straight review. I half expected it to be a generic video with a bot voice, like the other top 5 gaming headset videos.
Just received my maxwell a few days ago and so far. They sound very good and very similar, if a little better, than my hyperx cloud orbit. My teammates say the mic is much better than my orbits. The ear cushions aren’t my favorite on the maxwells, they’re quite shallow and my ears touch the drivers. I will be upgrading with the wicked cushions replacement.😊
I would absolutely recommend!! They sound so good, they make gaming so immersive. I did upgrade to the gel cushion winched cushions and they’re deeper and my ears no longer brush the inside of the drivers. But they are legitimately incredible. I feel I have an advantage in competitive games when I’m wearing them
@@chancethornton6321could you throw me a link for the cushions? I'm between the Audeze and Blackshark V2 2023, since I've got some Razer equipment already. I think I might pull the trigger on the Audezes, unless I end up going for a desktop 🎙️
Audeze Maxwell has a design flaw for PC users. Every time it is powered off, it will remove itself from the Windows audio device table. Apps like Discord and games don't like it when you remove their selected audio devices. This also means that Windows will immediately select different valid audio devices. The headset reinstalls itself in Windows on reconnect and will immediately takeover as your default device as well, even if you don't want it to. It's also worth mentioning that the wireless dongle and the USB wired connection are seen as two separate devices entirely, with two channels each (one for "game" and one for "chat"). Not acceptable for anyone who wants to control their audio setup.
you kept bringing up using them simultaneously, do you know any headsets that can do that? im looking for one i can use on my work laptop and personal pc at the same time lol (at least for listening, i dont need 2way input)
@@Nossody Stealth Pro is the best choice of those. Penrose has better audio, but not as comfortable and bad build quality. Probably deserves to be on this top 5, but I couldn't justify the price to performance. But it's super versatile and the dual wireless works really well.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews thank you though, ill check em out. im sure hyperx cloud alphas atm and theyre nice and ive only charged them 2 times in the 2 months ive had them, but cant do simultaneous audio soo
Sorry for the late reply. The Maxwell are amazing for the headphone audio and features but they definitely have issues in terms of the comfort. Namely they're way too heavy and clamp a bit too much.
@@StarofRedemption I'm not super competitive, so most of my games are story driven, and both are great for them. For online shooters like Fortnite and COD, really either one are good for me.

I've had the Sennheiser Game One headset for many years. It's the same headset as the p38x for the most part. It has lasted forever, tossed in bags, crushed and smashed, no idea how it hasn't broken. I wish there was a wireless version.
hard to answer every question i respect that, if you see that, can you help between cloud 2 vs cloud 3 for gaming and live streaming (CS2-PUBG MOBILE-VALORANT) ?
Which headphones are the easiest to determine the exact position of the enemy in FPS like Pubg, Warzone, CS? I have a Sennh HD569 that I want to change to a closed back. They have a problem. I often simply don’t understand from which side the shot came. When I am sitting inside a house and an enemy is running towards me, I also often cannot help determine whether he is running to my left or to my right, I cannot determine whether he is running from above through the entrance on the roof or running from below from the main entrance. I just hear a sound approaching, but sometimes it’s not clear which direction it’s coming from. I was going to try the Beyerdynamic Mmx300 or Epos h6pro, but I saw a lot of reviews that they are also bad at determining from which direction enemy steps are heard. Besides the fact that the h6pro itself has a very terrible sound that looks like porridge and is not suitable for music, movies, or games, that it does everything terribly with its sound quality... Maybe it makes sense to take the classic HD600 /650 for games or is it still better to choose gaming models to determine steps?
I still have my cloud ii wireless which I love. My next headset would likely be the logitechs but my main issue for headsets is accommodation of my ears which stick out
Hi, great qualitative video for choosing your gaming headset. I have a few questions, where do you place the Astro A40 tr in your comparison, is it still your favorite headset for fps. Could you test the MMX 300 Gen 2? And what is the difference between the Sennheiser HD 560s and the PC38X?
Whats the best headset for PS5 for Warzone to hear those footsteps better and also to be able to change the EQ. Astro a40 with mixamp, H6 or steelseries arctis 7p or what would u suggest ?( price range 250-300) ??
I’d avoid PC38X imo I’ve owned for about a year and a half and midway through listening one day it dropped its guts. Muffled distorted glitchy static sound I’ve seen threads where others have issues like this. Tried cables drivers nothing just 💩the bed
I find almost budget headsets don’t get loud enough I don’t care about detail, I do care about volume I want to hear what people are saying when I watch movies (I can’t use my speakers because of roommates) But yeah does anyone have recommendations for the lowest price yet loud enough headset?

TY man
I've had the PC38X since about a month after they released, and they've lasted this long.
HyperX Cloud Alpha S
Never want anything else. Great sound, comfort for all day use, and the mic...everyone on my TS and discord say i sound like im in the room with them.
Ive seen plenty of headphones from my time. Using a razer headset, to logitech pro x to hyperx cloud 3. Gonna be picking up hyperx cloud 3 for me and my wife. Thank you so much for so much detail for these reviews of the headphones!
Witch one would you recommend? I am about to get the cloud III but considering between it and the logitech pro x.
With playing on Xbox, is the H6PRO still a good choice? Or does it really matter since connecting the headset to the 3.5mm jack on the controller?
Is the #1 and #2 worth 3x or 4x more than the Cloud III? I seriously doubt that.
I only care which is the most comfortable. Which of them will it be?
Cloud III
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Thx!
That would vary from person to person.
I like that this video start straight away ❤

Just discovered your channel and you're underrated man. I know nothing about audiophile stuff but you make it easy to follow and I'll deffo follow your reccomendations.
I swear people should do a mic test so we can hear how the mic sounds compare to the mic he is using now
Hello, I want to buy a logitech g pro x. I actively use hyperx cloud alpha s but I don't have a sound barrier. Their sound is very low. Do you think I should buy the logitech g pro x or hyperx cloud 3 wirrles?
Thanks for adding the mic comparisons. Very helpful video
Can you pause/play videos on the headset directly with the HyperX Cloud?
The Pc38x mic can be cleaned up immediately with a pop filter…just buy a big one as it’s a girthy mic
sennheiser(epos) taking spots 2 and 3. made the switch to them from turtle beach probably close to 10 years ago. wont buy anything else now. the neutral sound and wide soundstage is really hard to beat for the price range of each lineup. the drop hd58x are great.
Great video!! Very informative!
I’ve been looking at top 5 headsets list for sometime now but this bud was the best one 🙌thanks 👍
Audeze Maxwell mic sounds great
Man my first watching video from you i love how the way you explaind everything from the headphone and the editing video is damn 🔥 please continue this kind of video double thumbs up
Which one of these would you say is the best for music? not including the maxwell
How do the Astro A40 compare to this list?
Have you tried the Arctis Nova Pro? Thoughts?
3:06 Putting game immersion aside, is the G Pro X 2 better than the Cloud 3 where situational awareness for competitive FPS play is concerned?
I half expected it to be a generic video with a bot voice, like the other top 5 gaming headset videos.
epos h6pros have been great for me tbh no sound complaints
Just received my maxwell a few days ago and so far. They sound very good and very similar, if a little better, than my hyperx cloud orbit. My teammates say the mic is much better than my orbits. The ear cushions aren’t my favorite on the maxwells, they’re quite shallow and my ears touch the drivers. I will be upgrading with the wicked cushions replacement.😊
Hey man since youve had them for a while now whats your opinion should I buy them?
Great review straight to the point, thank you.
Hey there! I really appreciate the mic demonstrations! They helped me choose whichever one I can decide between so thank you
you kept bringing up using them simultaneously, do you know any headsets that can do that? im looking for one i can use on my work laptop and personal pc at the same time lol (at least for listening, i dont need 2way input)
Bluetooth + 2.4 GHz simultaneous right?
Turtle Beach Stealth Pro, Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max, Audeze Penrose (not Maxwell), SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews awesome, which would you suggest? Money isnt really a problem
@@Nossody Stealth Pro is the best choice of those. Penrose has better audio, but not as comfortable and bad build quality.
Probably deserves to be on this top 5, but I couldn't justify the price to performance. But it's super versatile and the dual wireless works really well.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews oh ya those bad boys aint cheap. I havent used turtlebeaches since the ole xbox 360 days
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews thank you though, ill check em out. im sure hyperx cloud alphas atm and theyre nice and ive only charged them 2 times in the 2 months ive had them, but cant do simultaneous audio soo
Not sure if i missed it, but which is superior in purely footsteps audio/imaging? PC38x or H6pro?
I have the razor blacksharks. Are the maxwells that great?
Sorry for the late reply. The Maxwell are amazing for the headphone audio and features but they definitely have issues in terms of the comfort. Namely they're way too heavy and clamp a bit too much.
for competitive fps games, do u think the maxwell are better than h6 pro, and if they are better, do u think the price difference is worth?
I have both the PC38X and the Maxwell. Just 2 awesome headsets!!
Which do you prefer for shooter or competitive games?
@@StarofRedemption I'm not super competitive, so most of my games are story driven, and both are great for them. For online shooters like Fortnite and COD, really either one are good for me.
Best reviews on UA-cam hands down and such a chill guys aswell. You're my number one for audio peripherals and webcams.
Keep going, fam! ☃️🎄 Merry Christmas!
I've had the Sennheiser Game One headset for many years. It's the same headset as the p38x for the most part. It has lasted forever, tossed in bags, crushed and smashed, no idea how it hasn't broken. I wish there was a wireless version.
Is cloud 3 good on PlayStation?
Thanks for making this video; it was really helpful!
This is how you review headsets! Thanks man!!
Where do u rank the byerdynamic mmx300 and the new mmx 200?
I have the Audeze Maxwell, outstanding headphones.
Is h6 pro better than cloud alpha and other gaming headset ? I want clear footsteps and sound separation in pubg.
For footsteps and sound separation specifically, yes. I think the H6PRO only loses out to the Maxwell in that department.
Holy shit just STRAIGHT into it love it bro
thanks for the review mann
How do you feel about the Pulse 3Ds?
number one made u sound like morgan freeman 10 out of 10 to me
Oh shoot we are getting straight into it okay (not complaining)
Very well made video!! Thank you!
hard to answer every question i respect that, if you see that, can you help between cloud 2 vs cloud 3 for gaming and live streaming (CS2-PUBG MOBILE-VALORANT) ?
Beyerdynamic mmx 300 not good? It's now on sale at Amazon for €222
Worth it or not?
Just ordered the PC38X. Can't wait to try it out
How is it?
Audeze Maxwell vs vzr model one. Thoughts?
Which headset is best for Xbox, for Warzone ?
I’d avoid PC38X imo I’ve owned for about a year and a half and midway through listening one day it dropped its guts. Muffled distorted glitchy static sound I’ve seen threads where others have issues like this. Tried cables drivers nothing just 💩the bed
I find almost budget headsets don’t get loud enough
I don’t care about detail, I do care about volume
I want to hear what people are saying when I watch movies
(I can’t use my speakers because of roommates)
But yeah does anyone have recommendations for the lowest price yet loud enough headset?
Mobile gaming like PUBG which one is better Logitech gpro x or hyperx cloud iii ?
Pro X 2 > Cloud III > Pro X 1
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews thanks 😊
Is the gpro x 2 worth it?
@@desousa. if your budget is $250 yes, but if you can spend a little more, the Maxwell is better.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Thank you for this!
Would you still recommend the cloud alphas today or there is something better at about the same price range?
If you can still find it for less than $80 or so it's still a great choice. If it costs more than that, I'd go for the Astro A40.
Heres a question, how would they compare to 3rd party usb soundcard with 3mm jack and using decent quality headset such as sony wh-1000xm3?
You ever play Tarkov, if so, which headset do you recommend?
Hyper x headphones are amazing for music, fps games and TPS games.
I don't use the mic, cause I own a gaming mic.
Are you able to hear the direction of footsteps with the epos h6pro or would you need the sound card in order to get 7.1 surround sound
