► Things my patients have found helpful:
Please note that I get a lot of requests and questions about what equipment is ‘best’ for treating a variety of conditions. The following is not meant to be an exhaustive or definitive list. Please use it as a starting point. If you have questions, please discuss with your healthcare provider. With that said, I have tried a number of the products below, but not all. I have included some based on positive feedback from many of my patients. As an Amazon Associate, Dr Peng earns from qualifying purchases. High quality home LED panels are effective just as professional laser treatments are. The primary difference is the intensity and focus of the light, which is higher with laser devices, so they can be effective is significantly less time. However, LED home devices can produce similar results with longer sessions, although, no more than 20 min 5x per week is recommended.
Can you recommend a few?
@@lancer717 I have Mito panels and I like them a lot. They are well built and have powerful output. I have no experience with other brands.
is it good for knee on knee arthurits
Dr Peng is the red light therapy the same as the bluelight therapy. Dr Peng can you please help me. Based on my MRIs. I have osteophytes in my knees, shoulder and lumbar spine and in pain. Presently, I am taking Boswellia Serrata and Tylenol .
Can this help with biceps tendinitis?..I have a lot of scarring of the long head tendon and am running out of options..
Please I need recommendation for devices for my son s brain damage. Global anoxic while in hospital one year ago. Thank you!!!🙏🙏🙏
Can I use this after PrP?
Dr. Peng, is red light therapy used on knee arthritis safe to be used by a person who has an ICD?
Do you recommend the use of red light therapy and/or boswellia when administered a PRP or stem cells to a joint or tendons?
Do it. Red light heals and boosts cells.
very nice thank you
Guys, I have to share my experience here. Red light therapy legit changed my life! 🌟 I struggled with knee arthritis for years. Then I started using a panel from Future Form Official, and oh boy, what a difference! The pain reduced significantly, and I could feel the inflammation going down. Plus, it's such a good price! I'm so glad I found your channel. You are so real and so good at explaining health issues. Keep up the awesome work!
Would it be beneficial to use red light therapy in conjunction with PRP injections? Or would they conflict with each other?
I dont know at the same time, but go do prp i has 4 injections and it make the shoulder cartilage much better. I cannot look into the shoulder but i feels like the cartilage healed from this, before my shoulder was only cracking and make pain
Can an At-Home red light therapy pad be used after a PRP injection?
Is it safe to use if you have had knee and hip replacements?
I’m using it now on my newly replaced knee, the results have been very positive!
Ty I get red light after for recovery from pickleball…..would like your take on cryotherapy……is one better than the other? Ty
They both work synergistically
How deep can the therapy effectively penetrate into muscles professional vs at-home versions?
It depends on the wavelengths and intensity (wattage) of the light and the many different devices available vary widely in these areas, so there is no simple answer to that question.
The NIF can actually go in like 10cm
How about the ones at Planet Fitness?
Yes, I'm also curious about those ones
I think they have this at planet fitness black card
very little penetrates, skin contact is better
Is there any evidence that regular red light therapy regularly to prevent osteoarthritis & cartilage loss? rather than only symptomatic/pain relief?
I bought a knee brace that has red light therapy for my mother. It has significantly reduced her pain and has enabled her to get around better. Definitely want to spend in the $100+ range. I also have knee arthritis and have recently bought a unit for myself.
relieving pain is great, and I'm glad it worked, but that doesn't mean red light prevents cartilage loss. It might just be reducing inflammation in the joint for example. I'm interested in finding out whether red light therapy can actually prevent the loss of cartilage that occurs with age in the first place (getting in early before arthritis has developed)@@KC-50
I had an elbow issue for 6 months that went away from just one hour of a Hooga light.
name of it please i need it for my mom thanks @@KC-50
@@eyehatemyjobone hour!!! thats too much
Do you need eye protection when using red light therapy
When you get a red light system with near infrared it comes with eye protection, so I would say yes
Imagine turning tanning beds into red light therapy facilities.
I have access to a giant red light bed that costs 65k and was wondering if there is such a thing as an overdose or any side effects.
I've been doing it for the past 3 days for 40 min, and I see a CRAZY positive effect on me. Immediately 😮...
So, I'd love to keep using it. But why do protocols suggest using it 3 times a week only and not everyday?
Probably a time cap is recommended to give the cells and other things in the body time to do their business
Where ? Lol
It's recommended 20 minutes a day 5 days a week max
I’ve seen some people stay 6 inches away at 10 min per day, but really you need to calculate energy transferred into your body
Joovv is toooo expensive. Any budget choice?
Mito red light
I bought a big full body one on Amazon for $40. Seems like it works 🤷♂️
Planet fitness has this I think
try ours
bestqool I like
Sounds like snake oil to me.
Been studied for years. This does show positive results. Snake oil are many pharma drugs that can cause premature death.
Don’t nock it until you try it
Don't make uninformed assumptions, do some actual research.
Nah, I've used it for my bumpy skins, Def has helped reduce it after a month of use
It sounds like you haven’t done proper research.
