I’m about to install the seat lift in my 08 Duramax crew cab to be able to fold the top of the seats down so I can install my amp rack behind the seat and the 4) 8’s box I built to go under the seat.
I see you have a system wired up back there. Thats what im up to. Was this a Bose equipped model? Whos bypass harness did you go with? Lessons learned? Thanks!
Yes, this was a Bose equipped truck but I honestly don't remember how I wired that truck. I sold that truck a few years ago. My current truck (2019 Duramax) I used a harness from lljcustoms.com. I know I used the audiocontrol line-out converter on both trucks. I feel like on my old truck I didn't use a harness and cut into the factory wiring which I wouldn't do again.
I would get that kit to fit a bigger under the seat subwoofer enclosure.
I think that's one of the reasons they made these but also so you can fold the back of the seats down.

Did you get a larger sub enclosure? I put seat lift in my 2016 crew cab, but having no luck finding an enclosure. Let alone an enclosure for a single ported 12. I want to utilize the extra space to fit a full size 12. Not a fan of the shallow mounts. Let me know. Thank you
No, I mainly put the seat lift in so I could store stuff under my seats and so I can fold down the back of the seats. I had a JL Audio stealthbox under my center console.
Just wondering how difficult it might be to fabricate a bracket to raise the seat up a few inches . Cant be that hard. Angle iron squared metal piping and a oxide paddle but.
By the time you buy everything to try and fabricate it, you probably could have just bought the kit already made.
8 - pieces of square tubing with a hole drilled through them. Very simple IF you have the ability to cut/drill the tubing.
Hey bro whats the rear and front measurements I'm trying to see if I need the 3.5 kit. My skar box 10 1/4 front and back of box is 7 3/8 height
It's hard to get a good measurement because I have a bunch of stuff in my truck at the moment. I just took a quick measurement from the side. The front is right around 10". I couldn't get far enough back to get an accurate measurement but it was under 7". I think the 3.5 kit is going to be the way to go.

I just screwed into the back of my cab. I am not sure you will want to do that. LOL.
I had screws poking out the back of my cab.

This truck was a 2013 but I did this on my 2019 as well. LMI Welding makes these kits for a lot of different trucks and years.

No, not yet. I started on other projects and put that on hold. It should be pretty easy to fix but I just have had other things going on.

I took my seats out. Cut off about 1.25" off the that metal hook and bam, seat fold down.
