- Do you ever feel like giving up? The task that you set yourself is proving a lot more difficult to achieve, than you first thought. The satisfactory conclusion you so wish would happen seems further and further away. When belief in yourself is seriously shattered, and you wonder whether all the effort is worth it, take a deep breath. Go outside, give yourself time to wind down. There may be something there, hidden in your mind, which you had not thought of. When the going gets tough, you have the power, never give that away, and never lose it.
Those of us in "the wide awake club" know you are NOT losing your marbles...

No no, I don't watch these brain drilling revelations flowing from everywhere in tv, newspapers, more and more, not easy to avoid completely but being aware is a MUST. Thank you for being honest

I am a member of the wide awake club. I started waking up in 2020 when I stopped watching TV. Well said, and thank you for sharing.
Many years ago there was a kids TV programme on a Saturday Morning, called The Wide Awake Club. They had a big map and stuck pins in it where all the members were in the country. I wrote in and they gave me yellow flag. I was driving a truck at that time. It gave me the idea of starting a Lady Truckers Club. I chose yellow when I got the tee and sweatshirts printed.

Yes the best thing I did was ditching the TV. I've been in the WAC since 2015. I never listen to radio anymore, look at papers or magazines. I love being in my own world. No fear, no drama, just life.
My word of advise for anyone is: keep away from doctors, dentists, opticians, lawyers, accountants and vets.
They're all out to fleece you. Trust no one, just listen to your inner wisdom, it has all the answers and will never let you down. Eat as well as you can, reduce sugar, take little exercise regularly and do not comply with any mainstream nonsense. Don't go trying to explain yourself to anyone either or trying to convince someone you're right and they're wrong. Freewill, let them all carry on. The right people find each other ❤️

Lost the’Will’ long time ago !nothing seems the same ! A world full of fear and uncertainty ! I find myself not engaging with the internet fuels my anxiety ! The Tories are gone soon but alas Labour will be no Saviour ! Just to keep my sanity going in this crazy upside down world I did get rid of my TV 3 yrs ago and enjoy my u tube listening to people like your self and watch movies back in the day without woke in it
When I was driving I stopped paying for the licence, and got rid of the TV. No point in keeping it, no time to watch it, and that was 25 years ago. Think of the money I have saved.

I totally agree IIona. It would be so lovely if instead of 24 hrs a day fear based news, we had 24 hrs a day of great positive news. It would lift all of our frequencies and vibrations. There are people in the world who do so much good and make people smile but this is so rarely mentioned. Animals give us so much joy. I saw the most beautiful rainbow the other day and it lifted me. Do what feels right for you, for me self care, yoga, good healthy way of eating, walking, music, meditation etc. Switch off news and television and live in your own bubble. Life is very challenging but there are ways that we can do our best to overcome this.

What is the end plan for 'them' Ilona? A playground for the rich and elite whilst the common people turn against each other fighting to the death? Most 'normal' people and decent human beings just want a roof over their heads, an ability to pay the bills, an annual holiday, a stable job, good nutritious food, adequate health care when needed, friends/companionship and family, the right to express an opinion without being vilified by people who don't express that opinion. I do find myself distancing from people in general. I feel like the odd one out when really I think in the past my views would be representative of the majority of people in the UK.

The govt. would probably have the money for lots of things if they didn’t keep throwing it away on useless projects. I trusted people in authority once but not anymore, not for a long time. It’s amazing that the younger generations do not want to know, ( my own children think I’m going dotty/ hippy😀), it sometimes feels like people want to be controlled and they’ll just accept everything until it’s too late, I won’t . I refuse to live in fear and I’m definitely in your wide awake club, I will not comply with their antics and live the rest of my life how I always have done happy and positive.

I was in Asda yesterday. Paid £122 for my shopping with cash. Had a lovely chat with the lady at the till. She was wide awake.
Keep your wetter up, Ilona. You are great at keeping warm in a bitter cold winter, eating healthily (might want to consider meat again though, unless it repulses you), walking and educating yourself and us on what you think is going on. I don't know how the invasion of your country will go but I do know that the British have strength and fortitude. Love your channel.

One of the most selfish excuses I’ve heard is, “well I’m old now and I’m not bothered, there’s nothing I can do” my answer to that is, well you b***** should be bothered, what about future generations, and what about the sacrifices your parents/grandparents gave to give you a better life, so glad my kids are in the wide awake group along with a few of their friends because they are going to need each other, the funny thing is, those that aren’t bothered will be the ones shouting the loudest when things turn sour.
It's very sad that people will allow themselves to be pushed off the edge of a cliff.

I live in Ontario, Canada, we are used to weather but I've noticed lately the weather reports are fear mongering people to believe the weather is worse than it is ! also according to the news Toronto is awash with racists hating the Jewish community and they need police guards everywhere...the cost of food is so high people can't afford to eat...yet every fast food take out here where I live have a 1 hour waiting time for delivery....not to mention can't get in a restaurant on a Saturday night. People here are driving F 150 pick up trucks costing a fortune and the cost of gas outrageous yet poverty is rampant and food banks are overwhelmed...so which is it ?????

I thought that I couldn’t wait for things to get better after the nasty bug, it’s getting worse and worse. The way I deal with it is to avoid watching news, to concentrate and take the lead from my little dogs. They live for the moment, it’s a good life lesson to avoid stress

Unfortunately lots of children have been let down badly by there own family
They have. I felt at a young age that being responsible for a baby, and looking after it for the first 18 years of it's life, was not something I could do. Later on at the age of forty something I did think that if I was to have a baby, now would be the best time to do it. Of course, that was too late. I had made my choice, I was sterilised at 37. No regrets. It was the right thing to do.

Being a real adult is about taking responsibility for your own life. Understanding that you have choices. Deciding where you want to be, and making a plan to move towards that. It's not plain sailing for everyone though, some have to make more effort than others.

The adverts are not my doing, I don't want them. When I first started there weren't any adverts. Then they decided all videos had to have them. I tell people to click through them when there is the option. Switch your brain off.

Hello ilona, I so often find myself saying and thinking "I wish we were back in the 70's. And I feel that way because of the freedom we had, and the world felt like our oyster. Maybe that's just how I felt? Had I known what was coming I would not have had children. Because I am so saddened by the state of our world. But here we are. So I try to keep just enough news to be informed on matters of the world affairs. And keep news to the minimum. I loathe politics. And I guess for me to keep sane I need to keep as much positive thoughts going as possible. And I try to immerse myself in the thing's I enjoy. Because if I focus on what I can't change, I would go mad. 😺☕🧁
