Some of my favorite vlogs are when you walk around the skin care aisle reviewing products. I also love it when you do this with other things like candles, produce, clothing, miscellaneous items etc. It’s so relaxing. Thank you!

Stef Vanderveldt I agree. I'd like to see some of the "beauty gurus", subscribe to Andrea's channel and mention it their video's. Oftentimes they give information that completely contradicts Andrea's channel. And for what it's worth, I trust this channel over the others (although I still watch my favorite BG's)

Robin T I completely agree! One BG I’ve been watching for some time now posted an updated skincare favs and I honestly didn’t watch. I could tell from the thumbnail it was all overpriced fragrance ridden creams that I don’t need! Dr dray sure is saving my skin and my wallet.

Hi, I told my husband that I was watching your videos and had adopted a more simplified, and cheaper, skin care routine, and he told me my skin looked younger, what??!!! I am 66, yikes, and have noticed that since I am finally moisturizing correctly the crepey look on my cheeks is gone. I am also using Differin and I think that is helping too. I am really grateful for your honest reviews, and I am also grateful I listened to you!

I really appreciate your videos (and. vlogs too!!). They are so informative and I like the fact that you’re giving the objective opinion/insight of the products. I hope you make videos forever and never leave your channel 😘❤️

Love the idea of #Tybee TV!!! I just picked up a CeraVe PM too. I, unfortunately, forgot to pick up a Neutrogena Hydro Boost and ran out yesterday. Last night I applied a small amount of CeraVe PM to wet skin as my humectant and them layered the usual amount I use on top. I have to say that it worked great that way. Hope you, Mom and Tybee have a fabulous Sunday. They’re calling for snow here in NC later.

Love your videos...I have found a new appreciation for cerave, my favorite combination for night time is cerave pm as the base layer followed by cerave renewing night cream. In the morning when I rinse my face I can still feel the moisture retaining layer on my face. Keep the ingredient information coming.

Dr. Dray, you are right about products, they can have very simple ingredients but they won't work for everybody. I tried the Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser and it stung my face really bad, my face was red for a while. I ended up using it on my body, no problems there. I really like the Vanicream Gentle facial cleanser. Thank you for another great video.

Just picked up the Bare Republic Face Sunscreen at Walmart ($12.96 for 1.7 oz) on a whim. It has a silky feeling that's taken me a while to get used to, but overall I like it. Also, does not leave the dreaded white cast. I like it as an alternative to the more pricier SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion ($34 for 1.7 oz) and Elta MD UV Clear ($33 for 1.7 oz). I think most of us cannot afford the pricier sunscreens that are heavily marketed towards women. Thanks for your honest reviews Dr. Dray! We can always count on you.

Saw on NBC news story of many skincare & cosmetics being sold on-line at Amazon,Wal-Mart,other on-line stores also are selling counterfeit products, that is best to purchase directly from company,or in store, that is probably why that sunscreen is 50$.that is what I think too. Great skincare advise as always. Bye......👏👏🐇🐰🌈🐕

P.S. Coconut oil is fairly high on the comedogenic scale,so it is best to avoid for acne sufferers. That is why I am skeptical about non comedogenic claims. The comedogenic scale is more complicated than just a yes or a no. If it says 0 on the comedogenic scale I would trust it, but that never happens. Only one makeup brand that I trust claims 0 on comedogenic scale. Yes, it sucks having super acne prone sensitive skin........

Your videos have empowered many us of to make better decisions about what we put on our skin and I can say that my skin looks and feels better and I have saved money too. As a dermatologist, what can you tell us about hair products with UVA/UVB protection for our hair. Are these products effective and do we need to worry about protecting our scalp from the sun? Thank you and Tybe is so cute.

    • @DrDrayzday

they don't protect the scalp, no; they may prolong the lasting of hair dyes on the strand though

I have always been religious about using a lotion with sunscreen every day, however, I recently started a job where I am in my car a LOT. I get so much more sun. I had NO idea that my sunscreen was only lasting around 2 hours - I was wondering why my pores were having problems and I was getting fine lines and sun damage. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Now to give up makeup so I can reapply....

    • @Skweepa

I think if using your humectant tip works for me to reduce redness, I can use less makeup coverage for redness and focus on sunscreens during the day.

I am super into tea and I love the kevita /kombucha drinks! I used to make my own kombucha. But I love loose leaf tea the most! Love harney & sons and Simpson and Vail. Oh my gosh if you haven't had chocolate tea😍😍😍 Simpson and Vail has a chocolate mint and Valentine's which is chocolate raspberry... Heavenly! I'm drinking matcha mint latte right now! Had a ginger one before this. Love your videos Dr d!

That would be SO AWESOME OF YOU❤️😍❤️😍 it cosmetics cc cream, Burt's bees makeup, Neutrogena foundations, the ordinary foundation, more of the physicians formula, Josie maran vibrancy, elf acne fighting, to name some off the top of my head lol. I have like "reverse freckles". These little light freckle looking dots on my cheeks and I find that they're a really good measure of whether or not my skin is getting darker. The "tanner" I get the more they blend into my skin. I traveled through Japan and Korea using a Japanese sunscreen and my little freckles stayed light and bright. I feel pretty convinced that the Asian sunscreens work a lot better. They're also a lot easier to apply. It's really hard to pile on the recommended amount of American sunscreen without feeling like a grease ball.

I like the the asian sunscreens; hypopigmentation is tricky to deal with...hard to improve

Oh! I don't mind, I think they're cute (most people can't even see them from a distance). They haven't gotten any bigger.

You are indeed empowering us! Thank you. I've been using the CeraVe cream in tub on my face (morning and night) for about three weeks now and absolutely LOVE it! Because of you I rarely use a towel anymore lol, since I put the hydroboost and moisturizer on wet skin :) My husband does it too, and I have my 90 year old mother doing it to help with her dry skin. Question: are there studies showing that consuming Licorice root extract is beneficial for brightening one's skin, or are the studies only for topical use? Thank u!

    • @DrDrayzday
      @DrDrayzday  6 років тому

Thanks! Glad to hear the family has a stronger skin barrier :) No...it can actually be dangerous if consumed (espeically in hight quantities), as it can cause hypertension and low potassium...licorice candy rarely has it in it, and when it does it is low.....but a supplement is not regulated and they can put alot in them/people can use too much

I can’t wait to use up my SheaMoisture and Pacifica skincare products so I can replace them with Korean products, Derma E and CeraVe! And I’m sure there are other treasures to find!

Dr. Dray, firstly thank you so much for doing what you do. I love watching your videos. Would you mind doing a video on some do's and don'ts of depotting face care items for travel? For example, can I depot an item that's packaged in opaque plastic bottle to a travel size clear plastic bottle without ruining the integrity of the product? Differen, in particular, is one product I wonder about since I live in Canada and my tube is 60g (it's not OTC here).

As I ask this question, I can still hear my teachers say, "there are no dumb questions" but...u might think this is! Question...Do I need a sunscreen if I very rarely do into the sun? I put a sunscreen once on my face and got a chemical burn. Totally made my face scarred. So, I never put it on again. Thank you for any reply. Your mother reminds me of mine! She's wonderful!
