  • What are the differences between PolarPro's 3 Matte Boxes?
    Recon: bit.ly/3Q9yG2G
    Basecamp: bit.ly/48ea7sd
    Nano 4x5: bit.ly/46xRxtD
The Recon and the Basecamp feature built in VND systems for fast exposure adjustments while the Nano 4x5 holds traditional 4 x 5.65 filters. The Recon is a smaller, more compact setup that fits lenses up to 82mm filter threads, while the BaseCamp is a larger system to fit up to 114mm cine lenses and everything in between.

I currently own the base camp system, but I mostly shoot multicam interviews and I want to buy another filter sets for the other cameras. If I bought the recon system, will it match with the camera that has the base camp system?

Yah it’s the same glass and color profiles for all of our glass (except the new chroma Polarizers) which are not on BC or recon anyways

1:11 what if I want to use CPL and VND or ND together. Which system is good for that?

Recon and Nano 4x5 will be the two Matteboxes to look at. We have VND Polarizers launching soon that will be compatible with these systems

I own an FX3 camera with two Sigma lenses, 24mm and 50mm. Where can I get a suitable matbox from your company? Thank you.

All 3 of these would work, you just need to decide how you want to use it. Links are all in the description. If you have specific questions let us know

I currently have the PM VND II. Will this work with any of these systems?

None of these three work with threaded filters. There are a couple other brands out there that accept threaded. The only problem with using threaded filters is vignetting

@@PolarProFilters I haven't had any issues with vignetting on mine, but it's also made by you guys so I got that going for me. 😁

right there is no vignetting when you have that filter threaded onto your lens. but when you add a matte box, your matte box threads to the lens, then the VND threads to the matte box and pushes it further away. That can start to introduce vignetting
