- In this video I install code 4 and 5 sheet lead to a bathroom parapet wall. This is the second stage of works out of 3 on this property. I have also completed some capping to a garden room. And later there will be some more capping to a single story extension. Whilst the scaffold was up I also took the opportunity to sweep the moss of the tiles and clean out the gutter.
Please leave me a comment on the video. Id really appreciate it.
I hope you enjoy. - Навчання та стиль
I could literally watch you with lead all day. You just sound so genuine and your videos are so insightful.
I’m curious to know, do YOU like to watch other lead specialists for alternative ways/extra knowledge? Between yourself and LeadworkSW - you’re the best lead workers Iv ever seen.
Thank you so much and thanks for watching.
Yes I do. I like to see how others do it things. I also love watching joinery vids.
Hiya mate, watching your videos and my bird says wtf are you watching. I explain to her that I want to do what you’re doing. I’m currently a roofer and have been for 10 years but what I see is true craftsman at work. I’d like to pursue this so if you could point me in the right direction I’d much appreciate it 👍🏽
I suppose being a roofer you do the odd bit of lead work yourself ?.
I think there are courses you can go on for welding etc. it’s actually something I’m looking into starting up.
mate you make lead work look so easy , fantastic work your so skilled
Thank you so much. And thanks for watching.
“In situ” on site metal bender.
You’re the man. Good work lad.
Thank you I really appreciate it.
And thanks for watching.
Hey Stuart. Great work. Fairplay those extendable ladders hold some weight on the horizontal. You plus the lead you are luggin. Impressive. How did you finish the other end of the parapet wall? 👍
Hi Simon. Thank you. Yes these ladders really come in handy. Especially for me as I don’t have a roof rack. It fits nicely in the back of the truck. I don’t mind using them on a pitch of a roof. Sorry I didn’t show the other end. There wasn’t that much access. But the lead turned down 120mm and it was clipped to secure the free edges.
@@slbleadworks any welds on the corners?
@@Simon__Davies yes there are welds on both. Really awkward to get to. But where there’s a will there’s a way.
@@slbleadworks looked tricky to be sure
@@Simon__Davies I could have done with scaffold all the way up. But it was done like that to keep the cost down
How's your back been
It’s been so much better for ages. But last week I had a really tricky job. I was constantly having to climb out of a small dormer window. And pass all the lead out etc too.
Every day last week my back was really sore. But by morning ok again. But this morning I got dressed to go to work. And my back twinged making me fall to the floor.
So I’ve had to take the day off 🤦🏻♂️. I’m hoping the weekend off will help.
Any idea why the torch is making that funny noise?
I think there’s a slight blockage in the nozzle.
