Had one for 5 hours from BMW Motorrad in Rotherham. After 20 minutes I pulled up and ordered one, rode another 4.5 hours dropped it back off, signed the paperwork and pick it up in September.....Absolute Machine
Awesome.
Shocked. You didn't do figure 8, or parking spot turns. Great vid either way.
I’m not old enough to get my license yet, I still love watching your videos. Gathering all this information from your videos in my mind I can use when I eventually get my own bike. Thanks Motojitsu!
You're better off riding instead of trying to remember all these little details of riding. When you get on the street you are going to be overwhelmed with trying to remember everything, otherwise.
@@oSnapMillerTime I’m obviously not remembering everything he says. Of course that would be too much as a beginner. Just remembering important things the won’t overwhelm me or anything like that, but I can still use this information none the less
@@oSnapMillerTime You really think he’s better off just getting on a bike with no knowledge whatsoever? That is a stupid af idea. If he’s watching all of these videos, he’s clearly going to retain a lot of important information
I think it’s great that you’re doing this before you get a bike. Study as much as you can!👍 be safe out there
@@MotoTweak Thank you, you too!
I had a 21 plate and absolutely loved it. I cried when i bought it as I'd worked really hard for it. I sold it 7 weeks later with 6000 miles on the clock and i cried when i sold it 😂 only sold as i went travelling for a year. By far s1000rr my favourite sport bike phenomenal
Where did you travel to if you don’t mind me asking?
@TV-jv4dj hi, Mexico, guatamala, carribean islands of honduras, down thru honduras, Nicaragua, costa rica, columbia and peru , highered a motorbike in a few of these countries, the higher jungle of the amazon was incredible on a bike, and so was the andes mountains
Super sound buying/education advice!
It’s a great bike. Had the 2011. Currently have the S1000XR.
I like that concept your Dad gave you, the beauty of something correlated with the amount of looks you give it "yup thats a two looker"
I love my 2015 BMW 1200R. They say if you wanna go fast, you also gotta be able to stop fast. BMWs were made to stop with just a slight touch of the front/rear brake! BMWs are the ultimate riding machine. All the others are good too, but something about the BMW that I just can't switch back to HD, or Yamaha.
The aprilia also got cruise control
Heated grips are one of those things I never got to use but don't sound interesting at all...
Both are amazing
I currently got a 2019 RSV4 so I'm good for now, but this and the rsv4 factory are in my best interests
I want the bike but I can't get over how much more I love the 2010's body style
Man I thought u were just into adventure bikes, love it, I currently have a 2021 s1000rr m package absolutely amazed by it
How long have you had it? I’m interested in getting one in a year or 2 but I hear the seat is very uncomfortable
@@DamaniJones had it since March of this year, the seat is uncomfortable for long rides but when i ride for about 30 minutes it's ok, really need rear sets tho I'm 6ft tall and my legs feel like they are very up high, but overall love the bike
You really need a separate mic for the bike audio when you're doing these reviews IMO. The wind noise makes it near impossible to hear your voice.
I had the same experience with this bike, I felt like I was doing 75 and in reality I was doing 100+
Are you looking into the mirrors when you turn your head around or in the back ? Just trying to understand the technique
Great video, great bike! However, there’s one thing I don’t understand tho: other drivers simply hanging on the fast lane making you overtake’m on the right. Is that allowed on the US? Cheers!
I’ve never ridden one of these before, but I really like their look & design. A lot of people who review bmw bikes say they’re ‘soulless’ or ‘too mechanical,’ yet still praise the bikes for their features & engineering. It seems like a strange criticism to me
I have a 23 s1k and tbh I understand why they say it. They tend to try the bike completely stock. It doesn’t sound or feel amazing with stock exhaust and stock tune. It is very restricted when not tuned. But as soon as I got these 2 things fixed on mine I’m telling you it’s absolutely amazing
My 23 M1000R is an untamed beast with a full exhaust and dyno tune. Insanely loud and the front wheel is always trying to come up.
@@chonkbadonk fax bro. Most of the time I gotta shift early first to keep it down
It’s how bmw builds their products. I was into cars before bikes & owned 2 bimmers. I wouldn’t say they were “soulless” but, most bmw engines feel uber consistent. You knew how it pulled in every gear for every depth you changed the pedal. They’re predictable. With motorcycle tolerances I’m sure they built these bikes to have a consistency that other manufacturers can’t/don’t replicate. & so they’re predictable. I give them props, they are the best bike on the market right now. I’d own one if I could
I’d say it’s comparable to a Model S plaid or even a 911 turbo S. Amazing machines but they are so capable you can’t even use half of what it’s able to do. Like ok going 100 on the highway of a Turbo S feels like a relaxing commute and you’re already breaking law. But a Honda s2000 revs to moon, has a tactile shifter, you can FEEL the road. Much more soul.
Please do a video of both bikes the BMW and Aprila using the naked version of them. Keep up the good work.
just got a gen 3 at the weekend, quite different from riding my old faithful blade thou 08 it's going to take a bit of getting used to.
So stoked. Mines making its way from Germany as I type this 🥰🥰🥰🥰
If I was into sport bikes… this is the one I would want.
@motoJitsu out of all the super sport bikes ridden how does this compare to the top of the list or is this the best you’ve ridden?
And they sell the hire bikes from the Superbike school, and highly discounted and warranty’s still active.
Oh and you get the race fairings and other bits and bobs
That S1000RR is an absolutely cracking bike
Sweet bike! 🎉🎉 Jealous! 😊🔥🔥👌🏻
I have the 23 and it’s 🔥🔥
The original buyer listened to Ramsey's show being played on this new bike while driving off the dealership and upon the show ended, he was back at the dealership he just drove off from and forfeit his keys.
Thanks for the superbike school suggestion
”Two looker” love it haha
What GS model do you have?
That 2010 is a dream toy for me.
I still have the 2010, still a beast
I rode a track day alongside an 19yr old young man who personally owned this 2023 BMW S1000RR M Package, I was riding my 2021 BMW S1000RR M Package. He was damn quick for it being his first ever track day. We were riding at NJMP Motorsports Park on August 25, 2023
Damn, I really the hornet look of the older ones..
Hi, in the video, are you breaking with the front or rear brakes?
Front
These bikes are perfect
I thought the Aprilia RSV4 also has cruise control? I know the Aprilia RS660 has it. Or did you mean the BMW is more comfortable than the RSV4 despite the RSV4 having cruise control? Just curious. Thanks, and great video 👍
more comfortable
I was literally at the same place today. SD BMW test riding 2022 S1000RR M package. Waiting for my credit union to open Monday to review sales receipt fingers crossed bike will still be available. If not, taken the 2023 you just rode small world man
can u make a review to cb650r
I know it’s probably cliche to say but I’ll say it anyways. With an exhaust and a tune like bt moto. This review would be completely different. I seriously recommend you try to make that happen. This bike is amazing
Yeah I installed headers and a BT stage one and two on my XR and it's entirely different monster now. These bikes are so corked up from factory because of the Euro5 emissions crap.
Waiting for the gen 1 video 😊
After riding this and then going back on the RS must be awful. I could never trade something like this for an adventure bike.
To sum up the video in two words would be 'holy crap' 🥰
Too fast of 95% of mortals and probably not that comfortable. . . things that seem very attractive can loose their shine when you've lived with them for 12 months.
Adventure bikes are for daily comfortable rides, you could own both
@@smerfu8734yes
Can you remove the winglets?
This Bike need to be tested on the Track!!!!! Riding a Beast like this on the Street is ridiculous :)
I thought I was crazy but it didn't look like you were carrying the speed the odometer is saying. I'm sure you feel exactly the same way riding from the explaining but that's crazy how that happens.
I have it too, rode mine 16 hours straight from London to Austria then Poland. it's on my channel.
My dream bike just keeps getting better every year 😭 one day....
Same here friend! Maybe we can get one used in a few years 😅
@italyguy08 that's the plan 👌 don't think I'll ever buy brand new unless it was given to me 🤣
I recently highsided my HP4 2014. It had sc project CRT Made 190.5whp on pump gas. Was a monster..
Got money put aside for a 23 s1000rr m package can anyone comment on what the difference is from the HP4 to a 23 s1k m ? Hows the brakes and the lightness. Will the CF rims crack or are they solid now
The newer bike is better all round no doubt about it, ive ridden both, technology has moved on alot. If unsure on rims go forged as still light,
Great video. I was concerned when you first roll on the power at that first left turn where the cop was! I figured you were going to get a ticket for sure!
accelerating isn't a crime
@@MotoJitsu true, but the combination of that super nice ride, the sound of all those horses lighting up will definitely get you looked at hard-maybe more.
Gives new meaning to the old saying,” you might be able to be the rap, but you can’t be the ride.” That ride looked hard to beat.
Stay safe.
Did you ever test the 2010 s1000rr ? That you mentioned
Yup
Is the engine hot with this bike for a long riding?😅
I hear the S-1000 vibrates at high speeds?
which u prefer? this or rsv4 u recently reviewed.
12min 10sec to 12min 40sec
he answers this question. Also he says a bit later in the video he'd be even happy with a standard bmw s1000rr
Hi mate, it is not the suspension that makes this bike tall. It is tall in fact and its ultra wide seat makes anyone below 6.2 a short rider.
No need to exaggerate
For what it's worth the rsv4 does have cruise control.
Moto, how comfortable would this bike be for the person who is 6'3" tall ? Lastly, did you feel any vibrations in the handlebars at high speed?
go test ride one
I'm 6'3" and it's fine, the BMW M rearsets make comfort adjustments easy 🙂
@@stuartspratley1418 many report that there's a buzz in the handlebars and that the wind, at high speeds, pretty much light up your chest like a firecracker...lol....not good for long distance touring...
@@markettradinggenius I can only vouch for my bike and how I've set it up / played with preload etc but I have no buzz in the bars and never did, I've also not gone much over 150 mph on it yet but it was decent enough with the screen that came on it, the screen is defo a bit better than the test bike I rode so maybe the M comes with a higher screen maybe? It feels like a sports tourer to me on the road I'm tall and overweight and still have done a decent day in the saddle without cramping...I came from an RSVR which is one of the roomiest bikes I've owned, so far it's decent for me...hope this continues.
@@stuartspratley1418 thanks buddy....yeah, I"m looking at either the M1000R or the suzuki hayabusa...

Can we launch a motorcycle in any gear?🤔
What's the price ?
My first ever bike will be this. Bad decision? Maybe. But my first car was a ZL1 so i just like dumb decisions
I love my 2011
Love to see you jump on a M1000R! compare it to the S1000R.
Do you think a returning rider of a number of years could adjust to a bike like this?
who knows your skill or what you're looking for out of a bike, so no idea.
YOU DROVE ALL THE LITRE BIKES THIS SUMMER..WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE ? THANKS ✌️
Probably this
@MotoJitsu oh wow ! I figured ud say the zx 10
My toss up was either the Zx10R or this and I decided to get this after so much researching. Well I settled on getting the 2024 S1000RR, which I’ll have in 1 to 2 weeks 😊
Nice!!!!!!!
how many miles will these motors go?
I have one S1000rr july 2019(full pack M). The cylinder head gasket broke at 34.500km. This happened this December and it is still repairing 2 weeks after....
And the mechanic told me that because of that issue, one of the crankshaft bearings has been wasted badly. For security he recommended me to change all (4). And check the crankshaft if it is still aligned, if not, replace it. Then imagine. If I have to change everything it is at least 5.000€. One new engine is around 9.000€. I have never used on circuit, only some full gas to enjoy it. I use it for commuting (it is my special toy) I always let it warm up until 60°C. Also, always BMW service maintenance. I am quite disappointed in that, the warranty washed its hands. For less than half a year.
I could understand if I used in a circuit or I abused hard.... (Sorry for my English, I am Spanish).
Things happens.
Sold!
The BMW limiter is on until 1600 miles?
no idea
I have a superbike collection of both euro and japanese superbikes . My Aprilia RSV4 is my favorite .......2nd bmw s1000rr 3rd Ducati v4s 4th F4 MV RC 5 Kawasaki h2 toss up cbr 1000rr suzuki gsxr 1000 but the japanese have gotten beaten in EVERY comparison for 15 years strait . Euro bikes better than japanese in every aspect including reliability now .
Hi ! I have a question about the rain mode , i heard that it reduces the power to 130-160hp . Does anyone know if you can ride it with rain mode on all weathers ? I want to jump from a R7 to this , but i want to take it slow until i feel confident enough.
the bike doesn't know if it's raining or not dude, you can ride in any mode you want anywhere or time you want...you can also ride in track mode and not be at the track
@@MotoJitsu Sry im still learning about motorcycles. What i meant was that if i ride it in the rain mode even in good weather conditions , it wont damage anything right ? thanks
how could it? Could riding in track mode mess up the bike if you're not on the track? the bike doesn't know where it is.
@@MotoJitsu thanks a lot
Get it
Was the gsxr 1000 more comfortable than this?
Not for me
Where is that bike made India?
I don't know why, but the new S1000RR always reminds me of Bumblebee.
This or ZX10R if you dont care for cruise control & carbon fiber?
@kranthik5531 the ZX10r does have cruise control since the model refresh. The ZX10rr has cruise control for 2024. You would have to try them. They are pretty different. An S1000rr, the bike feels taller, slimmer, and lighter. The ZX10 feels low, riding position is a bit more leaned forward but not uncomfortable. Both are very stable at high speeds with great brakes. Both also need to be flashed. The ZX10 especially.
@@JB-lm7gg
Which 1000cc supersport is street friendly? I will never go on a track.
@@kranthik5531 The best one is the one you like the most.
Anyone else bothered by the fact that he didn't start with the older bike?!
Lmao
I cannot reiterate this videos comfort level for this machine. Go test a V2, or V4 and then test this machine or vice versa. The seat and Geometry I give it high marks.
👋Is it true that this bike is unreliable?
I never felt like this before. 😂😂😂 every time you say something nice about the bike, I feel like you rubbing it all over my face because it is literally my dream bike 🥹
Can we launch a bike in any gear?🤔
I meeeaannn uphill no way only first, flat ground I have gotten away with second ( not on purpose just a oops) and downhill for sure second is easy if u let the bike roll a bit but the higher the gear the more complicated it gets :)
Launch like high RPM dump the clutch? You can do it in any gear but it will bog down and stall in any gear higher than 2nd. The higher the gear the more throttle needs to be given and the more the clutch needs to be slipped to get the bike going from a standstill, and there reaches a point (4th,5th,6th) where you can't possibly slip the clutch or give it enough throttle to keep it from stalling from a stop. This is worse on smaller bikes where the engine isn't very powerful.
I don't know why you would ever set off from a stop in any gear other than 1st or 2nd, and I definitely don't know why you would launch in any gear other than 1st.
@@Hey_Its_Yosh makes sense bro ,i was just curious thats it😁,thanks

The 2023 s1000rr doesn’t come without M package and it’s the motor half M top half.
Uh, they absolutely still make a base model. $17,895
Why can’t i find the 2010 video?
instagram.com/motojitsuclub/
Great video, and it cements for me to never buy a modern bike with all the electronic gimmickry. When I ride, I like to ride, not play video games. My bikes have carburetors and a speedo and tach. Nothing else, unless I put my phone in the holder to use Google maps. I can rebuild every one of them in my garage and some of my bikes even have (gasp!) points!
