It took me a while too, but turns out, motorcycles can fo corners too, no just highway speeding. So for that. You need to break and downshift for the right gear. If it's a really slow corner, then you're downshifting a few gears.

Normal motorcycles have 1st gear at the bottom and then it goes neutral, 2, 3, and so on, going up, that would be 1 down 5 up. This is the opposite, 1st gear is at the top and then going down it goes Neutral, 2nd, 3rd and so on
But hes downshifting isn’t he? You can hear the bike revving higher and higher as he goes down gears, therefore this bike is still using the standard gearing…
Yessir. GP shift is when you reverse the normal shifting pattern. Shifting up downshifts while pushing the shifter down upshifts. Normally better for shifting out of turns and full throttle pulls. It’s really preference at the end of the day.
