Something i noticed that i don't think you showed in the video but did you end up running additional led strips through the middle of the piece? Because i could see on the lighting effects that the centre was lighting up aswell. Looked absolutely incredible
I think the LEDs are pointing from the outside in, and behind the plexiglass so you're seeing the light shine all the way through the back of the structure
Holy crap. I saw those panels in another one of your video and thought they were nanoleafs 🤦🏾♂️😁. I had no idea all the work you did to achieve this look. You did an amazing job. Definitely a labor of love.
Great job! It looks really good. My only suggestion is to use a spacer template made from something like some scrap wood. This ensures that the spaces between the hexagons are uniform.
I used a 5 meter led strip and kept it close to the Middle of my design. There will be some darker areas but nothing annoying. You could also get another led strip and use the same data for both to create a 'double sided' led strip but to me, that isn't worth it
Next time, for the spacing of the hexagons, put icecream sticks (or double) in between for an even spacing. Look 1000% better. Beyond that, absolutely perfect
@@FLXtv I finally made mine yesterday: I finally made mine yesterday: instagram.com/p/CL1MREPhB9N/?igshid=1oqy97b4ciqeq Still some small adjustments. I hade to use 3 x 5m lines. Right now they are connected in parallel. (So I didn’t have to power inject. I am curious how you ran the inject cables ? I hade a big issue cutting plexiglass . I used a thinner version that cracked with jigsaw (even with special blade) I couldn’t fit the full 96’x36’ (that you used) in car. So had to use half sheet, but it was thinner. Solved cutting by using Dremmel. Worked well but nut as exact as jigsaw. The cutting of hex panels was very tedious. I tip for everyone is to use a new break off cutter. Super fun project that looks fantastic THANK YOU for posting this. #SwedishNumber1Fan
Awesome video! This has inspired me to make a build like this! I’ve brought all the materials! Just stuck on the wiring and programming part! Would appreciate if you made a video explaining the wiring and lighting effects you have 🙈
@@FLXtv Thankyou for the reply, any details on the release date? a few questions if you dont mind answering them 1) Im planning on having 2 sets of 5m LED strips, in terms of setting them up, will they both be connected to the ESP8266 Node MCU and that will be wired to a powersource? 2) how did you programme the lighting effects? were they easy to do Cheers
Dude, I am straight up FLOORED!! I came here from Sam Woodhall's YT thumbnail video. I'm staying bc I freaking LOVE the creativity here. I consider myself relatively crafty with this kind of thing, but I'm just crazy impressed by how amazing this looks. Very well done!
Hello, what motion sensor can I use with 30 meters of ws2812b LED strip connected to an esp32 controller and powered by a 5V 60A 300W power supply? and how to assemble all this, there will be 6 strips of 5 meters each with a number of diodes of 60 per meter, how can I assemble all this and what motion sensor should I use so that it turns on only when someone moves, and then after a while it turns itself off and so that it worked even during the day,

Cork can make for a great standoff mount DIY style. Especially good for acoustic stuff as cork transfers less vibration than metal.
