Thanks! I love Mark Aspery's videos and have seen his corkscrew video. Having already used his method for chain making in my previous video I thought I would try a slightly different way. I had an idea in my mind for how to make mine, which kind of worked. Either way, it was very labour intensive and not something I'm keen to make again!
Hey tom more video on forge welding chain with the help of flux because flux is the easiest way to close the link of chain and these forge welding chain are used in towing the breakdown buses with the help of recover truck
All mild steel in this video. Even when forging stainless it just about holds up. If I was turning this into a production run I would make sure to case harden the tooling, but, don't worry I won't be making any more of them!
@@TomFellBlacksmith it's like selling at a craft show, people walk up and say "Neat, how much?" and they are never heard from again.. haha. Nicely done.
a small part of me hoped the wine would be screw top! well done
Good one!
I've only made two and they were both a pain in the butt! Good work, I hope who ever uses it enjoys it. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! I use it VERY regularly.
If you have time check out Mark Aspery’s video on this subject. You may find the corkscrew procedure a little easier. Either way nice work!

Is the tooling you made all mild steel (1018ish) or something like 4140?

That’s a lot of work for one corkscrew hey Tom? How long did it take? Great to watch. Can I buy it?
It was a ridiculous amount of work, I will never make a new one, you can buy it, it will cost you £500.
На здоров'я!!! 😊
@@TomFellBlacksmithYhea!😅 I was just thinking that to turn this in to an sellable product it MUST be around that 500
To be fair, the one in the video might be more because it's unique as I will never make another one!! It was a fairly tricky project.

Must be difficult to compete with the Chinese made ones!
Don't think I can with this particular product!!
Only way we learn is to dive in
Absolutely.
That’s a 500 dollar cork screw 🎉
Felt like it!
A la votre !!

you need to do more traditional forging an less fab... it is easier in the end
What part of that was fabricated?
