This is the one! This is the only sesame noodles recipe that uses ground beef that I have found.. The ingredients are right for this dish. Oh man, I am so hungry to try this out!
So sick yet so hungry. Will definitely try this when I can stomach it. Great segment. Would love to see Korean cold noodles too! Stay healthy and happy both of you :)
@@NateFreestyle Thank you! On the way. I almost burst my ear drum from a sinus infection but luckily for Canadian healthcare I am fine. Will still wait a few days to eat. I tend to noodle binge. Once I start, hard to stop.
So good to see you in STL! This supermarket is about an hour away from me - I know where I'm going this weekend to get the ingredients for cold sesame noodles:) Thanks, Mike!
What market is this? We have family in St Louis and we're up there a lot but they are not the kind of shoppers comfortable with an Asian grocery store. I am! I'd love to hit this place up next time we're in town, it looks great!
@@kiltedcripple It is the Olive Supermarket! Right across the street is Seafood City as well, and it is also next to East Seoul Market which I highly recommend for Korea-specific groceries. There are also some great Asian restaurants in the area if you want recommendations!
@@kiltedcripple No problem! For Korean I'd recommend Wudon (bit pricey), Seoul Garden, or Asian Kitchen. Cate Zone and Lulu's Seafood are great for Chinese food. Those are mostly around the market, but if you're willing to travel further there are amazing places in Manchester and Chesterfield, and Manchester also has a huge Asian market called Pan Asia (better than Olive Supermarket IMO I just have nostalgic ties to olive). There is also a Chinese bakery on Olive and a Korean bakery called Kim's bakery in Chesterfield. It is right next to another Korean market with a little restaurant called Tony's K-food inside. Finally, no trip to STL would be complete without pho from Pho Grand. Happy eating!!
I LOVE this NOODLE recipe thank you for all the tips on which noodles and ingredients to buy it makes it so much easier ,love to learn about the Chinese cuisine 🥰❤️
So I ordered your hot oil even tho I don't like super spicey stuff and defanently don't like cartilage or chewey fat, but I love your videos and the topics of food you cover, and man your hot oil smells like jerky marinade 😍 my favorite is the garlic chili oil, it's awesome even taste good with sushi and in Mac n cheese!
Happy to support this new channel! Success to you Mikey in all your endeavors with restaurants and UA-cam channels. Enjoy your content very much. Keep going!
This sounds perfect. I haven't eaten all day. And sesame noodles noodles sounds really good. Can we just use peanut butter instead of the sesame paste, and also skip the rice vinegar?
Mike! Long time fan first time commenter. Will there be any chance to buy just the garlic chili oil in the future? Or will it be only the three pack for now? Thanks!
Mike chen your hot oil is pretty good, only wish it had a kick to it. And also wish I could buy it separately. I do like the garlic one the best. Overall very good hot oil
Taiwanese cold noodle with add peanut butter along with the sesame paste along with your other ingredients. It's awesome. Next time you should try it. Also cut some carrots and cucumbers on top.
You buy my favorite brand of red chili flake. I was looking for a good quality one for a long time, that's the best I've found. It's from Chengdu, it's really fragrant chili and perfect spice level.
Hey Mike looks awesome. Another great store here in St. Louis is Pan Asia out in Manchester Mo (not a far drive). Also make sure you make out to Crown Candy Kitchen and get your fill of a BLT and homemade ice cream!!!! Love all the content and great to see you back in Missourryyyyy Lol!
This looks like Choncing noodles soo good ground pork. I’m a vegetarian now. But it was so good when I worked at this fire Chinese restaurant. Fahrenheit McLean Va
Now that you are in STL more - any chance of getting some of the local Asian markets like Jay's, Global or the ones in Chinatown to carry your hot oils? I'm about to order online, but it would be so cool to see your jars being sold locally!
I think a really good sub for chinese sesame paste is natural peanut butter because it has more of that roasted quality that tahini doesn't have. If you buy the all natural kind though it should only have one or two ingredients like peanuts and/or salt.
My next Asian supermarket is a bit away…debating whether this could also work with thin spaghetti. Well, need to try it once I have the other ingredients but used up all fresh Asian noodles.
When I was in high school I had a friend (lost contact) who would drive us to Oakland and he would get us these cold noodles and I have been looking for it forever but i don’t remember it being red but it did have ground beef in it. 🤔 could this be it?? 😩😩
Looks like a great recipe! I have all the ingredients except the noodles (kind of important lol) and sesame paste. Looks like I’m due for a trip to the Asian grocer 🤷🏻♂️
hey Mike do you remember me I am the one that corrected you on black chicken. you meant to say dark meat. 🤦🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️😔🤣🤣 I have been following you for a while I like to know are you doing. any giveaways on your hot chili oil you talk about it so much. I would love to taste it.
I love this new segment where you show yourself shopping for the stuff and explaining things, could love to see it more in future cooking videos
Same!

Love the whole line of oils/black bean sauces! Came in the mail super fast and makes ANY dish better, even ice cream !
I absolutely LOVE going to an Asian supermarket🥰. I could browse for a loonngg time there.
THE RECIPES HERE ARE SO GOOD!
I am drooling! Definitely will be making this!
This sounds perfect. I haven't eaten all day. And sesame noodles noodles sounds really good. Can we just use peanut butter instead of the sesame paste, and also skip the rice vinegar?
Yes, but don't skip vinegar. It needs it to cut the richness.
Use lemon juice if you don't like vinegar :) It'll cut out the fattiness of the other flavours
Wooohoooo new video. Thanks for all the hard work and videos!!!!
I love the pink pot.
Wow this is like a real treat! You don’t post a lot on here , love seeing these videos!
Any 'noods' you gonna use, is gonna 'wok'. LOVED IT 🤣🤣
This looks amazing!!

Tried the recipe, loved it! Reminds me of the food in my home region in China :)

I love sesame! This must be so good! 😍😍
Taiwanese cold noodle with add peanut butter along with the sesame paste along with your other ingredients. It's awesome. Next time you should try it. Also cut some carrots and cucumbers on top.
Could you use peanut butter in place of sesame paste? I'm not sure I can find the sesame paste where I live.
so happy to see a sesame noodle recipe without peanut butter!! def gonna try this soon

Love the "wok" pun 😆😆
Love your channel, some awesome recipes I’ll definitely be trying. New sub from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Mike, is the recipe similar to the QQ noodles' (@ Bay Area)?
I miss the H Market from my hometown we don't have one in the Pocono area 😢 😔 😪
Thanks!
Yum. Thanks for sharing Mikey.
Looks/sounds Delicious !
Yummy! :) Thanks for the recipe. :)
My goodness Mike, that egg was perfect!

My next Asian supermarket is a bit away…debating whether this could also work with thin spaghetti.
Well, need to try it once I have the other ingredients but used up all fresh Asian noodles.
I’ve done it with spaghetti before it works pretty well as an easy quite shelf stable meal to have on hand
....good one. keep well...
Anyone know what exact website I go to so I can purchase the Mike’s hot oil? The description only sends me to the clothing
the only thing i would do different is add another egg lol so good!
Yummy 😋😋😋
I can’t the link for the mikeys hot oil
Ugh come to Springfield!
Looks really good 😊 I am vegan so I am going to try without meat and egg
Do you want some noodles with your hot oil...lol...Great videos sir...Looks really awesome...Thank You..
i'd love to do this but add cabbage and do cashews instead of peanuts. honestly the sesame oil and paste intrigues me.
Would you be willing to make schezuan Liang Mian. It’s not sweet and not creamy like the cold sesame noodle dish. I’m confused haha
I can't find a Chinese supermarket as big as the one in your video from SF Chinatown
haha I gotta try your recipe
When I was in high school I had a friend (lost contact) who would drive us to Oakland and he would get us these cold noodles and I have been looking for it forever but i don’t remember it being red but it did have ground beef in it. 🤔 could this be it?? 😩😩
DUDE!! That's my go to noodle brand also!!!!
making this for my husband. where did you get the giant bowl?
target 😃
Is there anything Target can't provide?
Looks like a great recipe! I have all the ingredients except the noodles (kind of important lol) and sesame paste. Looks like I’m due for a trip to the Asian grocer 🤷🏻♂️
The hot oil wasn’t linked, also do you ship overseas?
If you want a better looking poached egg use a whisk to get the water twirling.
wow so delicious, we can connect to follow videos. Thanks
I live in the middle of nowhere. We don't have a Chinese supermarket, so I'm going to make cold sesame rice! lol
Do they have Mexican and Indian grocery stores in the US?
hey Mike do you remember me I am the one that corrected you on black chicken. you meant to say dark meat. 🤦🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️😔🤣🤣 I have been following you for a while I like to know are you doing. any giveaways on your hot chili oil you talk about it so much. I would love to taste it.
That looks reeeeaaaal authentic. We need real legit Chinese food in the States rather than Panda Express
I am in the NJ/NYC area. Can I pick up the hot oil somewhere nearby? The shipping is steep but I NEED MORE!
yup! stop by bentos on 32nd street
