Here is a comparison between the new Cinema Camera 6K and the BMPCC6K Pro.
Since I’ve started to share content using the new camera one of the most popular questions I received was “How does it compare to the 6K Pro” or "Should I upgrade from the 6K Pro to the new one.”
So I thought I would make this video to hopefully help you make a decision.
In this video I focus on Theirs similarities, The differences , The pros of each of these cameras. And share my thoughts on whether or not I think it is worth the upgrade, or which one I think you should get.
I will also show you what the same focal lengths and lenses look like on both cameras.
As well as a quick Rolling Shutter comparison.
Let me know if you have any questions :).
Cheers,
Flo

Here is a comparison between the new Cinema Camera 6K and the BMPCC6K Pro.
Which one would you pick and why?
Cheers,
Flo
I will retire my 6K Pro as soon as the CC arrives on my workbench, for the following reasons: I prefer the flexibility of open gate filming and plan to shed all my 16/17:9 cameras over the next year. Internal CFExpress is a huge improvement over strapping SSDs to the rig, plus this frees up the USB-C for networking and upcoming integration with the new cloud workflow. The automatic proxies will also allow me to travel lighter for remote editing-at worst an even trade off with packing NDs. Plus having larger photo sites definitely matters for image quality. Rolling shutter? The difference compared with the 6K Pro seems negligible even at open gate, but what happens when filming 17:9? I bet the difference disappears. The CC 6k is definitely my camera of choice between the two.
@@waveland Great points! For my workflow, the 6K Pro is here to stay until something better comes along. The internal ND in my niche is invaluable as I am constantly moving from interior to exterior shots. Also, ProRes is the flavor of choice for many companies I currently work with as they are not all familiar or comfortable with BRAW files.
The full frame is a welcome addition but I feel is just a stepping stone into the L-mount. The next camera bodies will definitely be more feature packed I'm sure and bring some of those necessities I have into them. But for me, the CC is lacking in a few departments that just don't give it the edge. Cheers!
@@evanthecameraman I will deliver ProRes as needed, but much prefer to gather the underlying color data in BRAW. Then fine tune. Then render the required codec. To me it’s a fail safe against operator error.
@@waveland Totally agree, I shoot BRAW 90% of the time for that reason now.
@@waveland Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts!! This new cam definitely has a lot going for it.
The biggest improvement was them dropping the work “pocket” 😂.
Mines on order, cant wait to get it. I already have the 6kPro as well, so its the both of best worlds. 6kpro for outside work with the built in NDs, and inside the 6kCC for shallower depth of field and more image without having to back up against a wall to even try and frame a shot. As a narrative filmmaker, they both fit the bill perfectly. Thanks so much for this comparison.
Congrats!! Thanks for watching and for sharing your reasons for owning the two. Happy shooting!
And or, you can always just buy ND filters as theyre not that expensive, and you'll get a full frame open gate/anamorphic footage without any attachment. nd filters, battery, storage are easily add-ons for me. The only issue is the 6k footage staying at 30 fps whereas the 6k pro at 60fps, of course if you want that shot. Than I'll the 6k pro for that instance.
Man, excited to see the PRO version of the Cine6K FF.
Haha me too, that’d be amazing!!
That empty space in the file format/shooting menu beside Blackmagic Raw is screaming for ProRes (or something else to come) in future firmware updates.
When will its pro version be out?
@@matthewcheeI'd guess a year or two
It’ll be called the LUMIX S1H II hehehe
Always helpful info & experience here -- thanks Flo!
Thanks for the positive feedback!!
Hi Flo, very nice video as usual. Many thanks for your great work. I ordered my bmcc6k the same day it was announced. I will be using it alongside S5Il for FF L lenses and adapted EF. Also keeping my bmpcc4k and GH5ll for longer reach, portability and direct live streaming. The NDs on the 6k pro have a magenta shift and I returned it back. Instead using matte box or NISI circular NDs. I am using BM since the OG, I fell in love with the image. I don't mind making any camera work if it gives me a beautiful image. I was considering the 12K, but now waiting to receive my 6KFF with anticipation and I think I will be very happy with it. Take care, George
Hey, thanks for watching and for the positive feedback!! And congrats on the getting the new 6K I think you'll be pretty happy indeed :) Such a beautiful image in such a small body!
Really nice video, very well made, precise, and informative, many thanks, Mick.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback!!
The OLPF is a MUST. I got a Rawlite OLPF for my URSA G2 as soon as it was available. It was a game changer.
Having used the BMPCC4K, I can say that I love working with BRAW. Even though the 6K Pro has internal ND's, the Cinema 6K has the OLPF filter which reduces moire and IR pollution. Personally, as a filmmaker, I think rolling shutter has been blown out of proportion. Shots where there is a lot of horizontal whipping left to right would not end up in my edit. Even a whip pan would have RS that 99.9% of your audience wouldn't even notice. If you're only making your content for yourself, then sure, rolling shutter might bother you. But, if you're sharing your content with the outside world, most people would not likely notice rolling shutter much less care about it.
There's a lot of factors we filmmakers give credence to in order to justify our spending habits that general audiences neither notice nor care about. Rolling shutter is only one of them.
The problem with this is that often the most important factor is overshadowed, which is the story. It's truly putting the cart before the horse, but we continue to engage in GAS to fill in the voids of missing skillset.
Too much importance on what we're filming with rather than what we're filming. Contrary to popular belief, it's the pros that mostly get caught up in this.
Absolutely agree with the rolling shutter part. The normal consumer doesn't even know it exists, let alone notice it. Sometimes we sadly get too hung up on quite irrelevant things instead of simply creating. Camera companies use this to make us buy new gear every year even though we don't need it in 90% of the cases.
Thanks so much for this. SUPER thorough video.
Thanks for watching ☺️🙏
Thank you for this comparison. Much appreciated.
Glad you liked it!! Thanks for watching ☺️
Hi thanks for your videos!!! I have one question, how does it look compared to the 6k pro or even to the 4k what you crop the sensor for super 35 on 4k? Does it still keep a better image quality since it would use a larger sensor for the same resolution?
My one is arriving this afternoon! I am so exited 😆
Woohoo congrats!!
Wow ! Thank you for making and sharing this video, it's really well done and shows clearly the difference between the 2 cameras. But i agree with you it will be a tough choice to make: Personally i'm always drawn to full frame cameras for any applications mainly because FF has better resolution and less noise, but it also simplifies the lens choice and not having to convert focal length in my head before fitting a lens on the body. But When more focal length is needed then of course the smaller sensors have the upper hand. But in this particular case, not having the built-in ND and slower available frame rates just might be a show stopper for me. I'll have to really think about it, but your video will help me decide for sure.
Thanks for the positive feedback and for watching!!
Really is a tough choice for sure.
I love watching your videos, reviews, and filming. Great stuff. We appreciate you. I already have the 6K Pro, and I need another camera. I'm getting myself more into shorts and narratives. My dilemma is between the FF and Canon R5 C.
Thanks so much!! If you want to get into shorts and narrative I would highly suggest a dedicated cinema/video camera.
Getting another BM camera would also makes sense to match the two.
Thanks for replying. I also looked at the Nisi Athena Cinema lenses with the BMCC 6KFF. Would that even work being L mount? I'll do that if they become available to rent before committing. Thanks again... the other thing is the color science debate BM vs. Canon @@OfTwoLands
Great comparison. Tempted to pick up the FF mainly for shooting 4:3 Super35mm. Having a 4K 4:3 image to work from would actually be more useful than the 6K, slightly smaller Super35 sensor of the Pro.
Thanks!! Having 4:3 S35 and 3x2 6K OG in this new camera is pretty cool and very flexible.
Good video! Thanks for making it.
That image pop on the FF is really noticeable, this was incredibly informative.
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching :)
Thank you very much for the comparison. How about low light performance?
This is an incredible review, very detailed and straight to the point, I agree it can be a tough decsion to make but I'm leaning more towards the 6k Cinema Camera, that Full Frame and image quality alone is enough to pursuade me!
Really glad you enjoyed it, thank you!! The new 6K is definitely an impressive cam :)
Who knew engagement would lead to you making a video that answers all my questions! 😂 Thanks Flo! Another great breakdown.
Haha thanks for stopping by ☺️🙏
I think it would be nice to compare it to the Panasonic S5 II X because it has an L-mount, it's full-frame, and it can record in ProRes and BRAW. Additionally, it features phase autofocus instead of contrast-based autofocus. At this price point, it might be a deciding factor.
It can’t record pro res…
ProRes RAW only with Atomos Ninja @@mabitzz9484
@@mabitzz9484it can but only 1080p internally
I can see this being an additional camera. I currenty own a BMPCC4k and I feel the FF6k to be a great addition to the camera stash. I really could see me using the FF6k as a main and the 4k for B-roll and secondary shots. (for client work I've been doing coroporate interviews) I do love the open gate, it gives me 70mm IMAX film vibes. The field of view with a FF sensor gets me excited also. That's a big drawback for me with the Pocket4k. I use vintage Canon FD lenses and constanly wish I could have a bigger flied of view. The FF6k fits that bill really nice.
I am in a real similar position and use the same set up!!
Looking forward to the Pro version of this new camera. Great review and comparison footage! Really puts the full frame into perspective.
Thanks mate!! A Pro version would be amazing, probably needs a new body though.
Revisited this video with the crazy sale on B&H. Thank you for going so in depth with the comparison! Loving the image. Are you still using the FF in light of the new PYXIS and CINE 12K coming out?
I just purchased this camera (I was so excited that it was finally available) and it’s arriving in a few days! I have a question for you though. How is the super 35 mode? Does it still retain the same depth of field, image, low noise floor, and lowlight performance as open gate since it’s on the full frame sensor? Basically I’m asking if it becomes a juiced out 6k pro on the super 35 mode, or does the noise floor and problems of the 6k pro start to sneak in?
Great video mate! I just love seeing the L Mount Alliance grow, so many options and having the same mount is just a breezy. Have you tried the Sigma FP?
Thanks mate!! I haven’t no, I actually considered it as a b cam/travel cam years ago but didn’t pull the trigger.
@@OfTwoLands gotcha, I'm looking at different options as to what I shall acquire in the very near future, I was thinking of getting the S5iix and pairing it with a FP but with this release from Blackmagic I'm thorn haha.
Also, this might just be me but since I don't like filming with SSDs too much I think the addition/replacement of the CFexpress to the BMCC is a top notch addition!
Ty for this review. Its nice to hear the oros and cons from some one who used both cameras instead of youtubers being salty that black magic didnt give them one early.
Ff is the obvious choice for me because it has more variety of choices of lenses to pick 5 then of the 6k pro, which feels like more lens brands are moving away ftom ef mounts every day.
Very thorough review.
☺️🙏
Thank you very much for the informative video. God bless.
Thanks for watching ☺️🙏
Great video - appreciate the effort. One question though - at 2:39sec why was the sensor comparison shown like that. The Ef mount is larger that the Leica mount, but it appears to be cropped in less making the sensor seem way smaller than it supposed to be. Just an observation.
Thanks for watching!! I grabbed the images from the actual BM website and they were for illustration purposes hence why I wrote down the real dimensions :)
Flo - Thanks so much for for this detailed comparison. It is very helpful! Sounds like you really like the image quality of this camera. I know you have shot with the 12k as well. How would you say that the 6kFF stacks up against the 12k for image quality. Thanks again for your thoughts.
Thanks so much for watching!! I haven't shot with the 12K in a while so it hard to say for me. They are both beautiful and above the Pocket line. Maybe I prefer the new 6K because of the sensor size :)
the footgae shot on these are incredible. especially the Pro. but is a worthy upgrade over the old 6k G2?
Good presentation on the differences between the 6k pro and 6k full-frame!
Thank you!! Glad you liked it ☺️
Very nice. How about a metabones on the 6k pro .. to have a simulated sensor size of the same height as the FF ? Would it compare nicely, regarding the image uality / separation ?
Great comparison, hope to see more.
👍🏻📸☀️☕🌴🌋🏝
Thank you :) !!
Really good video!! Just one question not many people seem to talk about, do the lower resolution options imply a windowed/cropped sensor area? Thanks a lot for your efforts :)
Thanks a lot!! I think anything that is not in 6K (ie s35 4K) has a crop or uses a windowed sensor.
@@OfTwoLandsThanks a lot for clarifying :)
Great video. The slimming down of the body is a nice addition but its just still not a big enough of an upgrade to warrant ME picking it up.
Thanks for watching!! And that’s fair ☺️
Did they fix the major issues from the previous 6k? The random audio drift? did it get ibis?
Hi! Great video! What anamorphic lens did you use on the full frame camera?
Thanks!! Great Joys :)
I'm surprised they dropped the NDs! I have the 4K and was considering the 6K Pro recently. I'm glad I didn't upgrade.
Love the Video. Getting ready to pick up the Full Frame. Do you know if the Camera Cages that you own are compatible with the new Full Frame 6k? If so do you have a recommendation for a Cage? Thank you and I hope you have a lovely day and happy shooting.
Thanks!! I use the cage from the Pro and it does the job, not perfect though.
Does the 6K Full Frame include the Gyro data in BRAW files for stabilization?
Thank you @OfTwoLands What about autofocus? That is also a big difference isn't it? How does the autofocus perform on the full frame?
Very nice video! May I ask you what lenses did you use for filming in anamorphic? Thanks!
Great Joy / Blazar 1.8x :)
Great review
Thanks!!
I don't know if it's gonna be this one. Definitely love that image and i think it's the best looking one i've seen from Blackmagic, but an Ursa body with this sensor, ND, V mount battery, faster processing for rolling shutter. Well that'd just be 😚👌 ...real nice.
Yes it would be!! :)
For anyone wondering, full frame doesn't give you a more shallow depth of field at equivalent focal lengths to Super 35. At 7:57 he shows this by (not quite exact) matching field of view, and showing the same bokeh at 35mm. Only things that changes depth of field is if you change your focal length to match the same field of view or moving the camera to match field of view. That's what's changing the depth of field, not the sensor size.
Anyways great shots and comparison
since the difference is about x 1,84 toward the full frame, you mean that for equivalent bokeh/seperation, you'd need roughly a 90 mm on 6k pro as an equivalent for a 50 mm on a 6k FF, right ?
i'm wondering about the 6k FF with a metabones ..
In practice it does change depth of field, but in a kind of counter intuitive way. What changes is the relationship of field of view and depth of field and the end result it produces. Technically the depth of field is the same or near-same for the same focal lengths, but because it is giving you a wider field of view than S35 at the same distance, the end result is you will get a shallower depth of field for the same field of view, because the camera position must be brought back to achieve the same field of view, affecting the depth of field. This is why when taken to the extreme with something like an IMAX capture you get that distinct wide but shallow look.
Thank you Flo, great presentation as usual. I'm very curious to see how the Meike S35 lenses would look on this full frame open gate. I'm certain there would be vignetting but how much? Reason for my curiosity is a video done by CVP where Meike S35 lenses were tested on an 8K full frame red camera. There was surprisngly only a small amount of vignetting but was easily fixed with a slight crop in. I am aware there is a super 35 crop mode on the new 6K FF so I wonder how that looks as well. Thanks for your vids and look forward to your next review. Cheers!
Thank you for the positive feedback!! I actually didn't try them since I thought they wouldn't work at all and I have the 6K Pro too but I will have a go asap and see as that would be interesting! Although the image circle on this new camera is massive so I doubt it'll work.
@@OfTwoLands give it a shot I'd love to know the outcome 👍
At 7:58, it seems like the new camera have a darker picture, with a slight reddish tint to it.
Looking at the skin tone of the figurine, I am guessing that the more neutral color of the old one is more correct.
Being able to look at the object and compare it to the picture. Which one is closer to the correct color?
Can’t wait to get mine!
Can’t wait to see what you do with it mate!!
Thank you so much ❤
No worries, thanks for watching!!
Hi! Would you still use NiSi IRND on bmcc FF or the new OLPF filter is enough to get rid of IR pollution?
Hi Flo! I was curious if the Tilta cages will fit the new CC6k (from the PC6k non pro)
Hey, I have no idea actually as I have never used that one :(
Thanks for the in-depth review! I feel the BMCC 6K is the perfect camera to pair with a Lumix S5IIX. What one lacks, the other makes up for.
Great comparison. One thing in wondering, is the fan louder or quieter on the FF?
Thanks!! Haven’t noticed a difference so far but I’ve also only used the camera outside.
I currently own two BMPCC 4K's and wish I bought the 6K Pro instead for the internal ND's, higher resolution and bigger sensor. Now I am torn because this camera came out and I want to sell my two 4K's and either get this camera or a used 6K Pro and a good photo camera for time lapses. Which I didn't see anyone post about regarding this camera. Does it have the same Off Speed Recording features as the pocket line?
which one is the better choice for filming Musicvideos? ( i m thinking about purchasing one, but i m not quite sure wich one i should pick) i m a beginner and i m a little bit confused. 🤔
Looking foreward to BMCC 6K PRO. I hope for 2x cfexpress type B, dual slot recording, NDs and 6K FF at 60FPS
That would be sweet!!
Hey.. think you forgot to compare the low light and noise. I'm curious as the dynamic range is the same BUT does the FF sensor with bigger pixels allow the FF 6K to have better low light?
something i didnt see covered which im interested in: does the FF have much better lowlight naturally? might also be something to consider for run and gun shooters. Do they both still have gyro for stabilization?
I haven't shot in low light yet and from what I can tell based on my experience so fare I think the 6K FF is gathering more light but can't quantify it.
Hey Flo, I heard someone say that for the Pocket 4K, they like to record ProRes HQ HD to soften the image a bit, bc the 4K is a bit over sharpened comparatively. As someone who loves the softer filmic looks of the OG BMPCC, I’m wondering if shooting BRAW in HD would achieve a similar effect on the full frame Pocket 6k (being that it doesn’t shoot ProRes)?
8:48 Despite the narrow FOV, I would disagree that "the figurine just pops (on the FF) compared to the 6K Pro". Better separation on the Pro... I would say that pops more.
Do you think 6k Pro cages (like the Tilta cage) would fit the Cinema 6k?
For the benefit of those of us who use the camera for weddings, your next test should be low light at ISO 3200 and 6400. Interested in seeing if it is usable at ISO 6400 like my Panasonic s5IIX. On 6kpro, ISO 6400 is trash. BTW, your film converter is the best. It works great across all the cameras except on Fuji. It's not the best for Fuji, but it's excellent for Black Magic, Panasonic, and Canon. Not sure if I am doing something wrong with it when it comes to Fuji.
The BMCC 6K FF seems to be pretty good in low light: ua-cam.com/video/dh1o7mZElCA/v-deo.html
can't wait to see low light test/comparison
I'll keep that in mind, doing my best to answer everyone's questions with videos and comments :)
Interesting comparison. I'm debating between these two as a personal camera and I'm strongly leading towards the flexibility of the Pro, not just for the NDs but also because of ProRes support. I can definitely see a world in which I would want the Full Frame for certain projects but, to me, that feels more like the type of project I'll be renting gear for anyway. Being forced to shoot in RAW all the time (even with proxies); makes it hard for me to think about his camera as something I can just pick up at a moment's notice and go shoot some B-roll with. Right now the 6kFF feels like a half measure. I really wish they'd included a better form factor, NDs, Pro Res recording if they were going to upgrade. I think a lot of people would have been willing to pay an extra $500 - $1000 for some of these features.
Hi Flo - can you shoot S35 and S16 with the full field of view of the sensor or will those resolutions always record with a crop?
Hey, I think there’s always a crop with these two!
I read that the new bmcc 6k has 4 internal microphones. Can you share some details of the same. I love recording moments with my kids, and a good internal stereo microphone would be so good. Thanks
I miss a comparison of performance and noise at certain light levels. I'm assuming the C6K will require less light ergo a higher ND.
Hi, 01:49 when you say "in addition", do you mean backup capacity?
Cheers
I meant you can ‘also’ use external ssds to record and not just use the internal media.
what a beautiful place! id love to see that out my window lol thanks for the informative video mate
Thanks for watching 🙏🏔️
how is low light performance on the Cinema Camera 6K? lots of reviews saying 3200 is noisy. Some people on the Blackmagic Forum saying that new firmware has caused issues with low light performance on older cameras. Wondering if it's a firmware bug in the new camera and not inherent of the sensor?
images look crazy good!........i have a a7siii and an fx3 and if I'm not mistaken, the quality seems better! can you tell me if its because you shoot raw or it the color grade???.........good stuff here!👍🏾😎
Thank you!! I haven’t used the Sonys so I can’t really compare but blackmagic has always been known for their image and I’m used to grade it ☺️
Please, tell me your secret of sequence settings to get the same frames
Do you have a comparison video of the Canon R5 and BMPro 6k.
I was thinking I could use DJI gimbal to get auto focus on the BMPro but idk
Unfortunately I do not own or have access to the R5.
You should have tested the field of view in the other recording modes. I'd love to see the Sigma 18-35 in the Super 35 mode in comparison to the 6K Pro.
I'll keep that in mind, doing my best to answer everyone's questions with videos and comments :)
What lenses do you recommed for the FF camera ?
Also, would it be good enough for photography ?
Thanks.
I’ll make a video about my recommended lenses once I’ve used enough different ones :).
And whilst you can take stills with this cam I always prefer to use a dedicated photo camera or just my phone.
Bro, the shot @3:20 its amazing, that shot alone made me a suscriber lol
Thanks so much 🙏🌊
Good review and I am going to buy bmcc 6k seeing your vid. thanks.
Thanks and congrats!! Happy shooting 🎥
I think if the 6K FF is sharper, it's because it's making use of more glass. If you only use a small part of a lens for the same pixel resolution, then you're magnifying resolving limitations of a given lens.
6k FF has 0.5 more dynamic range than the pro. Also you can replace the sigma 18-35 with the sigma 24-70. Even though I like to shoot low light anamorphic and there are more options out there for the FF than the pro, I'd wait for them release a upgraded version of FF or at least adding more recording formats. The box format is not 100% required if they just make the camera internally use bigger npf battery.
I know that you use Artlist for your music, but do yo mind sharing the name of the music track used in this video?
Would love to see some footage of vintage lenses using open gate like the Helios and Canon FD.
I just bought an adapter to use my Contax Zeiss :)
Thanks for making this video. Question: How good is the quality of the .H264 proxies?... can they be used as social media clips?
No worries, thank you for watching!! The proxies are ok, more to edit with than actually use as finals. Maybe you could use them for socials or to view on phones but they are pretty soft. It depends on the type of footage really. If the footage doesnt require a huge mount of dynamic range then it's actually ok.
@@OfTwoLands Thank you for replying
@@OfTwoLands one more question: what's the estimated battery life, with and without the battery pack extension?
The choice comes down to Internal NDs vs Full Frame sensor. That's a tough call. I'm curious though, why with a full frame sensor, the new BMCC6K is advertised with only 13 stops of dynamic range, the same as the APS-C Pocket 6Ks. My one complaint with image quality in my BMPCC6K is low-light performance, so I would hope the new larger sensor would provide an extra stop in the shadows.
It sure is a tough call! To me this sensor gather more light but I haven’t used it in low light yet so can’t really compare. I’ve always find the 6K cameras to be ok in low light and also to be very easily cleaned in post when shooting raw.
@@OfTwoLands I agree!
have you tried the in built gryo stabilisation with 6k FF? i use it a lot with the pcc6k camera
I haven't no since I still use IS lenses.
Appreciated but the question is quite simple. If you have the 6k pro and you are going to do a shoot why would you swap it out and choose the FF version instead. Are you going to grab a whole new set of lenses?? No. Shallower dof without auto focus just makes focusing more difficult given this camera has no af compared to say a c70 4d or fx3 fx6?? Landscapes generally dont need more width given a general rule is accessibility. A sharper image sure but the 6k is plenty sharp enough for most use cases and social. If shooting open gate the image will have to be cropped as a deliverable so youll be losing sensor real estate? Shooting outside which is what you seem to do most if the time surely needs nd?? Maybe the internal nd on the pro isn’t good enough?? Shooting anamorphic is the only reason and given how much more weight anamorphics generally are how is this form factor suitable? Likewise it’s unlikely youll want to shoot landscapes with anamorphic because if the distortion. If its for narrative then A kinefinity mavo would make more sense for anamorphic. Locking mounts?? Sdi. The ff pro is still a camera that cannot be shouldered mounted. Not particularly gimbal friendly. As alternatives go unless it had genlock or sdi an olpf doesn’t seem enough of an upgrade despite how obvious a short fall it was without. I cannot see the use case or when it would make sense to carry these two different cameras around. Lenses?? Though some may think that this new model is an improvement it solves none if the immediate issues why so many people have given up on bm. Given you shoot landscape’s and for ljbrary i just don’t understand why you dont use the new 12k with olpf???
Thanks for your detailed opinion. I actually used the same lenses on the 6K FF, just with an adapter. And full frame does help with landscape and depth, that I can confirm. And I don't use the 12k because as a solo shooter I prefer the Pocket body especially when hiking for hours or when traveling.
Merci!! Et oui toujours dans la region :)
Haha ca serait la camera ultime!!
Thanks for this video. I can't wait to get this camera. Also, from the video, these cameras will match perfectly. Do you think so?
Thanks for watching!! And yes, I think they will match pretty easily. Even though the 6K FF as more details and depth and a superior image overall they still look similar in terms of colours and general look.
@@OfTwoLands Perfect, thank you!
Thans for this video help me to be sure wish one is the best opcion to invest. i have a question. What CFexpress card work with the 6k Full frame?
Thanks for watching!! I have used both the Wise Pro and Prograde Gold without any issues :)
@@OfTwoLands Thanks i din´t find the info about it and i making the buget for all the thinks i need to the 6k full frame. So a Prograde Gold 1700 mbs type b woud be a good option?
Loving the Naruto stand ins. Thanks for the video!
Haha was waiting for someone to comment, thanks for watching ☺️🙏
Thanks for comparison, can i use the cage of bmpcc pro with bmcc 6k?
Thanks for watching! Yes, it’s not perfect but it works 👍
My English is not very good, may I ask which color is better, more cinematic, is there a significant difference in color
Those open gate shots look like picture frames but that rolling shutter makes the pro seem like the only practical option
Wow the 6k FF.. remind me to ori 4k (slimmer) vs ori 6k (bulkier). Any change to test w/native L lens? Not really fans of mount adapter (make it more bulkier).
I will test it with a native L lens asap! So far this adapter has been very solid even though I don’t like adapters in general I’ve been very happy with the sigma.
Thanks for the side by side
Thanks for watching!!
How about lowlight performance of new FF sensor compare to S35?
I actually haven't shot in low light yet but I intend to asap :)
Loved that comparison. It takes more sense when you realize that Blackmagic made a good decision in my opinion by producing a new camera that would not replace the older version but that would focus on other aspects. I found the crop factor explanation very useful and was wondering if it has a crop zoom mode such as the PIXEL│PIXEL mode I have on my GH6. Can be useful sometimes when you dont't bring all of your lenses with you for a project but want some close up shots. Cheers !
Thanks brO!! And I agree, this is can be used with or instead of the Pro.
I'm not familiar with the crop mode of the GH6 but you can shoot in different crops with this one like S35 or S16 for example :).
The only one thing that I want from BM is Dual card recording. Have a ever experienced any card failures with the 6k pro? Do you use only cast with it?
Never experienced any card failure with either of the original 6K or the Pro. I use both CFast and SD with the Pockets but mostly CFast.
@@OfTwoLands Thanks for your reply. I use SD cards with my BMPCC4Ks and always fear losing data. Never had a failure though. OCD may be 😁
