I don't recall having a binding issue. If people have noises, there's a good chance it's the strut bearing or they didn't install the spring end into the little rubber piece on the bottom correctly
@@derrickgarcia303 I'd probably look at reviews for them. In theory they should all be pretty comparable because they should be targeting a close rate that pairs with the stock damper rate. Some companies may lean to a higher spring rate that favors a more sporty ride, but compromises on comfort. I thought the 034 rate was matched pretty well in this case, but it can be fairly subjective.
Typically lowering springs do not impact DCC, but I can't say for sure as my car does not have DCC. We did install lowering springs on my buddy's 8V RS3 that has DCC and we had no issues with it.
Shoulda replaced the mounts while you were in there.
The tophats in the front? And the things in the rear?
just the front. they tend to have short life spans
@@dirk5950 good to know! Thanks for the insight
The sensor on the rear isn't for DCC it's for your xenons.
Genius! Auto leveling to the rescue!
Do you have to replace with the new bolts/nuts for those one-time use? Thanks!
It's recommended, but I didn't replace mine and they didn't call off 🤷♂️. #I'mnotalawyer
Looks gewd
I really like where the finished ride height ended up!
@@HardwayLearning I bought them as well but too lazy to deal with the front struts haha
Any binding noises with these? Im about to pull the trigger on these but keep reading that they make noise over bumps.

do you need to torque down the bolts to the excact ft Ibs?
There's probably a 5 ft-lb window that's fine, curious why you ask?
@@HardwayLearning so i’ll need a torque wrench?
@@jshest7188 there's plenty of people who don't use torque wrenches, but I recommend you use one personally 🤷♂️.
@@HardwayLearning ok thanks!
How does it compare to your MSS ride quality?
Pretty similarly, the GTI doesn't have DCC so you get what you get sort of deal. I think it was well worth it to go to a full coilover though!
@@HardwayLearning trying to decide if I should spend the money for MSS or go for 034. Any thoughts?

What size are those rims are they 18" or 19"?
They are 18's 👍 wrapped in 225/40r18
Does the DCC system still work with these?

It's recommended to replace any aluminum torque to yield bolts. I do not think I replaced any for this install.
