they get hoarded fairly often like any coin that may be a collectible one day, i’ve seen a few 2009’s in the register at my job but all very circulated. there’s 4 different reverse designs that are all very pretty
I am a Old Man in Florida I have a big bag of pre 1964 pennys many in the 20's and 30' and some Indian Heads I have them so long I almost forget I have them.
Wtf I was looking at pennies and playing this in the background and immediately when I realized I was looking at a 2014 double die penny, he starts talking about it🤣
I remember walking to the neighborhood store as a kid in the 80's and buying candy with pennies.

I remember walking ablock and turning two houses down(meaning I was out of sight ) then crossing the street to get stuff for Mom at late 6 to 7 years old! 2 to 3 bucks would get a glass bottle of soda each, 2 candy bars and an assortment of suckers, fireballs and random gummi creatures, with change. The biggest risk was me stopping on the way back to sample things😊 I don't want my 12 year ol d making that trip these days. Community is wrecked.
It would have been a lot more interesting to see a normal penny side by side. Especially on the double stamped ones, so people can tell the difference.
Yes. For some of the double dies with the date or "Liberty", I didn't see anything strange. I guess I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking for.

Look for pennies from 2000-2009 too! I have an unknown year light strike. Can only make out the two middle digits that are both 0. Weight is 2.6g so it wasn't worn and is zinc. Blank areas look sanded but still copper colored. The sanded look might be just the raw planchet as the weight is correct. Backside looks normal.
What do u weigh it with. And why? I'm new and confused 😮
@@EXPLOREWITHME. Digital scale. Weight can find counterfeits. On pennies weight can determine whether they're copper or zinc. 3.1g=copper, 2.6g=zinc.
Manifestation is real. Mining for gold “praying for riches/gold” only fell out of limelight due to era changes. “Ask and it is given”. Open minds are all we need to win the lottery. Just because it’s not the MegaMillions or Powerball we miss out on our prayers being answered. Namaste
I have over 1700 error pennies. Some are popular errors others l've never seen published. They include errors like 1969,'55 dd,1984,'97 double ear.l have a dd of every minted Lincoln memorial pennies, doubling in shield pennies. Double dates,double pillars, some real interesting ones like Lincolns figure between every column in the memorial etc..
Also many many errors in wheat years.
Cuds,die breaks die chips, struck off center, double struck..
Including original errors probably never seen by anyone else.
I've collected them in over forty years of searching through millions of pennies.

I really like your program. A suggestion? It would be great to split screen between the error coins and a normal coin so us novices will see the difference right away.
I know my penny does not fit into this era but i try to watch all your videos and just found a 1984 no mint that ive had a while in my book that has such an obvius strike through obverse with like three different dates!! Im so excited this penny also has serious die breaks or die clash,im new at this and I'm trying to learn the correct words. Thank you for all your help! ❤
Philadelphia didn't put a mint mark on their pennies .Except for 2017.If it's a proof it will have a "s" on it for San Francisco."D" is for Denver or you might just have an error.

I avoid myths and fairy tales of which god is one of them. He doesn't exist.
Grade & auction that thing, or take clear pics and sell online yourself.
I have a1948 wheat back that looks like two bits of copper where fused together then stamped
I’ve seen pennies that look like the split die but I just thought they were scratched in someone’s pocket. I’ll definitely start looking closer.

Great video, but the 2022D Lincoln 1DR-001 is still a pretty nice DDR that for what ever reason has yet to be talked about. Find that strange 🤔

I have a collection of wheat Pennies that are double died can you do a video on those from 1920 to 1957
I have a lot as well. I've been watching too much I suppose because honestly since I've found out what doubling looks like I can look at any of my wheat pennies and see it now lol

Thanks for the info, but as many of us really don’t pay that much attention to the penny or any other coin for that matter, since most of on the poor side of tracks have been too busy trying to eek out a living and paying on bills, etc, including food prices going up, that we save every penny just to keep ourselves afloat in a storm of uncertainty on where our next paycheck will come from….I used to collect coins for my children, but that stopped when they were all stolen, and I lost everything. 😔. And as you said, there also has to be a market for them….no market, no sale…..then it just sits in a collection catching dust and becomes worthless. 😥

Hey, I found the 1983 penny from a roll penny that has no mint mark, but what is weird. It has an outline of California state stamped on it with the letters CA in it could this be from the mint or done by someone who fake it
It is called a counter stamp. There are those who collect them but I don't think they bring too much of a premium
There are a lot of them out there.They are not mint made and are not only of states,l have discovered a lot of them. They're cool to collect and are very well inscribed.
A 1983 penny with no mint mark is from Philadelphia.

Great advice o. G. Why should I say goat? You've been around a long time Then I'm super happy for you. I hope things are working out. My advice is looking at every coin. Except from 1973 through 1979 I don't even bother. I go sell them as copper weight to the coin Store. I get two and a half cent for one penny

If they aren’t graded does that mean they cleaned them or that they are fake? Why wouldn’t one just grade them? Does it have to be over a certain amount ? How do you KNOW the amount if not graded and looked at by a professional?
The misstrikes are so common, that people started collecting them and trying to get every year.
I have an unusual penny that has a satin finish obverse with the usual bright shiny reverse.

The Boxes Seal was broken. 😁👌i Did get the Lincoln Professional Coin reading the Book to Complete the 4 Coin set, is the 4 Coin set still Worth $312 😳

i love you new collectors you call everything errors most of the stuff he has show have not been double strikes at all ---- a true collector would be telling you the correct coins to look at .. not just years cuz each year they make 3 coins a D a S and a P or Plain ...

I was a coin collector as a kid and then in the 1980s I was a slot machine repair mechanic now i am 110 years old but I know about slugs and how to make them I have seen how these machines were cheated. I would not call these thumb pennies double die. If you look at the ICONIC double Die The coin I think of with that word to me it is the 1955 Double Die penny. all the lettering is doubled and that is hard to reproduce these are more like die error and might have been intentionally created. Remember we are talking about the evil intrusive US Government. I say that as a former crewman of the USS Stonewall Jackson SSBN 634 . Anyway good video fun I guess
