All nice enclosures, but yes I really like the last one. The Pathos just really makes an enclosure so pretty.
So I've started putting moss in my tarantulas enclosures and they don't like it for some reason, they are always picking it up and putting it somewhere else 😂, it's kinda funny 😅 but a bit annoying too! Love your video btw, such cute spicy tarantulas ❤🕷❤
My webbers seem to like making tunnels with it and stuff but yeah otherwise they just ignore it or push it around 😂
After many months of research, thinking and preparation I finally took the plunge and got my first T earlier this month! It's a T. albo I named Easy Mac and it's the cutest! I'm so excited to watch it grow and really looking forward to the day I get to prepare another enclosure and rehouse it. I love watching your videos, the feeding and rehousing ones are always fun!
Yesterday I had to transfer 100+ Theraphosa blondi from one container to another and it was not fun also it took so long, I was exposed to so much urticating hair which got into the palm of my hands got them on my arms, I got rashes, got an allergic reaction and my nerves in the palm of my hands are freaking out and any slight touch on them hurts

As someone who is severely scared of spiders I can’t help but watch spiders do spider things and think that they are kinda cool to watch and something to be respected

I've a Brazilian Blue Thrixopelma Lagunas, which is growing at a steady rate. You are so right with the A. Gericulata the food response it crazy. Yet when I fed mine the other day, it decided to take the food gently ( I think it's broke) 🤣😂🤣😂. Cool rehousing, I really need to send some pet pics. Happy Holidays Kat & family.

We've bought 3 Tarantula Cribs so far, and love the duel lids that come with them. Found that using the lid covered in holes for the summer, and the other in the winter, seems to work well to help regulate their temperature.

The rocks thing up to a point is likely fine. That particular rock is bigger than I would use but I just have the thought that it should be small/light enough for the T to push it off. roughly their size. My hamorii has a small piece of polished jasper they love to sit on.

I watch my P. Irminia bring a clump of dirt from her burrow directly into her water dish every other day like clockwork, she never puts it anywhere else. I'm convinced she's doing it just to spite me

Hello Kat, I am new to being a spider mom. Your videos have given me so much insight and helped me understand more about spiders. I have one, wild caught, Carolina Wolf spider (my son named her Apple) She is a very large girl and her features are changing. I wish I could ask you a few questions maybe send a pic or two. It is hard to google for information when you dont know correct terms for things...Like "why is my spiders butt getting bigger?" And, "hey google! that star, around her spinnerette, is it new or am I just noticing it...what does it mean!?" It seems that most Google suggestions end up telling me to call an exterminator🙄. Can you help?😬
Water dishes, yeah some critters put their garbage in there. Whatever they throw out that's why some don't want water in them.

My Brazilian blue is sooo aggressive now:( if I move anything near her it's instant threat posture and kicking her beautiful orange/red hairs :( she was just bolty to start as a sling but now that she's gotten her size she's so mean now. her name is bluey pray for her to calm down???!!!!! 🥺
put a pebble in the bottle of the water dish so its not so deep and she could get out if needed.
P sazimai. In general are they quite chill or skittish by nature. I know it can vary from specimen to specimen, I get that but I have heard the majority say they are normally quite chilled with a few saying they are skittish and quite defensive?

Do you keep your adult tarantulas in the large sliders too? I have an adult curly hair and plan to get a few other adult terrestrial species but I was just wondering if the large was big enough for them. Thanks

How many spiders do you have?
Ended up having to do an unplanned suprise rehousing. As a very new tarantula owner Im still a bit nervous. So today I was going to feed Beasty a cricket. The damn cricket just crawled up in a corner and wouldnt move. So I was just going to touch it very gently with a brush. The damn thing freaked out and ran down my Ts tunnel and ended up right behind the the T. I decided to take a very thinn barbacue stick to stick down the side of the enclosure infront of the cricket to scare it back out if the tunnel... That didnt go as planned at all.. A tiny part of the tunnels roof feel down on the cricket and closed it up. So now I was terrified that the T couldnt get back out and I also didnt know if the cricket would dig it self out to once again be close behind the T. So I gently dug away the dirt until I found the cricket and the T. At this point a rehousing was the easiest way to go.. To anyone that has read this far: Could my T have been able to dig its way back out after a part of the tunnel was closed by the roof?
I know this is a comment from ages ago and you're probably not so nervous these days but thought I'd just reply anyway for other people reading - yes your T would almost certainly have been able to dig its way out no problem, like unless there was an absolute MOUNTAIN of substrate on it. Sometimes they will close up their own tunnels for whatever reason, like in pre-molt, and you can just leave them to it and not worry. They're good diggers, a little tunnel collapse is generally just an inconvenience. You also didn't really have to worry about just leaving the cricket in there with the T for a few hours! You probably know all this by now, it's normal for new owners to be nervous, and better than being over-confident and careless 😁 Hope it's all going well for you!
