Happy Thanksgiving! Disclaimer: These species of tarantula featured in this video are known to have big appetites and respond quickly to food, however towards humans they are shy, skittish and mostly docile making them really great pets!
Brachypelma sp., when observed to have bald patches, is usually a sign of stress but some fungals can do it as well. Youre fine as long as you dont observe exudate or crusting appearing similar to impentigo in humans.
Zelda was so gentle with her prey, it almost makes you wonder what goes on in her mind, because in my opinion that was an “oh, my food god has delivered sustenance, I must dance to give thanks”
I loved the shots you got of Zelda at the end. it was beautiful to watch her moving around. I noticed at one point that she almost looked like a cgi tarantula. It was really cool to watch. 🖤
Looked like she was webbing the worms together making a food net. Because she drug them both in and I noticed the webbing keeping the previous worm and the new worm in biting range. That's really clever
Those hornworms are so brilliantly colored they look artificial, so I imagined those spiders carrying around their Christmas stockings. Maybe when they carried them into their dens they were looking for a place to hang them up.
The music with Zelda moving around the worm and getting her web around it was fantastic to watch, therapeutic almost. It was fascinating to watch. Anyone who hadn't seen the video here would have thought this was documentary footage. Like you could almost get an idea of the thought processes this spider had. This was well shot.
I love your videos so much! You've helped me to overcome a 30 year long fear of spiders, and especially tarantulas. I even got my first pet tarantula this past weekend, an A. avicularia. It's very tiny right now, but I'm really excited to see how big it will get and to see its pattern and colors change as well :) Thank you again so much for all of your work!
I have a really bad case of arachnophobia... Yet I've always been intrigued by spiders. I could never really be around them physically but they are such a fascinating animal. I can't help myself when it comes to research and learning. I hope one day I can break free from the fear and own my own!
You know you were just like me. I had arachnophobia just like you and now I have T’s. I started off with a Rosie that was little more than a pet rock. Standard enclosure, enough for her to dig, and a water dish. She barely moved, and even when I gave her food she never bolted. Definitely docile enough and calm to get your toes wet
I have a two tarantulas as a pet and I it helped my arachnophobia. I still have it will most free spiders. But I touched a jumping spider the other day so that's a win
I hated spiders.. still don't "like" them but somehow I stumbled onto your channel. I feel like I am having exposure therapy and I appreciate you. I still though could never imagine living in a house with all these guys!!!!
I had never really considered a bird eater before, but both Zelda and the pink toe are so beautiful!!! The GBB used to be my dream tarantula but now one of them is a horned baboon so I was really happy to see yours. I love the feeding videos so much!
Zelda did such a beautiful dance for you. How precious is that!? You have some beautiful and adorable Spiders. I want to get a Spider so bad. Hopefully, someday :)
Really nice work, your videography is amazing, awesome shots and angles that allow the viewer to see many interesting details of your spiders and their behavior. Thank you Kat.
Love watching your feeding videos with the different species of tarantulas. It also helps me see how big my slings will get once they’ve grown. Love the dance, my A. Seemani does thus every time he gets a gummy worm
Succulent care kits have a bottle with a bent straw coming out that you can squeeze water from to fill those water dishes without squirting the spiders. I have one and keep thinking you need one too. Amazing collection you have. Nature is a wonder.
i'm soon going to get my first tarantula. i'm starting with the avicularia, i have a tall tarantula cribz-like cage waiting to be used. once i get paid and i do just a bit more research, i'll make the trip to get them 🤩
I’m new to tarantulas. I’ve always liked spiders though my daughter is an arachnophobe. I’d love to get one. They are so majestic. Thank you for all your information. I’m learning lots 🖤
Did anyone else think it was interesting that Zelda did a spinning dance because when you play the game those spiders also spin? That's kind of awesome!
You can't beat a good feeding video to watch just before bed 👍. I was wondering do you know why the last tarantula webbed up the gummy just to drag it into her den ? I was expecting her to leave it there or bite it and leave it there. Happy thanks giving from all us tarantula lovers in the UK 🇬🇧
I bought a little terrarium for a terrantula and I couldn't be happier for this! ❤! I love all your videos with your terrantulas! It's why I'm getting one! I couldn't be happier
Zelda was my favorite to watch she gave such a wonderful preparation to her meal. It was almost like she was thanking Kate for the worm. I've never see one do that before. An now feel a little less scared of them. An feel a lot more thankful for the important role they play.
I just can't help but thinking about a kid's baseball going through that window and now the whole neighborhood is done for lol. They're just waiting to get out
I have a few T's that aren't happy when I try to fill their water dishes too. So I got an extra large syringe and added a 6 inch piece of tubing to the tip. Now I have percussion watering.
I'm not a spider person, but am amazed with the way you deal with your 'pets'. Wanted to pass along a story my uncle told me that would have happened in the 1950's or1960's. Anyway, he was in the grocery store and reached into a box of bananas and a tarantula jumped out onto his arm and bit him. He was ok afterward, said the wound drained for a little bit afterward, but he went on to survive the experience ok, but did have a little scar on his arm where the 2 fangs had penetrated his skin.
It blew me away when I saw a friend had a water bowl for his tarantula. I'm like "it's not a dog". Then one night, I woke up to use the bathroom and there is a regular old house spider in the sink just chugging on some water. Well, whaddya know?
Gummy worm song Gummy worms, gummy worms, very big and blue Richard calls them hornworms but we know that's not true Spiders love to eat them, plump and full of juice Gummy worms, gummy worms tasty without dispute.
Oh man! Those toes and it hit the head! M Balfouri. WOW!! Zelda had the leftovers of another gummy worm and was like "Hmmm this one seems to keep moving" later she figures out "Oh! Hey! There is another one here?!?!?" and then "Oh! There is a new one here! GOTCHA!" lol
I think that your spiders are very beautiful and I really enjoy your videos and find them very interesting! Sadly-keeping exotics like this is banned in my country (NZ) but I really like seeing your pets.
Of have a fear of spiders but I think I'm starting to grow liking them BC I watch unboxing spider vids and now they are quite cool and I totally agree with u
I've been told and in my experience that tarantulas all need a place to hide that makes them feel secure. And I have seen several of yours that do not have a place to hide. Shame shame shame, only kidding but they do need a place to hide so that they feel secure and that helps them not be so aggressive also.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Disclaimer: These species of tarantula featured in this video are known to have big appetites and respond quickly to food, however towards humans they are shy, skittish and mostly docile making them really great pets!
Happy genocide day🥳
You need a bigger place lol.
And you are a coffee drinker
Brachypelma sp., when observed to have bald patches, is usually a sign of stress but some fungals can do it as well. Youre fine as long as you dont observe exudate or crusting appearing similar to impentigo in humans.
Zelda was so gentle with her prey, it almost makes you wonder what goes on in her mind, because in my opinion that was an “oh, my food god has delivered sustenance, I must dance to give thanks”
Zelda's interpretive dance really spoke to me
She’s so talented 😊
@@tarantulakat What is the little dance about?
@@vickiezaccardo1711 Its about webbing up the prey item to prevent it from coming together once it starts chewing it to pieces.
@@luffebassen thank you
@@vickiezaccardo1711 Preventing it from falling apart i meant.
My English is not always the best when im in a rush :D
You are welcome
Zelda doing some occult rituals to thank the human species who offered her a sacrifice before taking it to her lair.
I relate to these on a spiritual level: i like to stay still and be secluded, but will snag food quickly and retreat back to whatever lair i'm in
This is also myself aswell 😅💖🕷🕸
I loved the shots you got of Zelda at the end. it was beautiful to watch her moving around. I noticed at one point that she almost looked like a cgi tarantula. It was really cool to watch. 🖤
She’s so big sometimes when I’m watching her I feel like it’s not real 😅
@@tarantulakat that's exactly what it felt like at times! you could cgi some tall buildings under her and it would be perfect. 🤣
I was thinking she reminded me of what I see in my head for Shelob from LOTR. Big, beautiful girl!
Looked like she was webbing the worms together making a food net. Because she drug them both in and I noticed the webbing keeping the previous worm and the new worm in biting range. That's really clever
The calming music in the background made this video incredibly soothing. If we can call huge tarantulas eating live food soothing. 🤣
Those hornworms are so brilliantly colored they look artificial, so I imagined those spiders carrying around their Christmas stockings. Maybe when they carried them into their dens they were looking for a place to hang them up.
Thank u thought they were gummy worms then they moved so I had more questions lol
Ye it was so cool lol
Loved watching Zelda with her worm webbing it up enjoyed seeing it so up close with the hair and the music was ethereal and perfect accompaniment
THAT was just AWESOME! Thank you so much for sharing, and I'm so glad I noticed this in my feed :)
No pun intended.
The happy dance is soooo cute 🥰
She was wrapping it in web

Oh what an exciting time. First Tarantula! Have fun!
And maybe look for room for another one. It will happen lol
Pinktoes are very docile, 2 yrs later do you still have her? did you get any other species?
I have a really bad case of arachnophobia... Yet I've always been intrigued by spiders. I could never really be around them physically but they are such a fascinating animal. I can't help myself when it comes to research and learning. I hope one day I can break free from the fear and own my own!

Zelda is definitely my favorite of your collection, not because of the species, but because of how calm she is for her species.
I can't believe how healthy they all are! You are such a good 8 legs momma!
I noticed that while she was doing her little "dance", Zelda was actually webbing up her meal so it didn't move too far, smart Tarantula!
There needs to be a genre of videos where it's just tarantulas eating to zen music
I love how you just throw these worms at them. Like "EAT!!! HERE'S YOUR WORM SO EAT!!! 😡
I hated spiders.. still don't "like" them but somehow I stumbled onto your channel. I feel like I am having exposure therapy and I appreciate you.

I was not a fan of the “big brown tarantulas” and now they’re some of my 2 favorites lol.
Zelda’s shot was so beautiful, my god. Loved all your T’s but Zelda just blessed my eyes
Zelda did such a beautiful dance for you. How precious is that!? You have some beautiful and adorable Spiders. I want to get a Spider so bad. Hopefully, someday :)
That music at the end with zelda really did a great job of capturing the mystique of these awesome creatures. Well done.
1:27 its butt slightly lifting up before taking the worm... Was definitely ready to kick hairs if it wouldnt have been food 🤣
yes they are one of my most tiny hair kickers xD
I love feeding videos. Get to see so many tarantulas!
Really nice work, your videography is amazing, awesome shots and angles that allow the viewer to see many interesting details of your spiders and their behavior. Thank you Kat.
As an arachnophobe you are the bravest person on the planet to me 😮
The music... It felt magical watching her spin around. 👍👍
Love watching your feeding videos with the different species of tarantulas. It also helps me see how big my slings will get once they’ve grown. Love the dance, my A. Seemani does thus every time he gets a gummy worm
You’re the first woman I’ve ever seen that shows absolutely no fear of spiders. GOOD FOR YOU!👍👍👍👍👍👍
sexist much?
I find it really cute when the spider holds the prey before going to town like "? ... ! ^^^^ "
Zelda’s movement was almost… unsettling. Like a disguised dance. Loved it.
Succulent care kits have a bottle with a bent straw coming out that you can squeeze water from to fill those water dishes without squirting the spiders. I have one and keep thinking you need one too. Amazing collection you have. Nature is a wonder.

Awesome! Good luck :)
Ah a good long feeding vid ✨ amazing ✨ And blessed with a Goliath dance for the night 💃
Haha yes! Ty
Zelda's dance was beautiful! Perfect music too. I think she deserves a much bigger horn worm. She's a big magnificent Goliath!
I’m new to tarantulas. I’ve always liked spiders though my daughter is an arachnophobe. I’d love to get one. They are so majestic. Thank you for all your information. I’m learning lots 🖤
Aww my curly hair ( Nova) always dances when she eats . Always makes me smile 💕
The worms are quite smart as they freeze as soon as they get dropped in.
me going ew the whole time but still watching
why am i addicted
Wow almost something spirtual with Zelda, really beautiful mix of music and spider 🕷
The soothing music is much appreciated

Loved the cosmic ambience at the end with the delicate Zelda dance. Also celebrity stillshots of your spiders are great too. Great to see you posting

Those are my favorite worms that you are using to feed. I noticed that there weren't any crazy take downs but still enjoy watching
Love your collection! I am proud to say that I discovered Theraphosa apophysis, 1990 in Puerto Ayacucho, Venezuela.
Zelda's clip was EPIC!!! She is gorgeous!
These tarantula feeding videos of yours are very therapeutic :)
Wow this was an amazing video, that dance at the end almost seemed like a ritual. Very cool
Very cool... I love when you feed them gummy worms. They’re all so beautiful.
I still love how some of your tarantulas pounce on the worms, while others stare at them like, "uh...mom, what the poop is in front of me?"
That is one methodical Goliath. Slow, fang flutter and everything, oddly thats her scariest quality XD
Awesome take downs :D!!!, also when she played that music at the end I thought she was leading it up to that Zelda died 😅 but I'm glad she's okay
I had leopard geckos & they would mess them hornworms up 😭😭 they loved crickets, super worms, and hornworms. The female she ate EVERYTHINGGGGG
Even though I’m terrified of spiders I can watch’s this
I really enjoyed the last video of Zelda that came out really good.
Definitely would like to see more videos of her
I really like the animal bones in the enclosure!!!! Sooo cool. I’m going for a walk in the woods to look for some lol
"She's a really picky eater so maybe she'll eat". Went after that sucker like a dock worker after a plate of hot wings!
Love Zelda's feast dance! Lol happy Thanksgiving Kat :)
I just can't help but thinking about a kid's baseball going through that window and now the whole neighborhood is done for lol. They're just waiting to get out
The music at the end and Zelda dancing over the gummy worm made it feel like some kind of ritualistic sacrifice hahaha 😆
Am I the only one who got teary eyed during Zeldas dance with the music ambiance lol 🤷🏻♀️
I'm obsessed with your collection of spiders
I have a few T's that aren't happy when I try to fill their water dishes too. So I got an extra large syringe and added a 6 inch piece of tubing to the tip. Now I have percussion watering.

Could you put a tennis ball or something of a familiar size next to Zelda so we can realize her true size? Thanks. : )
Finally I can watch spider videos without being annoyed by the host over acting and tlaking nonstop. Cheers
3:00 never thought id say this but that spider is adorable and I love her
Zelda was obviously just doing a spider food ritual 🙄🤣
It blew me away when I saw a friend had a water bowl for his tarantula. I'm like "it's not a dog". Then one night, I woke up to use the bathroom and there is a regular old house spider in the sink just chugging on some water. Well, whaddya know?
The only kinds of spider i can tolerate watching
Oh I didn't mean aggressive ones haha. I mean tarantulas.
You give your tarantulas juicy delicious food it seems compare to other UA-camrs. Well done.
Zelda is so gentle even when eating ❤
These worms are super squishy. I like the idea..it is like a big pillow for the spiders ^^
That skeleton-leg tarantula is awesome looking. And Zelda is the Goliath bird eater right? Gorgeous spood
I love your spiders and watching them but I feel too bad watching those poor hornworms squirm to ever own one I think lol.
I really love the happy dance! So damn cute! 😆 🥰
I’m not gonna say it, but I will. You take notion “pet owners look like their pets” to another level. Jokes aside, love the videos.
Gummy worm song
Gummy worms, gummy worms, very big and blue
Richard calls them hornworms but we know that's not true
Spiders love to eat them, plump and full of juice
Gummy worms, gummy worms tasty without dispute.
beautiful
Lol 😂
The squirming of the poor worms is hard to take.
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video first time I've watched your UA-cam channel
Those worms are gonna make them full forever 🤣 awesome feeding!
There all beautiful and keep by one of the best spider keepers on UA-cam 💯😊
Go Kat 💃🏾 ♥️
Another fantabulous video Kat lved every second of it.... as always huge huggles from Scotland uk 🏴🤗🏴🤗🏴🤗🏴
I never knew about E murinus before but now they're going on my T wishlist! 😁 Such a cool fella
Look at Zelda webbing up her prey! Interesting.
Poor gummy worms, feel for them, although this is basically what happens in nature.
how much for these worms? are they cheap or expensive?
Awesome😍😍😍
I had Spiders myself.
And I loved my 3 Theraphosa Blondis.
The way you threw the worms at your Nhandu tripepii (Clover?) was hilarious😂❤️
You've got beautiful T's!
Dang!! Zelda got body LOL. This was entertaining/fun yet equally terrifying :). You go girl!
Zelda was wrapping her snack up for later
Anybody else jump away from their phone when the first tarantula teleported to the food
1:19 wow, I didn't actually see the spider until it started moving, it's camouflage worked really well in that soil.
"Very hair kicky, very skittish", proceeds to pelt her in the face twice😂
I think that your spiders are very beautiful and I really enjoy your videos and find them very interesting! Sadly-keeping exotics like this is banned in my country (NZ) but I really like seeing your pets.
