  • The sequence of service is the most important factor in ensuring your guests are receiving high-quality drinks and food service. As a food server or restaurant server, you have to know it.
    There are many differences between the sequence of service in a casual dining restaurant and the steps of service in a fine dining restaurant and therefore we have created a video for each case! Visit the
    www.thewaitersacademy.com/
    for the online waiter training course and get your waiter certificate.
    My first book is now available on Amazon. Find it here: amzn.to/3w5fnKD

    waitersnetwork.com/
    Here is a summary of the Sequence of Service in a Casual Dining Restaurant:
    1. Great your guests with a smile and a friendly attitude
    2. Present the menu and the chef's specials
    3. Take a drink order
    4. Take the food order and ask about wine
    5. Serve the drinks before the food ( wine including)
    6. Serve the food
    7. Two minutes - two bites check
    8. Clear the main course plates and offer dessert
    9. Ask for coffee and digestive
    10. Bring the bill and take care of the payment in a prompt manner
    11. Thank your guests and welcome them back

    This looked a little bit awkward, i think it’s more important to be genuine than fake, but genuine in a kind positive way, also you interrupted her when she was saying thank you to say your welcome, maybe I’m wrong but it’s still definitely great service!

    • @TheWaitersAcademy
      @TheWaitersAcademy  2 роки тому +1

      I see you have listen carefully! The interuption comes from editing the video, They have cut the two audio records a little slopy! Thanks a lot!
      It is important to be professional. Sometimes you have problems at home and you are sad or angry, can you go to work and behave as you genuinely feel? No. You still have to put a smile on your face and perform!

    • @TheWaitersAcademy
      @TheWaitersAcademy  3 роки тому +3

      Absolutely!!!! Great observation! You have to create a style for yourself and follow it. I always say that everything you do in the restaurant has to have your style and imprint all over it. Do evrything with finess and talk with authority!

      I, as a customer, like to take care of my napkin, as it will be on my lap which is my private area😂.
      As a server, I like to help guest for the napkin but take a moment to see if she/he want to do himself. Means,.…open the napkin to half fold, present it to her so it is easy for her to grab. If she doesn't grab it, thatt means I can place it on her lap.
